β πlake πΏrinity β ββββ What were they going to do now? This wasn't the first time Blake had that question, but now it seemed to really matter. That desert kingdom was out of the question, and Eldrin would only prove a nuisance as Rowan had stated before. They were probably just as wary of the two as Carmillion. There was Yuki no Okoku, but they really didn't know enough about that area to consider it an option. The dragon kin woman could probably lead them to her kingdom. No way they'd take kindly to the wielder of Gram, however. Geez, took you long enough, she thought when he finally rose off their new...maid, as Rowan had put it. That was going to require some getting used to. Such a decision was the least of what Blake had expected. All the same, it was worth smiling about, at the very least. She felt bad, but that was about all the half-elf could do now. Back at the pavilion, Rowan had said that this was going to allow him to move forward as well. It's not like he was going to just drastically and suddenly change, nor did she expect him to. Perhaps sparing the dragon woman was the first step toward that, however. Where would they go from here, though? The mage was rather lost on subject. It was then that the young woman became aware of how stagnant the air between them suddenly felt. She was about to ask if he had any ideas when he murmured something about what he might want. Blake, curious, tilted her head to the side.
What happened next would leave her completely speechless and reeling. It took a second to even register what was going on, allowing her only a gasp before. The shock left her momentarily frozen, wide-eyed, and red as Rowan, Rowan, pressed his lips against her own. This was far more surprising than him taking his own killer as a servant, far from what she'd ever expected to happen at that moment. There wasn't, however, much more to do- nothing more Blake wanted to do than to submit to it. Rejecting every red flag that normally kept her from acting on impulse, she let her eyes drift closed, leaned into his embrace, and returned the kiss. It was soft and warm, but...was this really what Rowan wanted? No, she wasn't about to let her doubts ruin this. It felt like soaring...and falling, somewhere in between while his hold on her kept her from floating away or melting into a puddle. Even when he pulled away, the blonde found that she had to control her breathing to keep her chest from figuratively exploding. His rather...determined gaze didn't help at all, either. Blake could only stare back up at him, eyes wide with disbelief. "R-Rowan...what..." she could barely manage before he spoke again, saying something almost as shocking as the kiss that had just transpired. His expression, however, was what killed her. It was the first time she'd seen any type of color in his face, so despite how slight, Blake noticed. Rowan was always the first person to say that he was incapable of being any sort of embarrassed.
A slight giggle escaped the girl before she covered her blushing face, trying her best not to laugh. She didn't quite understand why. Something between how thrilled and confused he'd left her had sparked this, for sure. "G-geez! You don't have to act so strained! E-especially..." her voice trailed off. You're supposed to be my Knight, but I think I'm in more danger being anywhere by you! What're you doing? Trying to murder me? Saying something like that right after kissing me... Oh, man, you're truly gunna make my hair go white. Geez, I'm a total mess now. With a deep breath, Blake ran a hand through her green hair and smiled warmly up at him. "Hmm, if that's what you want, Rowan. Though you've gotta live for yourself too, don't forget. Th...thank you, though...for saying so." She let that sit in the air a moment before continuing. It was enough time for the color to appropriately fade from her face. "I didn't honestly expect a response right away...but...uhm, Rowan... On another note: where exactly are we planning on going?"

~Rowan~ "There used to be a point to everything, but since that day I can't seem to find myself caring about anything anymore. It's not because I don't want to, but because it's best if I don't." βββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ
What... is this excitement? I've never felt like this before... Even fighting against dragons and beasts far beyond my level has never left me... feeling like this. Just... what is this feeling? Rowan thought to himself angrily, gritting his teeth slightly as he tried to understand the embarrassment he was putting himself through, the feeling of his heart swelling and then shrinking as he tried to reason out the feelings he never knew he had. Maybe he just was not in the right mind... but something about this moment left him completely unsettled, restless even. And no matter how hard he tried to get his ground back, he could not. "It doesn't really matter where we go, pipsqueak. Even if we travel hundreds of miles away, there will still be people after us. The only thing we can do is face the problems we created head on and deal with the consequences." Rowan stated to Blake, still not looking her directly in the eyes as his face returned to its normal, pale shade. "Besides, whatever happens is on me, so you shouldn't worry so much. They can't execute me, and I doubt my body can even die, much less age. There's really not much that can be done to me." Rowan stated, finally taking in the fact that, despite his human appearance, he was anything but.
With that statement, a gust of wind issued forth as a large, white wyvern landed next to the two of them. Surprisingly, however, it was much smaller than the last time they had seen it, the creature having shrunk in size at some point. Still, however, it was double the size of your standard dragon. Such a terrifying creature would have undoubtedly unsettled many that looked upon it... yet Rowan did not feel distraught at all. "I see you came back... Argent..." Rowan stated, staring up at the creature as it stared back, a similar look in both of their eyes as the two of them seemed to be bonding on a rather strange level. That was the effect of a pact sigil, however, and now the two of them would be bound together until their deaths. "I'm sure Argent can fly us to the ground, and from there we can head back to your parents place. Otherwise... we'd be running for the rest of our lives. We couldn't have any sort of life with that constantly following us around... and what is there to do besides try and live a new life... with what we have now?" He proposed a question, trying to figure out their meaning now that their job was accomplished.
He also turned his attention to their new maid, eyeing her with great disdain at first before controlling his gaze into a neutral dissatisfaction, his natural expression so to speak. "And I guess we're bringing you along too... Just... mind your manners. It's good to pick up on how you should act from here on out... given that you're a maid now." He stated, as if this had been decided by the fates themselves and there was no overturning it. In fact, the statement almost seemed comical from him, given how serious he stated it despite the entire concept being ridiculous. "You can start by learning to speak politely to us and not be uppity or pretentious. That smug look on your face really annoys me too. It's like you're trying to irritate me..." Rowan stated, his eye beginning to twitch as he continued to state his dissatisfaction with their new maid. "And when you realize how harsh I am, don't think you can go running to Blake for a reprieve. I'm gonna make you pay for every sin you committed by reforming you into the best servant anyone could ever ask for." Despite the ridiculousness of the statements, the intense malice of his voice could probably be felt by the two of them, especially the destructive aura emanating off him as he threatened the dragonkin. Something about his ridiculous statement probably held truth to him, and there was some disastrous animosity hidden in that hilarity. Natalia should probably prepare herself to be reformed into a proper maid.

All I am is a weapon, and that was all I was trained to be, since the beginning." Z.O.M.B.I.E.

NATALIA - - - - - "Let me show you the supreme art that is war." NPCβ Dragon Kinβ "...Maid" The maid, huh? A grin pulled at a corner of Natalia's mouth as she pulled herself up. No longer being in combat, it seemed wasteful to continue on in this form. Her claws and scales retracted to reveal delicate-looking hands, her huge tail seemed to disappear entirely, and only one set of horns remained. The most dragon-like aspect of her that remained was her clawed feet as she spun her axe back up onto her shoulders like it was nothing. The dragon kin caught sight of a rather intriguing view that caused the woman to raise a silver eyebrow. Heeheehee, those two are acting like a couple a grade schoolers, especially that brat. How sweet. It seemed like quite a lot was hinging on this. I wonder what would've happened if one of them hadn't made it. Ah, and I'd just been moments away... She tried to pretend that she wasn't eavesdropping on every word these two said, making herself light enough to float a few feet above the ground as the lovebirds situated whatever exactly it was they needed.
From what she gathered, they were on the run from someone- she could only assume the law since her superior, Rowan, had mentioned execution. What interested her more was his statement afterward, hinting that he wasn't quite as human as he seemed. He spoke as if his body was a separate entity from him entirely. What is he? A homunculus? She grinned to herself brightly. Things seemed to be lining up very curiously. This smile was almost instantly wiped off her face when a large white wyvern appeared, landing near Rowan and the bratty blonde. The previous then turned his attention to her, suddenly sending very, very frustrating chills down her spine. His mention of her joining them only began to cement her knew...position. The thought forced her to stifle a growl.
"Understood. Yessir's, yes ma'am's, all that jazz." To be fair, it's because I am trying to irritate you. How nice; it's working. Despite how ridiculous this all may have sounded, the kid was clearly seriously. Unfortunately for Natalia, she was too. With a rather unamused sigh, her expression fell from entertained to aloof. I'm starting to think that I should've just thrown my face under that scary blade of his. Who knows, though? The blonde seems like she'd at least be fun to play with. Heehee. Blake and Rowan... it sounds like the dragon kin will be spending quite some time with them. Being around Gram that much would pose to be rather eerie. "Understood. Play nice, no crying to Blake, epitome of servitude. If you did not already know, your new maid goes by Natalia. So, we are taking a wyvern where, exactly? Carmillion?"

β πlake πΏrinity β ββββ A sudden dread made Blake's still pounding chest sink. Rowan's mentions of "consequences" caused her to completely think pass the Carmillion guard and straight to her mother. She still couldn't quite wrap her head around the fact that Cheyenne had put a bounty on them. The half elf grumbled to herself. "Eh, it's not as if I can't just drop the charges. As far as the military knows, I'm the 'victim,'" she stated making air quotes with her fingers. "Either way, I don't think we should be testing the resiliency of your body unless absolutely necessary..." Though she had a similar hypothesis about how he'd age if it'd worked back then. Testing out whether or not dying was an option for him wasn't in her itinerary, though it did get her necromantic thoughts boiling. It was probably dependent on how tightly bound Rowan's soul was to his body. Blake had poured nearly all of her mana into doing so. It was definitely rooted in there... "No, for once, my worry is for my own sake. Mom's not a moron, and coming along with you was my decision. The fact that she's criminalizing only you just might be her being spiteful. I probably wasn't even close to being considered for release... It's not like I'm under her absolute rule or anything, though she can most definitely take my job from me, but I don't know if I can dig this ditch between us any deeper..." She sighed briefly. "You're right, though. We gotta face this."
When the wyvern suddenly showed up, Blake was surprised that it was smaller now. Granted, the thing was still huge compared to even the adult dragons that she'd scene, and far larger than any wyvern could hope of becoming. Was its change in size for the sake of their convenience? Argent? It had probably already taken that name before its meeting with her Knight, but she raised an eyebrow anyway. You're going to break that poor bear's heart. "Let's just hope we make it there before anyone notices us. I'd rather deal with them before the Carmillion guard." Honestly, I hope we don't run into much of anything on our path home. It's not like much would pose as trouble with both Rowan and that woman, but I'm up on my major summons for a few days. Whether there were implications in Rowan's questions or not, Blake had to glance away all the same to hide the slight blush that returned to her face. "Mmm, yeah, I was wondering the same thing," she admitted with a smile back toward him. "We'll sort things out. It'll be fine."
The dragon kin woman, soon to introduce herself as Natalia, was really going to serve under Rowan? For some reason, the concept made Blake a little uneasy, but at least this way, they could keep an eye on her. Who knew? Maybe the Knight would be capable of reforming her. What would her parents think when they saw their new companion? They both saw the memories too, and it's not like Blake had mentioned in her mail to them her and Rowan's intentions when it came to bailing out the way they had. She was going to ask if he was still sure of such decisions, but the ferocity behind his voice when speaking to the dragon woman even gave the fae chills. Natalia's question seemed to be geared more toward the Knight, so Blake took to making a platform large enough to hop up on the wyvern.
