Such a man with no ties would be a good choice for Moreau. However, I did noticed a lack of how or why he was brought to the island. How would be have known about Feral Labs, etc? An idea thats comes to mind is perhaps if he got really sick or injhured, beyond anything he could fix himself, perhaps he would checked himself into (or brought to, if he was found) one of Feral Labs low-cost clinics since he would obviously have no health insurance. Then they would need to intice him to the island at some point.

There seems to be a few holes in the backstory that, while it wouldn't be required, I'd love to see some explaination for. Why was David so buffered/detatched from the rest of his family? Perhaps his parents marraiage was not approved of by the family?

Also, what -in particular- set David off to be so extreme. I have experienced a family torn apart by an excepted death, and yes, family swoops in like vultures. But a rough as things got, nothing sent me wanting to run into the hills and abandon society as a whole. Perhaps explain more that his love of nature/camping was in his blood and a very important to him beforehand.

Also, just a personal suggestion, perhaps if his parents were killed in more diliberate way? Like grusomely murdered? Something that also helps ingrain in David's mind that society/people are evil or otherwise "not worth it."

And, that said, ne prepared to face the RP challenges of playing such an introverted character. I've seen many examples where people claim to have such detatched characters, but then like two days into the RP the charactes are drinking and haveing a grand-ol time. It would be interesting to see this archtype played well for once.

The background behind him seems well thought out and the character is very believable. The idea of him being a webcomic artist really works.

While I can see Feral having some pockets in CC and such, really Marshall wouldn't be giving them motivation or reason to take him to the island. Especially in silence. Now, if for the first time in his life he stood up to like a boardroom (but nothing to public it would end up in a newspaper) they might "take him out of the picture".

Marshall could be brought to the island then the public would be told he was working on the writing for the show and he could drop off the public eye like many animation creators. It would likely be years before anyone would think to ask.

Doing this to him also would be an interesting role play challenge because the one time that he stood up for himself (especially with how hard that probably was) he ended up... well screwed for it.

Overall, Island Approved. Moreau just needs a motivation.

Very interesting. We were just discussing yesterday how, despite the excessive amounts of gay/bi men in online RPGs how hardly any of them have family issues or diseases.

I like the addition of HIV, however I'm unsure how Moreau or Aubrey would handle having an HIV positive subject interacting with other subjects. So prepared for some RP challenges as (IC)Staff might be prejudice again him "contaminating" their precious other subjects.

However, Moreau would pounce on the oppurtunity to test how/if they could cure the disease with gene therapy.

As for the ocular albinism - its to you whether you want to keep it or not... but you've developed a well-rounded, fleshed out character and history, I don't think you NEED it to be "special." In the end, personally, it just kind of tacked on. But again, sometimes genetic defects just happen. So its completely up to you if you want to keep or not.
