Harrison could feel it coming. B0nez, too, was lit up, and everything was fast and furious now, and if the squid had an attention span, Harrison felt like it was starting to all get pointed directions he'd rather they weren't.
He felt the good and full weight of Tracey come bearing down into the meat of the squid, and it rattled both him and Rep's arm's with the force of the blow, so that left getting out alive.
Tracey had other ideas, though, and Harrison raised his eyebrows as Tracey lit up a second time. Blue shot across the surface of the giant axe. The fur on Rep's jacket ruffled in the face of an invisible wind. Harrison didn't know what was going to happen, but he took a hint, swearing with a soft, "Goddamn," as he shifted his stance and turned B0nez's main blade over in his hand.
Out of the corner of Harrison's eye, he saw Ferros lit up too, and threw an advisory Jordan's way as well.
"Thanks," Jordan called back, and moved in to attack the body as Harrison fended off the watery tentacles, his movements rapid, beautiful, shining blue.
Ferros's runes flashed as Jordan planted his foot and brought the huge hammer around in a long, sweeping arc, but the expected fireball did not materialize; the lashing rain and the watery nature of the monster snuffed the flames before they could do any damage, and the hammer's head barely skimmed the creature's surface. Jordan swore and retreated, furious with himself for having wasted Harrison's effort, worried suddenly about their efficacy against other water-based creatures.
Again, the tiny blonde was darting in to take a stab at the thing. Curved daggers sinking into that giant, soft body up to the hilts. Pulling them out wasn't as smooth, they caught a bit, and she'd take a tentacle to the shoulder before wrenching them free and bouncing back to a safe distance again.
"Damn, this thing hits hard."

When he came down, Tracey didn't go out. That was weird, that was really ******** weird. But what was weirder was the ring that he was sure hadn't been there before.
He didn't have time to think, so he jumped. He jumped and it happened all over again. Only this time it wasn't him, it wasn't him and it wasn't Tracey.

RUNIC BANDAGES FOR AL
Even looked tired, a bit worn, blinking up at the monster and brushing hair back out of his face. He didn't have it in him to attack again, he knew, not with how hard that thing was hitting. So his attention scanned the crowd, instead, and locked on a hunter who looked a little wobbly, but still ready to step in and strike.
"Hey!" It was sharp, to get Al's attention. Then he tossed runic bandages in his direction.
Melvin had an uneasy feeling since the problem had started, but standing near the lighthouse with the giant squid and seeing even more come from the ocean just made him more and more certain that things were very wrong. He left on one orientation and now the entire island was ********.
In the downpour, it was hard for him to aim as he tried to see through the curtain of rainfall that spotted on his glasses. Cursing, he pulled his googles off and decided that he was better off blind this way then trying to see through the water on his googles.

Rain was lashing down ferociously, and it took Noah some time to get to the lighthouse. He summoned Laz as soon as he got a look at the looming shape that towered over the chaotic swirl of the fight. It wasn't difficult to hit, even through the blinding rain. However, it hit back, and hard.
Noah backed off a little to regain his balance, looking for Al's red scarf.

She was already digging for the bandages at her hip. They'd take the edge off, offer a bit of a boost to her shield. Hopefully that'll be enough for her to keep going, otherwise she wasn't sure what she was going to do. What good was a Sun that wasn't attacking?
The relief was instantaneous. Peyton let out a small huff, shoulders rolling out. There was still a charge to the bandages, the runes still bright. Frowning slightly, she glanced around the battlefield, caught sight of Noah joining the fray, noted Al darting around trying to avoid taking anymore damage, and she sighed.
"Al!" She waited until he looked her way, then chucked the bandages at him. "Heal up, ********: 39 DMG: - Heals: 12 CHG: 2/3
Al was still running side to side attempting to avoid the creature's vengeance when he was handed a bandage, even if the effect was debatable, he felt grateful for the fact it meant someone felt he was worth keeping alive. He offered a fleeting smile before being made aware of an even stronger bandage flying his way. He barely lifted his head up completely to see who it was before it was applied and he just sort of stared at Peyton for a moment. He knew who she was, but the why just. He didn't get why.
No time to gawk, Nuru reminded Al. Right. He darted past Pey with a quick "TA," before lashing out with Nuru and suddenly Noah had a great big flaming neon sign to garner his attention as a massive burst of flames shot out of Al's weapon at the water creature causing it to hiss from the sound of steam being released. It was more than he thought he'd accomplish - panting and looking back at Peyton, still questioning her exact motives but certain he showed he was at least mildly worth the effort.
Then he went flying as water burst forth, hitting him like a freight train and almost completely extinguishing his flame for good.

The Mist's head snapped to the side, landing on Ever as he darted in to do exactly what he'd just suggested Zeke shouldn't. It had him lofting brows at the other man, lips pressing together in a thin line as he let the comment wash over him and found the cautioning words a bit rankling.
{Do not be hasty boil, he cares.}
Zeke snorted softly, and as Ever went to toss bandages at another intermediate, he was lunging forward to hit a glancing blow against a flailing tentacle.
And was promptly awarded for his efforts with a hard smack to the chest that sent him reeling backwards, hand pressed to his ribs as he sucked a breath in through his teeth.
There was always something. This time it was a big something. Sherry did what any reasonable hunter would do - She just jumped in to attack it. The rain didn't help her footing, and neither did the many crabs running around. Crabs that ran up her leg even as she slipped.
Sherry blinked up at the dark sky and sighed into the rain. She'd slipped, missed, and now had many, many crabs just crawling all over her with their pokey little legs.
She should have stayed inside.

Lysander heard a lot of commotion down by one of the buildings and showed up to observe, Roswell in tow. He eyed the completely enormous squid with scepticism and as subtly as he possibly could, made his way over to it.
"Do you think this one is real Roswell?" he asked. "It looks pretty real."
He spotted a figure on the building itself and waved.
"Are you all right up there?" he called.

"Sir, regardless, I'd recommend being, um, as far back as possible," Roswell said, looking white as a sheet, "Aren't those experienced members of the organisation struggling with a giant tentacle monster? And a wave of...what are those?"
The ground looked completely flooded with them.
"Sir, last night, I didn't get much sleep because I spent the whole time dreaming about drowning, and if it's all the same from you I'm taking it as a hint to stay as away from beaches. And that. And- sir, whoever it is, I'm sure they're fine."

"Huh?" the guy said, somehow surprisingly having avoided most of the damage. He was slowly slipping off his perch though, the tear in his coat hanging him to his loft growing wider and wider until-
- It split through the center and he fell face first to the shallow saltwater.
As did his cellphone, and about ten objects that looked like they shouldn't have fit in his pocket by any standard of pocket.

Anyone can roll 1d10 and pick up one of these objects. Once picked up, it cannot be used again. If you roll one already picked up, just pick the number closest to it (if there's two, pick one of the two). Rolling these does NOT do auto damage. Using them does NOT take auto damage.
USE LIST BELOW:
1. Smokescreen cube - a small runic cube that when thrown at the opponent causes a white smokescreen barrier. Evade auto damage for the next three turns for you OR another target. 2. Doritos - they're Doritos... 3. Empty beer bottle - An empty beer bottle. You can throw it at the boss for 1 damage. 4. Axe Body spray - Accidentally spraying it causes all creatures to be repulsed by you. When you miss, you will no longer be attacked by small crabs. You can quote as many people to spray them with the beautiful fragrance of axe chocolate body spray. 5. A cellphone - It's broken and doesn't work at all. 6. An old 7-11 slurpee cup. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 Edition! 7. Runic explosives - long cylinders that clearly have an explosive symbol of them. Unlatching them and throwing them will cause damage EQUAL TO HOW MUCH HP YOUR HAVE LOST AT THAT TIME. So for example, if you have 1/60 HP, it does 59 damage. Can only be used once. Can be passed to another player. 8. A Wendy's coupon 9. A half-used tin of runic bandages. Heals you for 10 health. 10. A - what is this? Another explosive. You press a button and - oh it's a Runic Lightsaber, it actually works? Attacking with it gives you 2d12-6 dice with no auto damage, but it can only be used three times before it combusts and deals you the same damage you dealt to the boss on those three turns with it.
