Being welcomed with wine and a smile from his sister did lighten Roland's heart slightly but once entered and hearing her out his heart was at a crossroad. He places the cup of wine down on the nearest surface before then taking a tender step to his pregnant sister. "As your brother, of course I will protect you beloved sister...You are all the family I have left..." His heart still saddened by the loss of their sister, "But I do have one curious questions. Do you know for sure who is the father?" The prince asked outside of arm's reach of his sister as he gave her a rather stern glare.

The knight stood their contemplating for the slightest of moments before saying what he needed to say. "How could I say no to you m'lady Hysteria. Like others of our family's past it is my honor to do whatever I can to ensure our family's bloodline never leave this world. As a knight and as the son of my father I promise to lay down my life at a moment's notice for you and my niece or nephew to be. Being a b*****d doesn't damn their soul, I only care to see who they will be." While Roland did harbor a distaste for dragons he was more prejudice to dark dragons for what one did to his father. While chances were low that his sister's child would be a half-breed Roland was betting the child being a phoenix child. Only thing he worried about was what was the class of it's father. His sister might be promiscuous but it would be a pity if she settled for anyone unworthy of her gorgeous beauty.

Roland takes a step forward and places a tender hand upon Hysteria's belly before then rubbing the expecting mother with protective care and smiling eyes to Hysteria. "For the future of house Bellris, I promise to do my best for you both." A kiss upon his sister's cheek to keep that promise sound, and then a step away from her to bring up a new topic to his sister's ear. "Speaking of the future of our house, I also have something I want to speak to you about. I'm sure you know about our recent trade of caravans disappearing on route to Zalto...I ask that you please send me to investigate the matter and solve the problem immediately. I fear that if we don't see to the issue soon other problems might arise; Like the questioning of our republic's strength."

To the cooing comment about he being able to see the Princess of Zalto again, Roland blushes but tries to ignore his flaming cheeks whilst looking away; Unsure if Hysteria has noticed the letters he had been exchanging with Athena just before the civil war. But soon the unrolling of a map had captured his crimson gaze again as then a smile blooms to hear his sister's proposed plan. "My sister, you are quite quick on your toes in snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Alright then," Roland reaches for his placed cup of wine and swirls move about the aroma in his hands, "I will try to convince King Arthur to join in the united major roadway and afterwards I will fully see to the end of this mystery on the roads." A gulp of the wine and the royal knight quickly smiled while letting a cough slip. "Goodness, this wine is really rich!" Roland usually didn't drink at all except for the occasional small cup for food pallet, yet he was beginning to show much more actions of a battle-seasoned man than that of an innocent ruby eyed child he once use to be. "While I am excited to be a part of this how do the council members feel about this plan?" He asks not knowing how counselor relationships are going at the moment for he has been fully wrapped up in the limelight that came with a victorious campaign in a revolution.

Roland's eyes open with surprise to hear that his sister was trying to pay for the road all by herself. That was a fool's challenge that could never be accomplished but since she had started on the thought at least he knew there was the start of the united major roadway. "Well...it will be a hard battle to convince the entire council but I want our republic to be connected to the other lands not only physically but with friendship as well. It will be more expensive since the road will be of stone rather than dirt but perhaps the road will end up paying for itself with all the added trade that will feel safer traveling to us." In all honesty Roland liked the idea of the united major roadway but the problem wasn't what he thought, it was what the other lands would feel and then proposing the plan to the council members that worried him.

Taking a sip of the wine this time, Roland takes a look outside through a window of his sister's room and while watching the on goings of the outside world. "I plan to ride out now... promise me you'll be safe while I am gone and try not to do something too bold." As a member of the alluring and regal Bellris family that might be easier said than done.

Quickly, just as his sister Hysteria had kissed his forehead
Roland would kindly take hold of his sister's face by her cheeks and plant a kiss on her forehead as well. He then gives her a hug and holds her close as he speaks. "I love you sister, and I know that our sister did too. It may had been hard for her to tell you that but she would let me know it all the time." Releasing Hysteria, his eyes held a small light to them that held the shine of the divine sun as he reads the feelings laced in her face. "If you truly do feel guilty for what you had done then repent for it and live decently as a woman that would put your old self to shame. I know then for sure that Theodora will forgive you for sure." One last petting hand to his downhearted sister as he too shares some of the blame for what has happened to Theodore. If had been a more attentive brother...if he had been a better knight...then maybe Hysteria wouldn't have to be feeling the way she is now.

"I must ride off now. I mustn't spend all day here when there are duties to attend to." Though he wasn't the official envoy of Bellris to Zalto he still was going to very well act like it. If the council did catch wind of this ploy to gain support from the neighboring foreign powers then so what. Roland was willing to do what he feels right and speak about by heart. If they see this as a move for power however... He might have to accept it and say this is for his own selfish reason to not draw ill attention to his only surviving sister. If the people can not trust it's head of government then the government is sure to fail, and the Bellris family has done too much to fail now.

"I thank you for the blessing my sister. I pray thee well and farewell." He loved his sister and wished he could ease every worry of hers but he couldn't. There wasn't enough time, and there were ways he couldn't be there for her how she would need someone to be...like maybe the father of her child to be. The bedroom's door was closed softly as he leaves Hysteria to her own devices and then the Second in Command could be seen in the middle of open castle grounds before transforming into his phoenix form and flying away on mighty blackened wings.

Hysteria was smiling softly as she looked down at her baby boy, his puffy lips and closed eyes. She was pissed off. Her spies had reported over the last several month upon her brothers dealing, his words...it wasn't really that she was pissed off, which she was, but she was also hurt. He was supposed to have protected her but instead he had been off making dealings behind her back, acting on authority he did not have, undermining hers, destroying her deals. She could forgive his love for the Zalton Princess, she had slept with and had the child of a Phobian King. Whom he loved was his business, but when it came to the safety of her people, her countries secrets, and the Ethe trying to take over. Hysteria held onto her child tight, the new born letting out a soft cry of pain which immediately had Hysteria loosen her grip on the baby. If was probably best she wasn't queen any more or she would have had her half brother hung for treason for what he had done, instead because she wanted her child to know how it felt to have a family, an uncle, and because she had spread the power out amongst the council- or at least tried, she didn't have the authority to out right have someone killed legally anymore, she could have him arrested until he was put on trail, but she wanted to give him a chance. She wanted him to explain, she wanted her spies to have lied to her.

Hysteria felt her heart start to break as she thought about it, her lips pressed into a thin line, as she held back tears. She did not know if these where Hysteria's tears or if these where her own true tears. Her family had betrayed her, if her spies where right the only remaining person besides her and her new born- her own blood brother, had betrayed her trust, had betrayed Bellris. Part of her wanted to ignore this, but if what she had been told was true... it was unforgiveable. The door was open, awaiting her brother, two guards stood just inside and just outside the door.

Hysteria didn't even look up at her brother when she heard his voice, instead she looked over at a nurse and handed her boy to her "Take him outside to see the sun" she said to the nurse whom bowed and whispered "yes queen" despite Hysteria having relinquished her title. She may no longer be queen but Bellris had been a monarchy for decades and a republic for one, mixed feelings still ran about. Hysteria would wait for Roland to enter the room before the guards left the room and shut the door behind them, moving in front of it just in case.

Hysteria would look at Roland as calmly as she could, however with her child no longer in her arms, her anger was starting to show in her eyes "Roland, You have only one chance to explain to me as to what you have been doing" she said to him, her tone very formal, her words clipped. "Why you have been going about exercising authority that you don't have as a council member and certainly did not have as a prince" Hysteria said "Our blood relation will not soften the blow if so much as a single word from your mouth is a lie" she hissed at him.

Hysteria looked at him and took a deep breath "First off, offering a council position to a person that first off is not a citizen of bellris and secondly without affirming it with the rest of the council." Hysteria started off, she didn't seem pissed off about this "I am talking about this Baroness Kai from Ethe. I had it half a mind to bring an Ethen onto the council, but because this is a council and not a monarchy any more it needs to go though all of the council members, until then she is not a council member, she is not a citizen, and any authority you may have told her that she has is not recognized!" she said, her voice hitching at the end causing her to have to take a breath as she put her hands together to hold her fingers together. "Secondly interfering in Ethen Politics, personally I have no problem with you doing so, we share a mother after all; she made us both devious. However what makes this disasturous and troublesome is when we have deals going that make other deals redundant. Why are you making deals with the nobility when you can make deals with the Queen of Ethe directly, while you where busy speaking with the nobility the Queen of Ethe has already agreed to the building of roads though Ethe in exchange for food, something I had gotten support from the council woman Agnes from before her death" Hysteria looked at her brother "All of this is forgivable, and reversible, however what I am told is that you planned on not only giving this....Count Dixon, Bellris land, but keeping it exempt from Taxation! No One is exempt from Tax! Not even me!" Hysteria stood up "And I will not have a landless foreign imperialistic supporter from Ethe have any type of power in Bellris!" she snapped, anger causing her eyes to narrow "Not to mention that this is farmland. Farming is Bellris' largest and main economic pillar! It is that farming that keeps Bellris from having to rejoin the empire, because we have more farm land then the rest of Epsilon combined. This farmland, now that we are a republic, the farming secrets we use to farm the hard soil of Bellris is a secret belonging to the council and to its people! It is the one thing that is unforgivable and inexcusable!" Hysteria was yelling now, and when she caught herself Hysteria took a deep breath to calm herself down, her body shaking "Roland, Bellris stays relevant because of our farming capability, the fact that we can turn hard cold soil into farmable land, that we are able to stave off the winter and still manage to have the highest production output gives Bellris power, power we can not afford to loose. If anyone finds out how to till our land and use it for them selves their is NOTHING stopping them from coming into Bellris and committing a genocide. As soon as the Empire finds out how to grow grain from ice and change salted ground into green pastures, we become irrelevant, our entire republic, all 200 plus years of Bellris' existence becomes erasable." Hysteria took a slow breath though her nose "I want to know all of your dealing that you have made with this Baroness and Count. I want to know what of Bellris you have promised them, what you deem so importaint that you go behind not just the councils back but would keep from your own blood...." Hysteria said, her words seemingly calm but really their was a coldness in them that even the icy north could not match. Her words where cold, her face showed anger, and her eyes showed fear, fear for something that may not be reversible and a queens fear for her people.
