Claire heard what Sawyer said and she shot him an evil glare. She knew that Charlie was going to be mad now, Sawyer would be lucky if Charlie didn't hit him. She kept her cold glare on Sawyer until she started to cough again.

Charlie glared at Sawyer. "For your information I will be right outside along with the rest of you "men". I'm going to be right out there, in the rain and cold and lightening so that Claire won't feel embarrassed." He then turned to Claire and smiled warmly. "It's okay, Jack just needs to make sure that you and the baby are not at risk."

Claire nodded and then looked at Jack. "I hope I didn't hurt the baby, it just started as a runny nose and a slight cough," Claire confessed.

Jack, like Charlie, smiled warmly at her. "Don't worry. I'll make this fast and as painless as possible . . .mental wise. I know this must be embarrassing for you to go through . . . but it's nesassarry." He replied, coming over to her and squating down beside her. He nodded to Charlie, Boone, and lastly, Sawyer, to all walk out. Before leaving Charlie leaned down and kissed Claire on the forehead, then left into the pouring rain.

Soon Charlie and the others were called back in. Jack walked out to go to the stream to wash his hands. Charlie went and sat beside Claire, not saying anything. He knew she must have a lot on her mind.

He knew she must have a lot on her mind. Claire threw her arms around him and hugged him; burying her head in his shoulder. "That was uncomfortable," she muttered into his shoulder.

Charlie got up and marched over to Sawyer, eyes glaring like fire torches. He looked as if all he was going to do was talk him down again, but to everyone's suprise and relief, he swung at SAwyer, hitting him square on the jaw. "SHUT YOUR BLOODY MOUTH!" Charlie shouted as he pounded his fist into Sawyer's face.

*Kate slipped into some dry clothes in a darkened corner of the caves. She couldn't help but laugh to herself about the spat Charlie and Sawyer were having, but it sounded like Charlie had punched Sawyer so she decided it would be a good time to step in*
Would you two stop it! Claire isn't feeling well, and I am sure your not helping things.
*Kate crossed her arms and looked back and forth between the two*

Sawyer acted like he was going to walk away, but as soon as Charlie had had his guard down he jumped him. "If you think you're getting away with that, you're dumber than you look!" he yelled as he wailed on Charlie, a flare in his eyes.

Charlie fought back, hitting him, biting him, doing whatever he could. He hated this guy. He was always putting people down. Always acting like a bad a**. He needed to be taught a lesson. Charlie was able to get him off of him and he punched him one last time in the gut before falling back, tired. Jack had come up by this time and had to grab Sawyer to keep him from going back onto Charlie.
"Stop this you two." He snapped.
Charlie wiped the blood from his nose and lip and went over to his bedding beside Claire and laid down, turning away from Sawyer and Claire.

Sawyer spit blood and wiped his mouth. "Big baby..." he said quietly as he walked outside. He was tired and aching, but didn't let it show. He sat outside the caves, not caring that he was getting soaked, and stared at the rainy sky. "Damn.....I did it again....." he whispered, feeling bad.

A few hours later Charile had fallen asleep. Jack came over to him once or twice to look at his wounds and to make sure he was okay. Charlie was dead asleep though and didn't move or make a sound except for an occasional moan. Jack finally went outside to find Sawyer and found him in the rain. Being soaked. He sighe dheavily and squated down next to him. "You need to come in." He shouted over the noise of the wind. "It's not safe out here."
