in his opinion, all three options presented sounded like a whole lotta effort he wasn't entirely keen on exterting, but he also wanted to be able to go back outside and not have to worry sbout getting jumped or soaked nearly every single time.
So, basically, the only choice was to participate in whatever the solution was. Fine. He'd deal and he probably needed to get out more anyway. Maybe he'd stick with this chick through it because, hey, a guy needed some friends.
Thoughtfully, fingers scratched through ginger scruff that seemed to only get thicker and itchier as time passed. He probably needed to shave. Oh well.
"Yeah," he agreed. "Sounds like we'll waste less time that way too." Because who really wanted to go and possibly fail a negotiation then be forced to go looking for the stupid thing anyway? "Name's Zane by the way," he offered also lifting up two fingers

Her own hand still up on the air, she'd offer the other, grinning. "Nice to meet you, Zane. I'm Soleil." The accent that had been faint up to that point strengthened as she said her own name. "How long have you been here?" Meaning the island, rather than the room they were currently sitting in.

His hand dropped into his lap the moment he was sure Melvin had caught his vote. For one brief moment a confused look passed across his face before he reached up to shake the offered one. "Likewise," he offered with a lazy grin that stretched across his scruffy face. His forefinger pushed up the frames of his glasses and he ran his nails through the somewhat decently frowning beard on his face while he considered her question. "Been around since...January I think?" He hadn't really been keeping track. He hadn't been doing much of anything except, maybe the bare minimum. "You?"

So not that much longer than she and Luna. "My sister and I woke up just before that ******** up mission in the desert a few months back." Even the thought of it made her cringe. She'd never had much of a fear of bugs before, but she was certainly wary of centipedes now. "I hear it's really nice here, weather wise, when it's not being drowned in rain from a pissed of lost civilization." She grinned, making light of a situation that she recognized as serious, but knew would be easier for her personally to face if she didn't fixate on the implications.

Kimberly didn't even vote. It wouldn't make sense. She would be going to the tree, she couldn't go to the water, so either 1 or 2 was all she had. Going in the water would be a death sentence for her and anyone who went with her, to help her that is. She closed her eyes. "If you decide to go to the tree I will of course be there, with that group. I told the tree it could keep the damned thing, and I need to ask it for it back." She grimaced a bit and leaned back. "This is a mess.."

Melvin started to count fingers, writing them down on a notepad before the votes were tallied up.
"Alright. Seems we have a majority vote. Option Two. We head out to the Creation Tree island, look for the artifact, and then go to Atlantis. I'll go and get supplies. I'll send everyone a text so leave your contacts with me. I suggest everyone get a good rest to prepare because tomorrow morning we will set out for the island." He explained and breathed out.
"I just - want to say thank you everyone for showing up. I appreciate the help and that we can work to hopefully fix this entire mess." He smiled to the entire room.Quote: WRAP UP! You can have your characters mingle and exit whenever they feel like it. A RP will be set up soon to start up the mission for Atlantis. If you got your word count in for a standard prp then you can claim a rp point. Melvin is still around for interaction - just quote whoever you interact with. Thank you all again for participating!

He had sure heard a lot about that desert mission. It had been hellish as pretty much everyone regaled so far. This time he wasn't going to mention that he'd missed it.
"What a killer introduction," he offered with a slight smirk. Green eyes flicked away as Melvin counted votes and announced what the game plan was. They returned to his pretty companion shortly after and he nodded. "It can be from what I've seen. Maybe we can play nice and this rain will stop so we stop looking like wet dogs any time we step outside."
It wasn't the strongest of his jokes but he tried. If Sol was going to try and make things lighter, he wouldn't argue.
His gaze drifted back to Melvin when he hummed, glad the meeting was sorta over. "Whatever the cause, hope we get it taken care of quick." With some effort he pulled himself up from the comfortable slouch against his chair and dragged himself to his feet. "You gonna stick around or you gonna head out?"
