Student name: Sylkie Von
Prompt: Music share

Response: In My Blood - Shawn Mendes Sylkie stands up, clearing her throat before she reads what she’s written for the teacher. “I connect to a song called In My Blood. I feel like this is a song about staying strong over adversity. I’ve faced my share of things that have tried to bring me down, but I always break through and keep on moving. My twin helps me a lot with things that are going on. She’s my rock, my anchor to life and my strength. This song, to me, is like I’m calling out to her asking for help. That’s why it’s my theme song.” Sylkie sits back down in her chair.

Student name: Tabitha
Prompt: Music Share

Response:

Tabitha sighed as she considered her options. She herself wanted to be a musician and rock out on stages, but what did you pick when you were still trying to help your family through losing a family member? Milo's twin had passed away, and many of the younger pups were still troubled. Not that Tabitha blamed them...she'd been anticipating the arrival of them when she was still a Freshling. She had expected to have all of her adopted siblings to help guide and protect like a proper big sister should. Rubbing her neck, Tabitha sat up as she decided finally on a song to share. "Torn In Two - Breaking Benjamin suits me...especially how it talks about being Broken, but crawling back to life. I will fight the war my siblings need, especially if it means we can all make it through. We will Hold on and Rise. It's inspiring, but still speaks of the pain of being torn by the life you live..and have led." Tabitha smiled sadly, rubbing her neck some before sitting back down.

Student name: Jacie
Prompt: Music Share

Response:

Jacie moved into class with a bit of a hustle to his step. He had been looking forward to coming to music class. Jacie was pleased he had been able make it in a timely fashion so he wasn't rushed. Usually he was busy with volunteering and other activities. Yet today had been a fairly laid back, and made it easy to get things done. He had come prepared with his assignment, and already had a song in mind. So when it came time..he was ready to share. "One More Light by Linkin Park is a song that has personal meaning to me." He rubbed his neck slightly with a small smile. The song was not only for himself, but for those who's lights dimmed or struggled to stay bright. He cared for those around him, and wanted to make a difference in the world with his support he offered. Jacie felt a bit weird sharing something so personal, when he doubted anyone would really understand his connection to the lyrics.

Student name: Khiran
Prompt: Music Share

Response:

Khiran rubbed his neck thoughtfully. He guessed it wasn't so bad, he was just sharing a song that had special meaning. As he walked to class, he tried to make his mind up for what was the perfect song to share. He needed one that summed up his thoughts, and the war of growing up. It came to him as it drew closer to his time to present. Clearing his throat, he stood up. "Migraine by Twenty One Pilots is a good one. I too have my own personal connection to it...and if you read over the lyrics, it describes me fairly well." He smiled despite his restlessness, and the war he waged to keep himself composed. He had made it this far in life, and was proud to show a window into his own heart and mind in the form of music.

Student name: Amie
Prompt: Music share

Response: Teenage Dirtbag

Amie knew exactly what song was her theme song, the first time she had heard it she knew that it was about her. The song was an angsty teen who didn't feel like they felt in. Who had a crush on one of the popular kids but lived in the shadows and was barely noticed. As it turns out though they were noticed for how different they were. That was all Amie really wanted. Right now she flet like she was living in the shadows, unable to really shine. She really wanted to be noticed for how different she was. She wasn't like all the bimbos in this school chasing after any cute thing with their shrieking. She was chill, down to earth and wanted to just play video games and listen to music.

Student name: Huginn
Prompt: Musical talent show

Response:
Song Huginn plays

Huginn paused taking deep breathes. He was just about to step out and play in front of a crowd. He had gotten music lessons from his dad and he had oratived and practiced and practiced but he wasn’t sure he would be able to pull it off. He wanted to do well because his passions tended to come from yue but he wanted something he could share with his father.

So he stepped out and walked over to the piano. Sat down and let his fingers fly over the keys focusing on the music and not the crowd out there behind him watching him, he did briefly mess up but quickly covered the small mistake before hopefully any one could notice. When he finished a small smile covered his features. He was proud of his work and so he wasn’t suspecting the clapping to erupt when he was finished. Sure a lot of his passions were like his mom’s but at least this possibly he could share.

Student name: oiche
Prompt: Musical talent show

Response:
Looking at her list of electives oiche wasn’t quite sure why she had picked music. She wasn’t any great savant but maybe if she broaden her horizons then she could make more friends. However to her horror the final was a music talent show where one would have to play in front of people. It was a challenge but she supposed it would give her incentive. So she practiced and practiced and kind of worried her dad at the amount of studying.

Actually that was probably why she was a bit sick. Still it was the day of truth and she went out to play. She did stumble once and it was rather noticeable but she didn’t let it stop her she picked it up like the stumble had never occurred and kept playing smoothly. The tumble did make her sick to her stomach but she was pleased with the rest of the performance and she would continue working on her music skills in her own time so if she ever was in a talent show it would be flawless
