"Of course I will," He says, expression warming a little. He was starting to feel a little better about skating, about keeping himself going. He was not, however, about to let go of Thorne's hand. "I mean I basically moved into Coalsmoke with out an invitation and made myself at home, why wouldn't I let you keep me?"

He nods, considering. "That's really nice actually, skating with them. It sounds like fun anyways, to blow off college stress. Better than what I did." He takes the curve with only a slight nervousness, glad that he doesn't fall.

"If you say so," He smiles this time actually, happy. "Um, depends on the location. Jeju we had run of the beach, so I spent a lot of time there or just reading, or harassing Hyejin or-" He pauses there, takes a breath, "Well. In Ashdown it was when I was older, so we went to the mall, or the beach again. We got good at setting bonfires and Hyejin managed to steal beers enough that it was enjoyable."

Thorne laughs again, happily, and takes them around another bend. It's entirely mundane, nothing interesting to speak of at all, but he could not be happier, more pleased with himself. His eyes flick to Chris warmly. "You act like the door hadn't been open to you already. But I would like that. To keep you. And believe me, you can keep me for as long as I do not drive you mad and up a wall. And then you have permission to smack me upside the head."

Thorne hums, and smiles at the blond. "Well, until we all ended up in a pile. Then it was just a circle of blame going around when really it was all of our faults for falling over."

Thorne switches himself to skating beside Chris once he thinks the other has it down enough to do so without him leading, and reaches to twine their hands together. The chill can't reach there, at least.

"Really?" Thorne asks, looking back at the other. He catches the pause, but doesn't press it, eyes fluttering slightly with concern. "The beaches sound nice. I'd like to go back again sometime with you to one. We can swim. Maybe one year we can even fly out to Hawaii. Wren's family has a vacation house out there we can steal for a week."

He takes a breath as they move, steeling himself for a question that he wants to ask. A question he's wanted to ask for a very long time but has never had the courage, not until now. The door is open to him and so he looks up at Thorne and gives him a nervous smile, asks, "So does that mean I can fully move in now? Get rid of my shitty apartment?"

Chris laughs, bright and happy. "Sounds about right honestly, all of you are ridiculous."

When Thorne switches Chris wobbles for a moment but then regains balance, starts to work slowly. He's doing it, oddly enough, and he's proud and a little nervous. Mostly proud. Thorne's hand in his is a very, very nice bonus on that and he grins.

"I'd love to go to one with you," He says softly, "Hawaii would be nice, just me and you and some nice beaches. Although, you still need to meet Hyejin, although I think I'd rather have her fly here. She can terrorize us for a week. She'll probably try and plan a flight the minute I tell her come to think of it. It's why I haven't exactly told her yet, although the longer I put it off the worst it'll get."

Thorne smiles at the question, looks as though Chris has given him something he'd been afraid to take on his own. The lights shimmer overhead, blooming like starbursts in gold and white. He catches Chris's waist and dares to kick them into a spinning circle, laughing as he does so, until he pulls them to a halt, grinning at the other, wild and warm.

"God, please do," he says, "I've wanted to ask that for weeks." His eyes lid, slightly. He tilts his head. "I didn't want to sound selfish though, but I think I might give up trying, if it means having you live with me."

Despite the smile, his cheeks flush a bright red that reflects to his ears. He is still so new to this. To Chris. To everything.

"Well, and I expect since I put you through the hell of both Declan and the lunatics over here, meeting Hyejin and letting her grill me is the least I can do in return," he teases. "But I would like to. I really would. Let's just try not to mix Wren and Hyejin together first, because I think that would lead to something exploding - quite possibly my head."

He touches Chris's cheek with one hand, a soft question. A curiosity. The want that lingered him, still trapped without a voice.

"I would go anywhere with you though, you know," he admits, "Even if you told me you wanted to go see penguins in the Arctic, or some equally absurd idea. It's yours, all of it."

Chris is nervous to look at Thorne, nervous to see his reaction, but it's something bright and happy in return and he laughs as he's pulled into a spin. He can't even find himself to be worried they'll crash, too happy to care, the lights shimmering over them and catching Thorne's skin in a way that is gorgeous, beautiful. He could be in this moment forever.

"I've been trying to ask for weeks too," He says breathlessly, feeling himself smile so hard that it looks like he's squinting. "There's no way you can sound selfish, I've been living with you for awhile practically anyways. Ask me anything, there's no way you can be selfish with me, not when I've already been myself."

To see the flush on Thorne's face makes Chrin give a laugh again, pleased. He is used to the blush on himself but to see it on Thorne is a treat and he takes it, saves it to memory. He could do this all day, just saving what Thorne is to mind, collecting pieces of him. Of them.

"You say that but you've never seen Hyejin when she's in the mood," Chris says lightly, raising an amused eyebrow. It'll certainly be a sight to see, that's for sure, since she's rather protective of Chris. But that'll be another time. "Oh god, no. Forget your head, they'd wreck the universe by their powers combined. Throw in Lauren to the mix and honestly we'll be in some trouble for sure."

Chris leans into the touch like usual, eyes closing softly. He's afraid to let go of Thorne's hand in case he goes sprawling across the ice, but he's not going to reject Thorne's touch. Not now.

"Yeah," He replies softly, "Yeah, I would too. Anywhere, everywhere, so long as it's with you. I'm all yours."

Thorne laughs.

"We are truly a pair of idiots, aren't we?" He asks, but his tone is warm and endlessly amused. He could spend his entire life with Chris like this, arguing over pastries, entertaining each other with a comfortable silence through the night when neither of them could sleep. It's a bit overwhelming, a bit frightening. Thorne has never felt this way before and it baffles him.

"I wonder if it's selfish if the other person wants it?" Thorne questions, amused. "I'll be as selfish as I want now, then. We can figure out how to move the rest of your stuff out of that shitty apartment of yours when we get home. Maybe we can even build something nice for the cats in that corner that we rarely use."

He laughs then, the light catching in his eyes. They're illuminated here, the two of them, and it's not even Christmas. Thorne wonders about the holidays, just how festive they'll get. Just how many more times Thorne will get to take Chris out on the ice, or out for candycanes in the middle of the night. Will they cut down a Christmas tree? They'd better.

"I'm sure I will," Thorne says, "And that terrifies me. But I'd do it for you. Of course." He smirks a little bit, running his fingers into Chris's hair. "I'll make sure Lauren is thoroughly out of their range of detection. I'll send him on a wild goose hunt for suits or something, tell him I need help dressing up for a date. Of course, he'll think it's because I mean to propose and fly into a panic and call every designer he knows."

He laughs a little, fond of the man's antics, and looks up at Chris.

"Even if I make us fall?"

"Well, considering the masses that have already told us and the masses that are going to tell us when he get back to Ashdown," Chris says, bemused and teasing, voice light. "I'd have to say yes. But it's worth it, for you. Always worth it." He means it with everything he has, means it for everything they have, for lazy days together and putting his feet all over Thorne and the comfortable silence they have together. For every single little bit of life they share, the reminders that he is loved, can be loved.

"There's not much left," He admits casually, a little shyly. "I moved most of it to Coalsmoke, bit by bit. I don't know if I have anything for the cats, but we can always build something like you said. Give them something else to terrorize besides the plants."

He hums softly, happily at Thorne's fingers in his hair. He loves this feeling, loves this time they're able to steal just them. Loves the fact that Thorne is his, is really his, that they're together. It's a wonderful feeling.

"Good plan," He laughs, "I don't want to see the fallout of that but if it keeps him away then by all means. Just so long as he doesn't come after me for anything about marriage. That was such a strange first meeting."

Chris looks at Thorne and his face is thoughtful for a moment, still. He leans in and kisses Thorne on the lips gently, soft and sweet.

"I can imagine no one else better to fall with. I trust you."

"God," Thorne retorts, "The masses are going to be awful. Why didn't anyone ever say anything to me before? I suppose I might not have listened - but still." His eyes are dancing, alive with light and life and amusement. He cannot help it. He is unabashedly happy here. "As it is for you," he murmurs, "You are worth it - worth everything."

It is a price he would pay, easily, never questioning it, again and again.

"Less manual labor at least," Thorne teases. "Well, we can go shopping together for the cats sometime. Maybe even one day I'll take you through the hell of Ikea in search of another couch, or one giant papasan."

Thorne pauses and appraises their situation, the way they sometimes slide and stumble across the ice, not quite stopping ever, only moving in circles whenever Thorne lets their momentum swing that way. It almost feels like a clumsy dance.

"Oh, he will," Thorne says with a grin, "He'll drive you insane. But eventually you'll realize he just wants to be the best gift-giver at Christmas, and that means being overly involved in everyone's lives, I guess."

He pauses.

"I won't let you fall," he says, softly, "And if you do, I'll go down with you. That's how this is."

He leans forward and steals another kiss, gently running his fingers through Chris's hair. Above them, the lights continue to glow and ward away the dark.
