Sunchoke, having found more than one shell earlier, decided to stand in line to present the nice doe with her shiny, stripy find. That buck looked downright mean! Why would anyone want to be so grumpy in such a nice season?

Heartbreak concludes he's going to give this a shot, and walks up with his item. Unfortunately a slightly modified turtle shell with banana leaves full of sweet goodies wasn't cutting it. >.> Maybe the buck simply just didn't have a sweet tooth. Who knows!

Darkness Calls looked back and forth between the long line in front of the doe and the grump buck by himself. He shrugged and trotted over to the buck. Perhaps his treasure would catch the buck's interest. Who could say no to a shell full of nuts? Apparently not the buck, because he took them!

Sun-Bleached ... might have cheated a bit. He returned to the seed-pod bearing bush from earlier and broke off another of the odd clusters, bringing it back to give to the doe at the end of the long line. It's not like he was giving the same thing to the same kin, so it was okay, right?

Another chance to give a gift! Too shy to offer anything to the buck, Low Tide waited patiently before fumbling something out of her clay-and-shell pack for the older doe. This time her gift was a small, cracked rock - but upon turning it in a certain light, a cluster of pretty crystals could be seen hiding in side, glinting in beautiful white and pink tones! "F-for you!"

Heartbreak tucks the small trinket back down into his turtleshell where he'd been keeping his tokens and sighs. Oh well, another day another try. Maybe eventually he'll impress the buck. Unbearable Truth was definitely right; he's very hard to crack! His mind begins to tick with other things he can bring along in the hopes of impressing him. Clearly it's time to crank up the creativity!

Who would have known a pretty but dead beetle was interesting? She was a bit sad to see her collection go, but the tokens? Yeah, that was pretty awesome.

Steam nudged his gift forward after a long, long wait in line, throwing his head back in pride. It was a black rock, but embedded in it was a seam of glittery gold. "I found it a while ago, and I thought someone might like it here! So, um, here you go!"

"You can have a feather, too," Optimist grinned. She liked that there were multiple booths where she could do the same thing. She'd only had to make one trip to some crane's nesting area to pick up a few feathers - this one was a bit more pink than teal, but still lovely, in her opinion.
