The sender looked over at one of the guards and slowly stood up, keeping eye contact with the guard as one brought their arms down to ones sides. One then looked over at Youkimi and nodded "I am sorry about your loss." the sender said as green eyes were moved to Youkimi "I wrote to the Lord Kaishin cryptically because I did not know if my letter would make it into Ethe let alone into the far lands that Kaishin is located. I dared not to entrust it to any that could read, it only takes one with the wisdom to know what power knowledge has to start tipping the scales in unforeseen directions." the sender said "I call after the Lord of Kaishin because your stance is not known. I do not have a troop of spies in my employ but what I know is enough. You care for the people of Ethe, they do not praise you as a queen, but they have a respect for you because despite your noble up bringing you have helped them when they had to leave... and if you are one to help them when they are at their worst, I would assume you would help them back onto their feet" the sender said to The Baroness.

The Sender would look at the guards one by one before looking back at Youkimi "That is all I know about you, that you care for your people." one managed to project "But Ethe is not all that is in the world, sooner or later the barrier that protects your people will fall, you must be prepared for what presses against your boarders. It is not Bellris that should be your primary concern, though they should stay on your forefront, it is the Empire that should be watched. Ever since the Emperor took the throne a rot has set in that has spread from the golden throne to all corners...even into Ethe" The green eyed one said, meeting Youkimi's eyes "Soon someone is going to sense that weakness and make a play for that power that is like a wind tunnel. That person will not be friendly to Ethe." The Green eyed one brought ones hands up again to head level "The line of Lionis has never subjugated any Kingdom, despite its faults it has kept peace between them, only when the Drosselmeyers came to power did rot set in. The Lord of Kaishin... which I know now is you, Lady of Kaishin, knows the plight of the people.... I would hear that plight." the woman's voice said "Your guards seem trained, I would like to make the request that they face you with their backs toward me. For my protection and their safety, if this conversation is to continue I think it would be best for my mask to be shed."

The hand of the sender came up to the shadow mask once the guards were facing away and she dissolved the mask, allowing the jackal to vanish and instead the pale heart shaped face and green eyes surrounded by chin length black hair to take its place "I at one point lived among the rats in the slums of Lionis and then I was forced to sleep in the trenches of an armed encampment." the woman said calmly "I slept in the dirt with the slaves and know the suffering they endure, and when the mountain of Ethe spat at its people I was among those that fled to Etherland, drank from rain puddles and tasted bile at each bite of stale rotting bread." Evelyn said to Youkimi "I know every story that their is to tell, from the words of starving mothers and dying children to the rich lather of Emperors and queens. I would hear every story you have to tell." the woman frowned "We have never met, obviously by this point in our talk, but if what you are doing is what you intend to continue to do, you are someone I would want to keep close."

The woman took a deep breath through her nose "You are one good soul surrounded by dozens that would take advantage of your radiance." the woman frowned "I would have you tell me what you think should be said. About those that decide the fate of this world... I would have you tell me if bothering with the pettiness within Bellris is really what you want to occupy your time with"

Evelyn smiled softly as she looked at the ground "I see..." she trailed off almost instantly as she tried to think, and once she had something to say she looked back up at the Baroness "I am sad to say that the people must suffer more before any peace can be obtained." Evelyn crossed her arms in a way that her hands were able to hold onto her elbows and she looked deeper into Bellris and inclined her head "I'm not sure if you have heard by now, but about one thousand Ethen born refugees that have made a life in Bellris have come forward to petition the council for rights to stay in Bellris. I already intend to do my best to make sure that they can stay and make themselves a new home, but..." she looked back toward the Baroness "If they find a home in Bellris, Ethe should not see them as Ethen anymore. The children born in Bellris will be loyal to Bellris, just as those born in Ethe will be loyal to Ethe. I will do my best to make the transition smoother"

She would look around for a moment, letting her thoughts marinate for a moment before finally speaking again "In truth, I have not been in Bellris long, I don't know what type of effect you've had. If you are on anyone's bad side it has not been voiced, but i wouldn't doubt it. The people of Bellris have always had a long feud with the people of Ethe. Before Ethe and Bellris were under the Empire they were always at eachothers throats, Ethe killing a queen or two and Bellris burning fields, two powers going head to head results in all the people standing by getting killed."

Evelyn listened to her speak about the emperor for a small about of time and Evelyn couldn't help but look down and let a frustrated breath of air through her nose "Bellris has tried a new idea that no one seems to like, Ethe is broken and battered trying to gain its footing agian, Phobos is known for its high crime, Zalto is known for its gold but when its walls are painted with gold what value is gold to them, and Lionis is a boiling cauldron of bones and pitch. The Emperor may be a well situated and powerful man but that power is slipping" Evelyn's eyes narrowed "Earlier this year he married his eldest daughter off to some noble in Phobos, and I think not to long ago his youngest became Queen of Zalto. He marries and Ethe woman.... that leaves Bellris to contend with. I doubt he's that smart but I bet he's trying to get his hands in every pot in order to attempt to bring everyone together by destroying any opposition in Bellris, if he goes to war everyone will be forced to participate... if they dont and he wins everyone will die. If they do and Bellris wins.... I think you can guess you can figure out whats going to happen."

Evelyn however looked calm "I want to minimize the blood shed that will flow in the coming years as much as possible, and that starts with Ethe, do you know why?" she asked her and turned her head up toward the sky, looking at the small piece of the red misty barrier that could be seen from so far away.

"If any nation marches in and takes the head of the Emperor it will be seen as a bid for power, say for example if Ethe just chooses randomly to go ahead and put Ophelia as the Empress of Epsilon; Bellris would march into Ethe as far as they could and en-site a massacure, Zalto as the most loyal to the Drosselmeyers would go and take Ophelia's head, and...personally I dont know what Phobos would do but if they act on any anger they have from two hundred years ago they will be going after Zalto. The Kingdom of Lionis will fall apart and no longer exist. Evelyn managed to get out

"If war breaks out... and at the rate its going it will be soon, Ethe should use its wall for as long as its up to bolster its defense. Play neutral and don't get involved, Ethe has so little people as it is and you're still recovering." Evelyn said calmly, her mind returning to when she had been in the Lionis army "Take no offense, if you can, to me saying that Ethe has always played second. Zalto is richer than Ethe despite both kingdoms having a base in mining, Phobos creates more weaponry and is stronger, and Bellris will always have more food no matter how much you grow...simply because they have the most land and know tricks that even the Empire doesn't know. But that can be used to the advantage." Evelyn looked back up at the small speck of the mist that kept Ethe isolated from the rest of Epsilon "when that wall goes down, Ethe shouldn't fight. Not because they can't, but because they can help restore order, by returning the Lionis line back to the throne." Evelyn said.

Evelyn nodded her head "The youngest daughter of Emperor Apollion Lionis managed to survive Empress Catherine's coup d'etat and subsequent assassination of imperial crown Prince Mikhail and Princess Rose." Evelyn said to Youkimi, just coming outright to say it "She's been hiding deep within Bellris ever since the fertility festival in Zalto nearly exposed her survival." Evelyn said bluntly to Youkimi

Evelyn leaned against one of the trees and sighs " She and several others managed to escape Lionis, and since then shes been living under an alias" Evelyn said and crossed her arms over her chest " If it wasn't for the generosity of the late King William of Ethe she and her son wouldn't have survived so long." she looked at Youkimi "She was raised for most of her childhood in the slums of Lionis before going joining the army, she was forced into slavery only to be freed and have to give up her life as an imperial princess when she had to flee her step mothers coup, only to once again find herself on the streets after Ethe was covered in ashes" Evelyn stared at Youkimi "On reputation alone she is a contender for the Emperor. She will make a lot of enemies out of nobility because she understands how the people are suffering." Evelyn paused "And she can no longer sit back and watch in safety while the people she was raised to protect suffer at the hands of an offshoot of her family line, and she will need people that see that the people are more than just chattel to be on her side."

Evelyn smiled at Youkimi "Because you are a woman of the people, even if you wont call yourself that." she said to her "A person of the people is far easier to trust then a person of the state, however both have benefits." she said to her "However more trust can be placed in you then in a person of the state because you care for your land and for your people and, correct me if i'm wrong, you're not one to pick sides at random, you are one to pick the side that will not just benefit yourself but also all those that are under your care." Evelyn said calmly before bringing a hand up and moving a lock of her dark hair behind her ear "I have always found that the people of Ethe are always the most true to their word. It seems to be a trait that all parents of Ethe pass onto the children they have."

She then pressed her lips together to suppress a chuckle "Remaining in hiding can only do so much. If the princess is ever found out she will probably be executed, Rumor will circulate no matter what." Evelyn shook her head slightly "Trust is placed in you not only because of what has been said, but because you are an unlikely ally. You have power and clout but no one will be looking for an ally in a nation that is suffering and isolating itself from the rest of the realm... any enemy will think that you have eyes and ears right next to your enemy, but when the enemy is someone that makes his moves out in the open, you dont need eyes and ears in the castle when someone makes their moves so brazenly"

Evelyn looked at the Baroness and managed a small smile "I go Lord Cyn Bronzewell of Bellris." she said simply "I'm stationed within the Shadow City, however Cyn would do just as well, the title and name of House Bronzewell belong to my Cousin Greviellia should she ever return to claim her birthright" she said to her. "I do hope we can become great allys Lady Kai, I can see whatever future we dream up coming to be something that would be quite difficult to unhinge" she said as she stuck her hand out for her to shake if she so pleased.

Evelyn smiled at Lady Kai, her hand felt soft compared to her own which had several rough spots from wielding a sword. It would be a lie if she said she wasn't envious of such hands. Instead Evelyn kept her smile and shook Youkimi's hand firmly before pulling away "I know it wont sit well with Ethe on any level, but if a conflict begins Ethe can't withstand it...and if I may be so bold as to say" Evelyn paused for a second "Rooting out an infestation is far easier and lest costly than continuously battling it away." she looked at Lady Kai "It the long run letting the winner believe you have submitted will make it far or shocking and instill more uncertainty when you show that you have the will to fight." Evelyn said to her and turned around, she seemed like she was about ready to leave but then she stopped.

"oh, a few more things Lady Kaishin." Evelyn stopped and turned back around to look at her "I have it on good authority that the Goddess of Darkness has exhumed herself. I know the Goddess Antari is not a major goddess in Ethe, but in the long run she is still the goddess of Darkness... and when fire flickers it casts shadows" Evelyn looked up at the barrier though the trees "A long time ago dark phoenix's and Light Phoenix were one, We share are common blood line, you could almost say we all come from Ethe. If people start to see this fact as common knowledge, we may find out how far back the "Blood of Ethe" counts" Evelyn said to her "Because if people that only have 1/16th of the blood of Ethe can get though your barrier, then the only ones that this barrier stops are Dragons." Evelyn trailed off before drawing her eyes back down to Lady Kai "Forgive my ramblings. I was given a very thorough education. Would you like a way to contact me?" she asked her.
