"There used to be a point to everything, but since that day I can't seem to find myself caring about anything anymore. It's not because I don't want to, but because it's best if I don't."
As Rowan and Alistair climbed the mountain, they were greeted with a horrid sight as they came to the top of a cliff. It was a large, brown reptilian creature fighting a large gathering of soldiers that did not seem familiar. Rowan would have guessed they were from the current kingdom they were in had it not been for their choice of clothing. While they were dressed for warmth, they were dressed in red, brown, and gold colors, sometimes even blue. In short, they were very brightly colored and did not fit into the surroundings at all. The troops they had seen before were wearing blues and whites, to blend in with the snow, which was natural for soldiers. These people, however, were like a beacon for creatures to attack them out of nowhere. That must have been why they were fighting this large creature to begin with. They had caught its attention with their brightly colored clothing and it started trying to fight them. Sadly, it did not seem like they really had a chance to do much against such a powerful creature. Numbers were on their side, sure, but the creature looked very powerful.
Rowan simply turned his attention to Alistair and spoke to him with slight irritation. "You know, let's just set up camp. I think I saw a village not too far back. We can head there after we wake up tomorrow. I just... I need to sleep this off. I don't think I can deal with much more of this. I thought our luck turned around when we found this... but it just got worse." He stated, riding his bear in the opposite direction of the fight. He was pretty sure that Alistair did not want to get caught up in whatever squabble those soldiers were having either. After about twenty minutes of travel, Rowan finally found a place that they could set up their camp. Hopping down from the large creature, he began to set up camp, even making a fire for the two of them. While he may have not needed it thanks to his coat, Rowan wanted to make sure that Alistair could survive the night. "Well. I have to say, this was probably the worst trip I've ever been on. I'm not sure what to think of the good loot we managed to get because it was severely outweighed by us running from almost everything." Rowan stated, sitting near the fire and looking over at Alistair.
"If we send a messenger bird to Blake tomorrow, we can probably make sure that Carmillion is informed about this kingdom before night falls. I just hope that these people are at least somewhat friendly to outsiders. I don't want to be caring around these dragon parts forever." Rowan stated, patting the bags that he had removed from the bear. Speaking of the bear, it had curled up next to him and was acting like a pillow for the young man. It was so tired from their traveling that it had already fallen asleep. Rowan simply leaned into it and felt the warmth its fur created, somewhat soothed by it. "As long as Blake gets some money, we should be fine." Rowan stated, mostly to himself rather than Alistair. It showed just how much Rowan cared for Blake though. After a few hours, Rowan doused the fire and went to sleep.
"Even if you tell me that there was a point to bringing me back, that still doesn't seem to mean anything to me. All I am is a weapon, and that was all I was trained to be, since the beginning."

So you guys stumble upon a great battle between an army who's uniforms you don's recognize and this thing. Your party is far enough away to be able to see the entire battlefield, the monstrous creature roaring as it takes down tens of men at a time, but the soldiers aren't ready to back down just yet...

The Knight saw no reason as to why Blake would complain about the bow. Rowan most likely wouldn't treat it as such, but she'd probably see it as a gift all the same. "It's not so bad, if you find the right Mage. Cheyenne may be as venomous as a snake to you, but she's a good person at heart. Our lives aren't a dream, there are ups and downs to everything. We make a good team, though, and I'm happy. Personally, I can't ask for much more. Besides, I'm not much for the limelight, and both those girls have my last name. I know what I've done, proud of it." Alistair understood reality, but he was the sort to look at the better side of things, despite his demeanor. He didn't want to belittle Rowan's own issues, though. "Besides, both those girls have my last name, so I guess I count somewhere." He laughed a darkly. "Blake will probably try to press that it was you, though. Kid's like that..." Alistair was surprised that the kid didn't want to be revealed as the "dragon-slayer." Not only would some incredulous legend be springing about, but people would either revere or fear him for it. Perhaps it wasn't something he was looking for quite yet but considered for the future. Either way, it was a brave and mighty title. The man chuckled when Rowan asked him not to tell Blake but still promised to keep the secret. "My lips are sealed." Whether or not having Rowan around negatively affected Blake in the eyes of the public, Alistair had a feeling that she hardly cared.
Later, when the kid got pulled up in the rope trap, to took everything Alistair had not to laugh. He'd planned to follow dismantle it safely so Rowan wouldn't fall, but the young Knight just called over the bear, seemingly to have a plan...that fell through. Literally. Alistair couldn't stop from laughing when the guy hit the snow. "I could've helped ya out," he offered, a little too late.
After continuing travel, the two came upon a true battlefield. Yeah, this all-out battle wasn't something Alistair would want to sink his teeth into. The reptile was probably more than he could handle, and it didn't look like a dragon, so even Rowan might not have an edge enough to help those people. His shoulders heaved with a sigh at the unfortunate turn of events. Even after the kid began moving on, he looked on for just a moment. "I'm sorry." Though no soldier on the ground could hear his apology, it was still heartfelt. "Sounds like a plan," he responded. "Think you could've taken on those dragons?" the man asked, referring to the nest from the day before. Alistair helped set up as well, throwing up the tents. "Friendly or not, they'll be weary of us, given whatever's become of those dragon-slayer cries." This was nice, nicer than Alistair could've expected. Whatever unfortunate or ridiculous events had fallen on them during this trip, it was...almost worth it. It had played out a bit more frustrating than he'd thought, but he was able to gauge Rowan's capability of serving as his daughter's Knight. Even more so, and more surprisingly so, the kid even revealed that he had some will to look out for her. Looks like you were wrong, darling.

AND WHEN THEY WOKE UP, THEY WENT TO THE KITSUNE VILLAGE TO SELL STUFF AND MAKE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!
The sky looked as if it were and endless void, the sun had set not long ago, and the temperature had already plummeted to a chilling low. The landscape had the feeling of being changed when deprived of ones sight. Amidst this frosty and dark terrain two sets of footsteps could be heard crunching the snow beneath their feet. Michael and his "Awoken" friend had been marching through this harsh weather attempting to find...well something, Michael couldn't tell what it was, but it was bound to be somewhere, or even just anywhere, something was tugging at him, something was missing.
"Michael, where are we heading?" The smaller Undead asked, it's body tattered and worn "We've been out here for a while and I haven't seen anything other than Wildlife and fauna since a while back ago?"
Icicles had formed on the bushy beard of the smaller undead. An arm was missing and a larch chunk of his rib cage had caved in. Its' body was stocky and compact, but visibly covered in muscles, the remnants of a once proud Dwarf warrior.
"It's not that I mind too much ya'know, just wondering why we're out here?"
Michael, much larger, and much wider than the Dwarf stopped and looked out into the vast wilderness of this snowy realm and let loose a heavy sigh.
"I don't know Mjorin..." Michael turned back to face his traveling companion, his gaze shrouded by the greathelm, but his breath was visible as he looked at Mjorin "I really don't know."
For a brief moment he kept staring at Mjorin before returning his gaze to his front.
"Well that's fine, i suppose, I ain't got much else to do after my untimely demise anyway." The Dwarf shrugged with his one good arm and shook his head "Best thing I can hope for is another chance at that Beastie that took me from this world."
Two things, good sir. One, the request needs to be submitted in the proper forum before you begin. Additionally, you need another RPer to adventure with. ^^ This is to encourage interacting with each other. Now, the other RPer doesn't have to post every time, as evident by the examples, but you do need someone tagging along with you. They can control your NPC for you or use their own character if you like. ^^ If you feel uncomfortable asking other RPers to adventure with you, me and Living are perfectly willing to tag along as best we can!
Also, that is not how the dice rolling works. You roll the first die, being a six. That symbolizes the FIRST HOUR of exploring. Then you roll the next level, and then the next. ^^

As the Quiet infused more and more with the Snowy Rockscape, the sounds of the footsteps became clearer and clearer. Very Quickly it became obvious of the advancing parties whereabouts to any who were interested. The heavy footfalls echoed slightly through the mountain as the advanced.
"So are we going after that beastie then?" Mjorin asked happily, his decaying body shaking with anticipation.
"If we come across it we will fight it, but for now I am just looking for a place to lay down." Michael said quietly
For some reason there was something about this area that weighed on Michaels' heart, and he couldn't quite grasp it. He merely shook his head as he moved onward.

Don't Lose Your Way!
It's unfortunate, but with all the similar landscape of boulders, cliffs, mountains, and snow, it seems that your party has lost its way! It may take some time to find your way back.
To do so, roll 1d20. If you get a 10 or higher, you'll be able to continue on your journey once again! Get a lower roll, and your party will remain lost. Each roll trying to find your way back will take away 1 hour of your regular journey. You may begin these rolls on your next post. If your party cannot find its way back before your six-hour mark, you'll either have to set up camp or return back to town.
Reginald was following behind the armored man, wondering just what they were supposed to be hunting out here in the mountains. Reginald almost never left his village because he was not partnered with a Mage. That meant that he was usually living off scraps or whatever he could managed to procure off the streets. It was very lucky that he managed to come across someone that he could go on a mission with to get money. The thing was, however, the man seemed kind of creepy to him. There was a weird aura about him and a strange smell. Reginald did not question it though. He wanted to make as much money as possible from this trip so that he could live a pretty fulfilling life. To do that, he needed to make this partnership last as long as possible and not irritate the man he was hunting this creature with. C'mon, Reg. You can do this. All you have to do is make sure you don't irritate this guy at all. If you can do that, then there's no way you'll have to work again a day in your life.... maybe. Reginald was not sure what they were hunting or how much they were gonna get paid, but he assumed it was a lot.
Unlucky for them, the group managed to get lost very quickly, the monkey man becoming visibly upset after a while with how things were going. He was expecting to get the job done and then get back to town very quickly. "C'mon! How did we get lost this fast!? There's no way! We're not supposed to get messed up right out of the gate!" He audibly complained, his tail flicking back and forth as he sulked behind. It did not take long for his spirits to perk up though. He was a naturally easy-going guy and nothing bothered him too much. This was just a small bump in the road, and they were going to get past it fairly quickly, he was sure. All they needed to do was find their path back.

Looking around Michael immediately noticed he had passed the same stone three times now. The Mountain was not one to offer mercy to anyone, especially some unknown Undead wanderer. Looking behind him, he couldn't quite remember when he picked up this other fellow, but his memory has only come in fragments recently, for all he knows he may have very well been here from the start.
"This isn't the best outcome...." his cold gaze fell onto the surrounding area, the snowfall and the coupling of Night had made it near impossible to follow even his own track. "hmm..." a low, deep, hum flowed free as he thought.
Slowly, he reached to his left hip and pulled out the ominous lantern that looked as if it was merely adhered by frost to the armor. He stabbed his Massive blade into the ground at his right side and proceeded to turn the little knob at the side of the lantern. As the chilling blue flame filled the area with light icicles formed on Michaels' body and draped down from the arm and hand that was holding the lantern up high now. Turning a few times, and making sure to keep his shadow over the living companion, or, if he could, out of the light entirely, he began to take a step forward, grabbing his blade in his free (right) hand.
"Let's try this way." He said in his trademark chilling tone.
"Anywhere ya' lead i'll follow, at least until I get my revenge, that is." Mjorin said as he kept behind Michael by around five-to-six steps.

(Damn, forgot to roll again, sorry, a new concept that i need to get attuned to.)
Fortunately for you, you rolled a ten! You were able to find your way back on track, so you may continue your normal rolls! Congratulations! Thanks to your speedy recovery, you only lost an hours time on your trip.
