Things were not quiet for long as Daydream continued to look cute on the sands. Other eggs were rocking. Moluli divided her attention between the green and eggs. Who would be next? It was Snowdrift in the back. Another green made a more controlled appearance. She smiled; unbelievably pleased both were active and healthy.

Daydream took the initiative suddenly and dived into the candidates, while her sister insisted upon cleaning stray egg shells off. It didn't hurt to look her best. Moluli was forced to watch where Daydream went lest she find herself in the dragonet's way.

"Such pretty darlings." She commented just loud enough for those around her to hear.

Darting through the candidates Daydream seemed to be looking for something. Nope. No. Not there. In her eagerness she walked headlong in Vee with a startled squawk. The green quickly backed up, looking the candidate up and down, her eyes resting on Vee's hands. Oh! The green squealed, looking up at the candidate. I know you! Hello again! Although Daydream happily skittered in front of the girl, Vee would feel no new presence in her mind and the hatchlings eyes remained a happy blue.

Suddenly the dragons head wiped around. Wait, she'd been going something. Looking back at Vee she gave a happy peep. Goodbye, Vee! And she was off again, darting around bodies and worming her way between legs. The green kept her wings in tight, trying to some degree it seemed to keep from hitting people, but there were so many and they were so close. Ah! There! The green forced her way among the legs of a group of close candidates, wedging herself into the small gap. Plonking herself down the green tucked in her legs and tail, shifting slightly so that she had a wallow, trying to make herself as small as possible. Whirling blue eyes glanced up and met Joscelin. Shhh. The green shuffled some more and then went very still, scrunched up in her little ball. The green looked forward, rainbow hues slowly filtering into her eyes.

As Endalil admired Snowdrift he will begin to feel a tickling at the base of his neck, as though something were being lightly drawn across it. He knows dragons enough to recognise when someone else is touching his mind. The gentle presence brushes close and an eager giggle echoes through his mind. Oooooh Endaliiiil, coooome find me. He can feel an excitement not his own beginning to resonate through his mind. She can barely stand waiting for you, Endalil. Hurry! Your Wanjouth wants to see you! You will never find her if you just stand there. I will give you a clue, Wanjouth whispers playfully in his mind as the smokey tendrils of her consciousness root her permanently into the young man’s mind. A shaky image seen through rainbow eyes enters Endalil’s mind, she can see the eggs from her hiding place, the eggs and lots of feet. Come find me quickly, Endalil! Then we can play another game!

Endalil had been absorbed in watching the antics of the two greens. And really, how could you not? The smaller of the two was so merry that he wanted to play a game of chase with her. He watched as she made her way to Vee. And for a moment he thought she would Impress the tough girl. But she gave a series of chirps and was off again.

He watched as she wiggled through the boys and wondered who she was after this time. She stopped and began to make a wallow, pulling herself in so that she looked so small and dainty. He bet her hide would shine like a gem when cleaned. She wiggled and he could see the rainbow of Impression come across her faceted eyes. Then suddenly a very high pitched, girlish voice curled around his mind, soaking into his every fiber. Wanjouth. Giving a laugh, Endalil moved forward, trying not to shove with impatience. "Wanjouth, what a game you have played! But now, it's time to settle down. Here I am!"

Endalil stepped in front of the green who was trying to appear camouflaged in the Sands. Kneeling down, he gave her a little tap and grinned. "And here we are together. Well me, Wanjouth!". Grinning like a fool, he waited for her to ride before pointing to the feeding tables. "But first, let's get your belly filled."

Moluli shook her head in bafflement as Daydream green squirmed between a forest of legs then tried to hide herself in the sands. Just what could she be up to? None of the candidates around her acted as if they'd impressed.

No, instead a candidate from down the line started moving toward the rainbow eyed green. She smiled finally figuring it out. "Congrats," she murmured softly, although the pair would unlikely be able to hear her. One down. Moluli turned her attention to Snowdrift. Had she finished cleaning?

As Daydream bumped against her Vee gave a huff of amusement and nodded a greeting. "Alright?" She hadn't expected the cute little girl's eyes to change colour when she looked at her, not that she would've minded if they had of course.

She'd thought that Daydream was just going to play around a bit more but no, her eyes had gone rainbow and- Who was she looking at? Vee cast around with keen intent eyes, she couldn't tell who she'd picked! A moment later the question was answered, Endalil was making his way forward - not quite shoving those near him out of the way - and moving to stand in front of the hatchling with a stupid grin plastered across his face. Vee found herself grinning too, it wasn't like she knew the guy well but she was still pleased for him and for Daydream - Wanjouth apparently. It would have been a different story if he'd Impressed Lightning or Iridescent of course, it was a lot easier to be happy for somebody when they weren't 'taking' a dragon you though you'd felt a connection with.

"Good on you Endalil!" Vee called, she was pretty sure that wasn't against the rules.

What about Snowdrift though? The sturdy little green still didn't seem to be in much of a rush.

Daydream was surprisingly more balanced on her feet then Joscelin thought she would be. Still a bit bumbling but not snagging anyone by accident. She was rather cute an suddenly there.

What was she doing? She was making herself small and tiny and her eyes were rainbows but not him. Joscelin gave a soft amused noise and nodded. Still and quiet indeed.

So who was she bonding to? Ooh, him. Joscelin knew Endalil faintly from classes but they weren't close and well that was a cute name wasn't it. Different. Wanjouth. "Congrats," Joscelin replied as Endalil met with the happy green.

Look at every one here! They are watching and waiting to see my clutch mates! We should welcome them first! Wanjouth sat up a little and bugled as loud as a tiny dragon could bugle with happiness. She turned her head back towards her rider and stood up, moving closer. Okay, I am ready to fill my belly!

Endalil walked over to the feeding tables and grabbed a bowl of bloddy, raw meat. He knew he would have to feed her slowly, otherwise her stomach would bulge and ache. He offered her the first bite. "What do you think, tasty? I like mine a little more cooked than this here. Now, we have to decide how to change my name." The newly Impressed green rider looked over and gave F'liel a wave. He was sure his father and Vesunth would want to meet his dragon. In a couple days, for sure, after they were settled.

Zee glanced to see where Daydream had gone, and then noticed that she seemed to have found her partner. It was one of the guys, and she smiled as they made their way off the sands to find the food. That was the best start for the hatching.

She looked back over to Snowdrift, who hadn't really moved from where she had been. Hopefully it was just because the green didn't feel like she clean enough, and not because of any other reason.

She glanced at the eggs, wondering which would hatch next, and just what kind of dragon they would be.

Hardly a danger at all. Cai held still as the little green twisted her way through the candidates passing right by his knees with barely a look. Well he hadn't expected her to had he? Instead she slipped behind another of the young men near him and he saw the whirling rainbow of impression up close for the first time.

Fascinated as he was, Cai hadn't heard the merry laughter of the small greens actual bonded come up through the line behind him and jostle him to the side in his rush. "Hey!" Cai snapped then caught himself. "Ah..." Well. It was still rude. Cai peeled his robe from his skin again, now feeling even more uncomfortable. He didn't particularly like being touched. Especially unexpectedly.

Snowdrift appeared to be finally satisfied with the condition of her hide. Having meticulously removed every shard of shell and trace of egg contents from herself. The green adjusted her wings, fluffed herself slightly... and then sat down. Snowdrift sat straight and dignified in the sand, looking across at the candidates. Her eyes roamed the line, looking each candidate up and down before swiftly moving on. It seemed that she was still not ready to approach the candidates.

A little way in front of her an egg had been methodically making progress, steadily rocking back and forth as cracks spread over the blue and grey surface. One crack grew larger than the rest, spilling light into the egg, at which point it stilled. The tips of claws began to emerge from the crack, the inhabitant forcing the crack larger, pushing the shards of egg away piece by piece. First it was a job for one clawed foot, then two, then a nose began to shove away more and more egg. The dragon methodically worked at the egg until their was a large enough gap for them to climb out of onto the sands. The newest arrival, yet another green, looked around for a moment before setting off at an even lope. Well, best get started. Average veered right, walking to the farthest candidate in the line. There she stopped, looked up into the lads face, and swiftly moved on. Next, a girl, the same response. As such with the next candidate, and the next. At least she was orderly.

Snowdrift still didn't seem to be in a rush to choose her rider. Weren't they meant to get right on that? Not her apparently, she was probably too busy judging them all. Vee narrowed her eyes at the boldly marked green and folded her arms across her chest, were none of them good enough for her? Well maybe she'd better take herself over to the stands and have a look up there then.

Luckily another egg was on the crack so she didn't have to focus just on Snowdrift anymore. Vee turned to watched the banded Average egg as its occupant began an orderly exit from its shell, another green judging by the flash of nose she spotted? A few moments later she was proved right and she guessed it was fitting for an egg dubbed 'average' that it should be the most common colour. This one had a bit of purpose about her at least, Vee hadn't picked up much of an opinion on her from the egg but she already liked her more than she liked Snowdrift.

Joscelin looked up at Cai voice, catching the tone but didn't say anything. That had been a bit rude but he guess Endalil should be forgiving, impression and all though what did it feel like? He remembered Quill impressing on him faintly but that was a faint touch. More feelings and occasional flashes of colors then anything.

A third green. In a way it was a bit of a surprise and yet not truly. Usually greens were about fifty percent of the clutch and well even with the small clutch of eggs they likely still had the highest percentile of being well green. Still was it odd to have just three greens hatch?

Iskosian had stood still the entire time as the first green played her games. She was a bright and cheery little thing,, reminding him almost of the canines back at his cothold. He did his best to keep his thoughts clear of home but he wished his family were in the Stands watching him. Not that he was doing much. The second green had finally picked off all the pieces of shell and stood there, looking them over one by one. He felt like he was under inspection all over again. Iskosian understood the need for cleanliness, after all it was possible that those egg fragments could irritate the scales.

He was rambling in his own mind. Trying to shake his thoughts, he did give a cheer on congratulations when Endalil Impressed the dainty green. Slowly, they had become aquaintances and he would have to remember to say hello in person. Another green broke through its shell. This one a little more plain than her sisters but much more active. She began to make her way down the line of candidates.

Another green.

She knew that greens did tend to make up most of a clutch, but it was still a little worrying that none of the others had hatched. She was sure they would, the eggs had certainly been active enough, but she couldn't help but wonder if there would be more than an average number of greens since the gold had been so sick.

Would that effect the eggs at all?

She had no answers for that.

Zeeana smiled as she noticed that Snowdrift had stopped cleaning, but still hadn't made a step towards the candidates. Was she waiting for something? Her sister was, going from one candidate to the next. Who would she choose?

Moluli glanced around at the other candidates at the first Impression of the hatching occurred. Some would be sad they weren't chosen, some she could tell were holding out for another dragon, and some were happy for the new pair. It didn't take them long to head off, and she turned her attention back to the clutch. Snowdrift was done, but just sitting there.

Then another egg hatched and another green spilled out onto the sands. Her lips twitched. Were they going to hatch all the greens, then blues, and up the line? Now wouldn't that be an amusing hatching? This new green seemed quite methodical though. Starting at one end and checking each candidate. Moluli resisted the urge to snap to attention when her turn came.
