It was very hard to form sentences when one was so pissed off and obviously losing. But at least Melvin's taunts seemed to give him some accuracy. "You stupid piece of-!" HP: 45 Damage: 2

"If you don't like this, we can always raise the stakes." The action was smooth as a long, red gun formed in his hands, the design rounded and wormlike.
Green runes glowed as he lifted it with both hands and fired right into Jason's chest.

Jason had been considering summoning his weapon, screwing the rules and acting of his own accord. However Melvin had beaten him to the punch, his steel blade only appearing as he was thrown backwards by the sheer force of the gun's blast. He was barely able to nick at the others shield, scrambling to get to his feet and cursing the reason for his weakened state, it's sight safely hidden away under his gloves. HP: 27 Damage: 1

The happy taunting and chiding smile was gone as Melvin stared back, his blue eyes distant as he stared back at him, lowering his head to look down the sight, and aimed again.

Oh, yeah, he said that didn't he. Of course he said that, but this was when his shield wasn't reaching breaking point. Dam Melvin, he was going to make him pay. He felt the second blow, standing up with hatred in his eyes. The moon surged forward heedless of what the life hunter did, his sword ready to cut out his throat. HP: 12 Damage: 14

He stumbled back, jarred by the sward clashing against his shield. His weapon east a shot gun and close range dudnt suit it or him, but that didn't stir him now. Jason crossed a line.

It was clear he hit a nerve, and he was going to continue hitting that nerve. It was the only thing he had at the moment. "Yes they were." His grin hinted at the pleasure he took from such a low blow. "If they couldn't keep up, then they deserved every moment of it." HP: 6 Damage: 11

There was no hesitation as he aimed again
Why did these people live? Why did live see to it that the ones who were saved were the ones who didn't see the bodies they walked over to stay afloat? How could they not see how their standing here was squeezed out from the bodies and sacrifices of others.
He ate. He ate and didn't care for what he chewed under his maw. He didn't appreciate what died to keep him living, moving, breathing.
The slaughter and the meal weren't something he was grateful for when they kept moving.
What should he care if he tore them to pieces between his teeth too?
The gun jolted back, a hard kick as it shot at the other.
