The instant Noemi pulled away, Milo pouted and made a point for her to see his expression. "I wasn't made for cold weather, yeah." He gave her hand a squeeze and leaned into her, almost draping himself upon her smaller frame as they trudged through the snow towards the lighthouse.
Yes, he was being a bit over dramatic, after all he had been through a few actual winters now and even snow (mostly because of the island). But it all made for a fun excuse to attach himself to the smaller girl - not like he ever needed to find one.

Lawrence hated the cold and being wet, so snow was obviously one of his favourite things there was. He'd ventured out bundled up in a scarf, two jumpers and his heavy coat and gone off island for ingredients for christmas dinner only to come back to people ominously milling around as if there was a mission on the cards.
He considered sneaking right back to his house.
---
Rep on the other hand ******** loved snow. The arctic was half his home and anything that gave reprieve from the balmy heat of the island was completely and utterly welcome to him.
Like an over-eager husky dog let out into the yard to play in the snow he'd gone out for a walk, irished up hot chocolate in hand in a manly hip flask.
He spotted Cael from a distance, barking at people but was too late to see what he'd said, sauntering up, he took a sip of his drink.
"What're the bosses orders today?" he said casually.

When it had become apparent that all parties involved were not in any way injured(physically), Peyton had taken a step back, watching in quiet amusement as Mark turned his attention from Caroline to Lucky. A wide, vaguely wicked little smile had spread along glossed lips as talk of a threesome turned rather quickly into something far more awkward, and not for any of the expected reasons. Adopted mother? Wanky. It stopped being amusing when a familiar, and bone chilling, voice cut through all the chatter. Jake went flying, others were shoved unceremoniously aside, and Peyton wisely shifted herself out of the immediate line of fire. Her last big encounter with the Death lead had ended in gun shots, acid, and the loss of an eye...not her's, no, but the images had a way of lingering. Talk of a mission wasn't surprising. And the petite Sun gave a very small sigh before shifting her scarf, and heading towards the lighthouse obediently. On the way she shot off a text to one Andrew Miller. She didn't want him to worry. syrie Text to Andy: Cael's on a war path, apparently there's a mission. See you later, unless you get roped in too. -------------------- Zeke had started paying attention when one of the louder hunters had gone flying. Cigarette still resting between his lips, he'd leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees, watching as Caelius stomped over and started assaulting people and barking orders. Orders that apparently included him, despite Zeke having not actually been a part of the little knot of people. ******** minutes later, he turned up at the lighthouse with his scarf pulled high, his hands in his pockets, and his coat zipped up to his chin. "A mission, goody." --------------------- As a Death trainee, Gretchen should have been pretty used to Caelius' behavior at this point, but she still found his overly abrasive(was that even the right word? It didn't seem accurate) demeanor jarring. As always, she clammed up quickly when he showed up, remained silent as he gave his orders, and followed them obediently. Rep's question provided a brief, though welcome distraction, and she looked up at him and his hot chocolate. "Uh, mission. He wasn' very generous with the details though." Offering an apologetic, and slightly strained smile, Gretchen slipped off. She would be among the first to arrive at the lighthouse. -------------------- It was really for the best that Liam had missed the whole Caroline-flirting-heavily-with-mark-about-threesomes thing. It would have been a bit disillusioning. He showed up after, alerted by the shouting, and slid silently up beside the tall red head as Caelius took his leave. She looked a bit...shaken. He touched her arm gently. "Are you okay?" Why did everyone look so nervous? (Everyone is open to interaction. Because I'm a gluten for punishment)

Kimberly walked outside and into the snow, her first thought was of who the poor saps were that were going to have to shovel the mess away. Of course it would be the unlucky trainees. Ug.
She sighed and headed out to where other hunters were frolicking or otherwise gathering in the winter whiteness.

Melvin loved the snow. Usually it was icy and covered this time of year back home, and he was always disappointed when he couldn't wear his best sweaters due to the constant heat and humidity of the island. Since swimming was out now, he instead walked the grounds enjoying the sound of the snow crunching under his booths as he looked out into the coating of white all around.
That was until he saw a collection of people around several leads and coming closer, heard them all be unceremoniously volunteered to go to the Lighthouse for a mission.
He had just been in the jungle mission and then the Library one right after that. He - kind of just wanted to make a snowman.
Moving closer, he looked about at the group. "What's going on?"

Noemi's face shifted into one of worry as she saw that Milo had gone to pouting (LOW BLOW). It made her want to hug him anyways, because he was very adorable and she still had all those feelings for him and he was just...Her face continued to stay red as she anxiously waited for him to joke with her. "It...It's that Island life..." She joked a little.
She took his weight well though, and continued to walk a normal pace. She was super curious about this mission though.

And all of a sudden, Lucky.
Gale attempted to shove him off, shaking snow from his hair as he gave Caelius a suspicious look.
"What mission are we going on now?" he grumbled, climbing to his feet.

It seemed like every other day on Deus at first. A touch of frost in the air that had Kyle adding on the layers to keep himself warm while he altered his running route to loop around the training ground instead of the uninhabited parts of the island so as to avoid a repeat of the snowed in incident from last year. That aside, the Sun trainee did find himself rather fascinated with snow and truth be told, he had wondered at times if it would snow again on Deus like what they had last year. Certainly it was only a matter of time given that it was about as cold as it was last year at the moment.
When Kyle stepped out of the dorm building and found the pavement and grass covered with snow, he took a couple of steps forward before turning to smile back at Matt like a child who had just received his very first Christmas present for the year.
"It's snowing..."

In previous years, Oliver had resisted the urge to go out into the snow, instead hiding away in the labs to get work done. Right now though, papers were filed, reports were signed, and he had no good distractions and no good reasons to not indulge his cold-appreciating Canadian heritage.
Thankfully he missed the unfortunate naked misunderstanding. If he had been a little bit luckier, or a little less efficient with his work that afternoon, he might have also missed the Death division lead ordering them to the lighthouse straight away in the most spectacular fashion. Bodies were flying and everything.
Oliver looked around nervously, trying to figure out if his awkward timing had gotten him included in the group.

Andy had missed a good deal of the merriment in the snow due to shifting some boxes around in his basement room; he didn't spend much time there and it was basically storage for himself and Peyton (and Jordan too) at this point, but he wanted to make sure his beloved red baseball cap was still safe and sound. One never knew. What he didn't didn't miss was Cael's sharp words about a mission and the lighthouse. Well damn, there goes my wish for a calm and boring holiday in bed with Pey... Moments later his phone buzzed with a text from his sort-of-but-not-titled-girlfriend. After quickly firing off a response the rangy Sun hunter started looking for Peyton; if he were going on a mission, he wanted to be near her as much as possible - he could watch her back, and she his. Beejoux Text to Pey: I came out just in time to hear the orders.

Snow wasn't something that Tommy shied away from, but nor was it really so enchanting that it drew him like a moth to a flame. More, to him, it was just a slightly inconvenient challenge to his outdoor workout regimen, especially since there was a fine line between dressing warm enough for the chill and light enough to not sweat his butt off in. The gathering of trainees and hunters outside was difficult to avoid, and so was the sight of several of those being tossed around like rag dolls by the death lead. Tommy skidded to a halt during his run around the building, turned an ear to listen, and grinned widely at the mention of a mission. He loved missions. Dark eyes flitted through the crowd for any familiar face, and the first to be spotted was Oliver, a person who he'd become fairly close with over the past year. With smile still plastered across his face, he jogged over, and looped an arm around the young mans neck, pulling him down for a noogie. "Hello my friend~" He said, cheerfully, while turning to drag Oliver towards the lighthouse. "It seems as if we are in for an exciting day!"

Well that was convenient. Peyton tucked her phone away in her hip bag as she turned to spot Andy trudging his way over. "You could have stayed behind, you know," she mussed. "Avoided whatever crazy hell hole we'll probably be thrust into." Knowing Caelius, it probably wasn't going to be pretty. The Death lead had a habit of leading them into situations that were awful even by hunter standards. On the one hand, Peyton liked having him with her. It meant she could keep an eye on him, make sure nothing too awful happened. He'd help, watch her back. Not a Moon, but he had a good reason to stay on his toes. On the other hand, imminent and real danger. Well, it wasn't like he had a choice now.

The petite Death realized slowly things got weird when Mark pointed to Lucky, who was known as Mimsy's brother. She had no idea what the Death Assistant meant by threesome between Mimsy's brother, maybe Mimsy's mother and him at all. Thing got weirder when the redhead she wasn't familiar with stuttered in words and the said Lucky attempted to hide behind her, which was pretty useful regarding her size. Her eyes travelled between Caroline and Lucky, when someone who made her hold her breathe approached and Lucky disappeared. If some became rigid out of fear, Shu's reaction was for another reason. Frankly speaking, it's respect and fangirling. Never had she been at that close distance to the Death Lead, at the few seconds he spent, her eyes rolled widely, pinned on him without blinking. The internal screams she made had drove the beast crazy. Fanning the heat off her face, Shu acknowledged all the hunters were called for another mission. How nice of him of informing him personally instead of sending cold text? Shu figured the Death Lead wanted to join their fun as well, but he seemed a bit awkward. The small huntress smiled and waved at Lucky, "Are you alright? And does another one pass out? We get only five minutes~" Her eyes were sparkled with excitement and curiosity, their leader always gave challenging tasks and help pushing their limits. Melvin's voice caught her attention and a swift reply was given. "Our leader came and informed us that we've to arrive at ligthhouse in five minutes for a mission - maybe four minutes thirty something now." She well used her remaining time to build a small tiny snowman while giving a watchful glance to the stiff Caroline, who was approached but another hunter.

Malkam had navigated his first...what, adventure, mission? Which had been weirder than anything he could have ever imagined. But kind of cool. And they hadn't really been in any danger.
They'd gone straight from that to getting kicked out of the house, and back to Malk's dorm room, which is where he'd wanted to be anyway. Mik was taking it really, really hard though and Malk had been pretty sorry about it. He'd even offered to apologize to Lawrence, but Mik said it wouldn't do any good. And it hadn't. He just couldn't respect a guy like that. Even if he was Mik's dad.
He wasn't his.
When it started snowing, Malk pulled on his cold weather stuff and went out with Mik to investigate. He bravely tasted a snowflake.
Woooooooow, Jorm said. Oh, it's so romantic!
"Aren't we in Bermuda?" he asked, flushing at Jorm's comment. He didn't understand why his weapon sounded like a cute girl. Mik's didn't.

Mik was glum. He'd been happy in the house with everyone. He cared about all of them, Melvin, Rodney, Melody. He'd hoped that in time their little strange family that wasn't quite a family would be able to mend all the wounds he'd built up and that he'd be able to properly reconcile with his dad.
And then in the space of a few days it was all over and he was back at square one, with a brother who told him everything he'd learned and built up over his time here was somehow wrong, a bother who told him that he needed to get a girlfriend and that being gay wasn't acceptable at all.
The snow should have cheered him up, he liked the snow, it reminded him of ice skating and winter. In his head Fen approved of it also.
It didn't totally. "Yeah we are." he said. "But weird stuff like this happens all the time here. Last time the snow stayed for weeks."
