She stood up and paced over to him, patting him on the shoulder once. "I'll tell you when you're older," she said in a solemn voice, nodding once before dropping her hand.
"Anyways- love you big cat. Do good on yer cop work or whatever. Make sure you don't ignore li'l Rosie though." She held up a finger before he could speak. "You ain't named her yet so I get t'call her whatever I want 'til then." She gave the rat a little wave- none for Shun- before going to the door.

That was a string of words that he did not expect to hear. He just sort of stared at her in confusion, silent.
