Zac, rather looked like he'd stepped in a cow patty. "Um... right, forgot you weren't there for that." He flushed to the roots of his hair. "You know, fey?" He said cautiously.

"Well, I mean, they are sort of like them?" He stammered. "...I mean they have fetches, and courts."

"The ******** is a fetch?" She sighed. This place had so many different flavors of weird, and they all tasted like bullshit. "So there's a fancy court, with nobles, and there's werewolves and other werejunk and..." Her sigh this time ended on more of an 'argh'.

She paused for a moment, looking deep in thought. "D'you know if they bleed red, oxygenated blood?"

“Yeah…. I mean, the nobles do, so I imagine the fetches do too, I think… I mean they are people who tried to be noble, and failed.” He shivered. “And god… yes the Nobles bleed red, just like us.”

"Oh." She paused. "I guess that shods that idea." Different colored blood would've been too easy. She didn't get it - what was the point of being a noble if she could fail? Unacceptable. "Why is bullshit rainy so weird?"

He had to laugh, it was a good summary of how things were in regular Ashdown eve if it was strangely dry here. “I think it has to do with, with the fact the cage is broken.” He murmured. “I really don’t know if it would have changed anything had we brought them home. I like to think so … I want to think so. But this is what we’ve brought about.”

She nodded like she knew what he was talking about. And she sort of, kinda, maybe did. It had to deal with those missing teenagers who weren't so missing, after all. "Why d'you keep sayin' we, though?"

"Ah - yes, sorry." He sighed. "I... it just seemed faster than saying, those whom were there, those whom have... contributed, like myself, through action or inaction, to what has happened, what is happening."

Preacher let out a low whistle. "Lookit you, takin' all that blame on y'self." She stood up, hitting the backs of her thighs to knock off any stray dirt. "C'mon. Instead of sittin', let's go somewhere. Don't matter where - show me somethin'" She held out her hand.

He gave a small laugh, and took her hand. "Well, someone has to take on the weight of the world. Think how bad it would be, if Atlas really did shrug."
