Lex licked his lips, watching the cat stalk and then hiss. He narrowed his eyes, watching her. She was slowing it seemed. "I think we should have this in a bit." His next moved missed mostly, but the cat hit. "You know... what are we going to do when we turn her back? Because she is going to be naked." Lex asked, thinking it over. It wasn't as if they could escort her, nude, across town back to her house. HP: 30/50 DMG: 2 Cat: 26/60

"I brought an extra t-shirt," Brian said. It was a double-X, but that just meant it was going to fit anyone, right? "She can have mine too if she wants!" He wasn't sure how Lex would feel about abandoning their clothes. He wasn't a hundred percent on the non-binary gender and was too embarrassed to ask, but at least he tried, right?
He loosed an arrow that struck hard. She was going to be coming back with bruises, that was for sure. Ouch.

"Well, more on depending on her body type... she might not fit in my clothes," Lex admitted. He was short and svelte and well, she had a child. Lex hummed, moving back and forth on his feet and moved forward, hitting and bouncing back to keep out of Brian's way. HP: 25/50 DMG: 4 Cat: 16/60

Brian shot one final arrow, and it struck the bobcat in the neck. The animal, already breathing heavily, teetered and fell to her side. Given a few moments, she did not rise. Brian rushed to her.
"Hey, hey. Are you with us?"
Her eyes rolled up and met his. He smiled reassuringly and dug the t-shirt out of his bag, holding it up to shield the bobcat from view of the building.
"We're here to help. We have something for you to eat. You'll be fine. We talked to your mom. We're gonna get you home."

Lex moved forward, digging out a cure from his backpack and knelt by the small wildcat. "Okay, you got to eat this, and we'll get you home to your kid and mom," Lex said calmly, giving a reassuring smile and maybe took a moment to pet that soft fur. So soft. "Can you eat this for me?" He smiled as the cat slowly crunched through the cube, makings sure all of it was devoured before stepping back to give the transforming women room. She was rather curvy, and yeah.... his clothes were not going to fit her. "Brian has a shirt for you to put on," he added, turning around so she could have some privacy to pull the t-shirt on. Brian smiled to the woman as she turned back. Oh, good. They'd had it right. Did they usually have bobcats in Michigan? He offered her the shirt and turned to look away while she pulled it on. When she was relatively covered, he held out his hand to her.
"Sorry about all that. Come on. I'm Brian. This is Lex."
Before leaving, the two were offered a moly flower (which Brian gestured to Lex for- four was enough) and a strange page of runes that Brian couldn't recognize from the site of the cursing. He tucked it away regardless of that fact and helped lead the woman back toward home. On the way they learned of the strange magical group, of Vanessa refusal, and of the curse. In return, all Brian could offer was that she would be safe now. presumably she already knew not to eat or drink things offered from teenagers dressed in black.
When they came very near to the house, Brian considered just setting her free on the lawn and escaping as fast as possible, but Vanessa was weak and was going to need help up the stairs. Besides, her mother deserved closure. Vanessa could probably offer the most, but he felt for the older woman and her plight. He couldn't imagine what it would be like to lose a child.

The moly flower found it way into his backpack with all the others. Well, they weren't going to be short on moly flower or cures any time soon. He gave an easy grin to the women. "Lets get you home." Lex followed, listening to her story and nodded. It sounded very familiar and who was responsible for this? Left over goth kids? Did she have second in commands? Circe was going to be a pain it seemed. He paused when they came near the house, uncertain and shook his head. "Go on a head," Lex said quietly, nodding at Brian. "The old women doesn't know me, and I rather not get her to start questioning things that are happening at the moment."

It might have been a good idea to scout out a back door, Brian realized, but this would be fast. They could divulge very little of the actual information to Vanessa's mother.
"Alright," he said with a nod toward Lex and continued on with the young woman alone.offered them his bow and arrow, which had been put aside upon the first arrival at the home. He then continued on with Vanessa alone.
"Now, you can't tell your mother about what we do really, but the closer you stick to the story, the easier it'll be to remember. The first go of it can be a real shock, magic being suddenly real and all." He helped her up the stairs slowly and then came up to knock on the door. The doorbell would be secondary attempt.

Lex settled in, glad that Brian remembered to take off his weapon before going to drop of Vanessa. Police didn't go around with bow and arrows nor brass knuckles. Lex snorted slightly to himself. He probably looked like a no good punk, with his piercing and weapons and slightly to large hoodie. Actually... he should totally paint his nails when they got back. He had french tipped them for Halloween.... mmh, maybe black with silver race lines. The door opened up not to Augusta but to a small five year old with dark curling hair and big brown eyes. Her eyes lit up and with a ear piercing shriek of MAMA, which likely alerted most of the neighborhood, she tossed her self into Vanessa middle, clinging like a monkey.

Brian smiled when the door opened. Oh, look! She was a cute little one. Looked like her mama. He smiled to Vanessa then and patted her hand while slowly removing himself from her side. Should she want him to stay, he would, but everything would be easier for everyone if he and Lex jut disappeared. They had found Vanessa in one day, after all, and the police were already working the case. That was a bit suspicious from nearly every perspective, except the one that had dealt with Circe.
Shaddaling Guess he's not waiting for the mom if he can help it. xD

"Think that is it... we did good," Lex grinned at Brian, offering him the bow and arrows. "Think this is going to be about the last of it? Or we are going to be cleaning up after Circe for a while?"

Brian's smile faltered slightly and he shrugged.
"Who knows? We took her captive, and we don't know if she was bluffing. I'm willing to fight as long as there's fights to be had, though." he took his bow and arrow and nodded. "You about ready to get outta here?"
