He made it in time to see his sister kiss the prince and hear her mention running away. He didn't wait to hear the princes response before he began to walk out. When he reached the two he stood a few back to provide space and cleared his throat. His arms crossed over his chest and scowl on his face. He was in full protective older brother mode. While he was happy to see her happy, the prospect of her running away was intolerable. "Athena. If you ran away it would start a war and you know it. Father and myself would scour the whole planet till you were found and returned and that would cause a lot of problems. Asking father for your hand would be more civilized, and stand a better chance of being peacefully resolved. If he is of sound mind I'm sure after listening to BOTH of your pleas and witnessing the love between you two may make him at least consider it. Add to it my appeal for it to happen, and I I will be married to one of the Emperor's children Not you. I won't allow it." His eyes had been on Roland for most of the speech and now they were back on Athena, "I suspect this is what you've been hiding?" Having seen the two now at least slightly apart he leaned over and pinched his sisters cheeks like a little kids. "Let's not keep secrets from one another ok? I'm your older brother, I'm protective yes. But I'm also rational with these things. I just simply cannot abandon Zalto and my family." Athena replied as he once again pulled her to himself. His kiss however caused her heart to race more than it had during their night at the inn and she couldn't help feel a promise being held within it as well. Of course she gladly returned it in kind as her arms carefully wrapped around his neck so that she could deepen it a bit more. The future was ever changing and she could only hope that her father would be glad to give her hand to Roland instead of the emperors eldest son, but if he would refuse the idea she wanted this moment to last as long as possible. It didn't matter any more if they were seen for she wanted the world to know that her heart belonged to him and him alone. She wanted everyone to know that she would never love another for as long as she lived and that no matter fates design she would forever remain Roland's beloved. Hearing her brothers voice however had her quickly pulling away from Roland with a squeak and blushing rather deeply. "Al-Aldon!" She chirped before having her cheek pinched and soon pouting. "I know! I know! Let go already." She stated before breathing a sigh. "Yes I was hiding this, among other things. Had you known before the war fully broken out, would you have been happy for me? No, you would have worried yourself sick trying to make sure that he didn't get killed and that would have in turn cause your demise. I'm no fool Aldon, you tend to have blinders on when it comes to protecting Kaidens happiness as well as mine." She said before glancing at Roland.

It was hot with passion and something lustful, but in a way a devoted man and woman should be. Her smooth arms knitting them together in this embrace was so very amazing but like all good things it could not last forever. Roland soon heard as voice clearing its throat and with it came the sight of the eldest prince of Zalto; Prince Aldon. Whith Athena taking the step back Roland could only turn and look straight at the interrupting brother. While he didn't much like having his time with Athena cut short he did respect the brother of the woman he loved and because of that he felt guilty for trying to steal Athena's heart secretly. Though the man mostly spoke to Athena, Roland knew Prince Aldon was speaking at him so that the Bellrissian prince would understand where order brother was coming from. Roland, both as a man and a brother himself, understood Aldon well but as Athena spoke up he felt like this commotion was due to his boldness. Curse him and his wickedly selfish ways. "Prince Aldon," Roland opened his mouth before bowing then straightening his back to speak to the tall man. "I am sorry for... going about our romance this way. It was not Athena who should be getting your scolding, it is I. I'm the one who ensnared her trusting heart and it is I who did not try convincing her to not run away. Please do understand though that I do not intend to make your sister any less that what she is now. Never in a thousand lifetimes would I think of making her an indecent woman...but I do want to know, did you mean what you said? My republic's loyalties are not to you and your father's kingdom, nor to the emperor. Would you truly vouch for mine and your sister's union?"

He sounded almost eager and excited over what her brother had said about the two of them at the very least speaking with father about allowing the match, giving his approval of it as well. In truth it sounded to her own ear that Aldon and Roland wanted nothing more than her to be happy in her choice of loved one, not to mention how much she already knew Roland wanted to have her by his side for eternity. Of course she soon decided to take a step closer to her beloved and slip her hand into his as a way of showing her brother she was seriously wanting to have their fathers blessing to marry her Bellrisian prince. It was also her own silent way of letting Roland know she was hopeful for their talk with her father.

Was this what had been worrying her so much lately? This secret must've been killing her to keep. He ran one of his hands across his face, relaxing his scowl. He was about to reply when the prince spoke up. He adjusted his gaze to stare down at the boy as he spoke. He nodded some of he blame did need to go on Roland's shoulders. He respected the boy for speaking up on his sisters behalf and for knowing how to word his plea correctly. His eyes showed honesty and thats all he could ask for. He let out another sigh as he watched Athena slip her hand back into his in a show of her wanting their union and her love for the man. Letting go of his chin he nodded as he made a gesture to his sister, "It's obvious she has made up her mind about you. While your republic's loyalties do not align with us, your heart lies with her. And I must trust my sister's judgement. It filled him with a hope that would show through in his eyes as he looks to her for a moment and smiles; his fingers calmly rubbing Athena's hand both gratefully and supportively. Prince Aldon obviously had things to weigh out in his mind. While he is the prince to take the throne after his own father, Prince Aldon still had to think of the consequences of such words and actions. He gestures to his sister and says what he dose, which brought a bright smile from the hopeful young man. "I will not forget that truth nor the kindness you have shown today Prince Aldon." With another bow the crimson eyes man thanked the tall prince and then turned to hold his beloved princess in a loving embrace. "Can you believe it Athena? We're one step closer to making out dream a reality. "

Of course once Aldon gestured towards her and spoke of respecting her judgement, she couldn't help smiling brightly. She wanted to hug her brother tightly and thank him for being so wonderful, but Roland had embraced her first and she couldn't help melting into his arms. "Yes we are, and just that one step closer has me on a cloud." She cooed before finally managing to reach for her dear brothers hand, hoping to at least hold it for the moment. "Thank you Aldon for being a marvellous elder brother and wanting to see me happy. I just hope that with your help, father will see things the same way and allow the match." She murmured, clearly hopeful for the chance to talk with their father, even if the outcome was uncertain for the time being.

The pale haired queen was practically looking around the entire castle for her children. No particular reason that she needed them at that moment, but she could use their assistance at this point, yet she couldn't even find a single one of them in their chambers, the halls, the study, the stalls! Before she was going to give up, a maid called out to inform her of their where abouts. Why didn't she look outside?! Shaking her head lightly to her own stupidity, she grabbed a hand full of her light blue dress and headed out to see them. "Aldon! I was looking for you everywhere and you're here!" she called out as she moved up to him, not realising he was with Athena and the charming young Prince Roland. She stomped up to her son, her cheeks flushed from all the running around and she almost seemed like an upset little child from the difference in their heights, although her expressions shifted quickly as she noticed Athena and Prince Roland. She straightened up a little and brushed any lose strands back in place. "Athena, why didn't you invite Prince Roland inside? I thought I taught you two better than to keep our guests outside.." she would state, crossing her arms across her chest as she looked over at them, clearly trying to contain a smile as she was already aware of her daughter's fondness towards the young prince and now she got to see his own affection towards her. How adorable!Oh how she missed her own youth! โโโโโโโโโโโโ โโโโโโโโโโโโ

She hadn't told any of her family about her relationship with Roland, though she knew her mother could tell how fond she was of Roland. When the gaze was finally to her and she was scolded, along with her brother, for not bringing their guest inside she puffed her cheeks. "I offered he come inside for a meal unless he wished to take a turn about the courtyard with me. Needless to say he chose taking a walk and was telling me of how his sister Hysteria was doing when Aldon arrived." She replied, clearly not telling her beloved mother the whole truth just yet.

It was The Queen of Zalto herself headed for them with her own beauty. She was actually rather...funny, for what he thought she was going to act like after seeing him standing there with her daughter's hand in his, after she would have given her older brother a hug, but that fact the queen said nothing to address it brought a small smile to his cheeks. He can now see how Athena learned to have such a loving heart with a family such as hers. "What your daughter is saying is true, Queen ัดaleska," Roland says with his now knowledgeable info of the other royals after maturing with the rule of the republic, "She was being courteous and invited me in but it's too good a day to spend a minute indoors." Bellris being known for its rainy wether. "But I can see where the puffy cheeked maiden gains her manners and beauty from. You know what they say about the apple and the tree in these kinds of things." A bow of respect to the queen of this land but as much respect as he had for her he could not bring himself to release Athena's hand from his loving hold. "Actually, it's a good thing you showed when you did...I wish to speak to you, and your husband, about a few important matters." He would have felt slightly nervous or at a disadvantage normally. He perhaps would have tried to have been shrewd when dealing with the high family of Llewellyn, but with Athena's love in his hands he felt a confidence wash over him like the sun's rays upon a lion whose gaze glow with inner power.

As Athena embraced the man he allowed himself a moments lapse in his composure to smile at his sister's happiness. When she reached out and grabbed his hand he squeezed it gently to show he truly supported her, even if he had to political about it. "I'll find some way to make him see it so Athena." Hearing his mother's voice shout his name his flinched, hunching his shoulders quickly before regaining composure. He turned slowly as his mother rounded up on him. Her cheeks were flushed and looked adorable Don't let that fool you. "Mother you should know on days like this I'd be outside. Is there something I can help you with? You know there are still much I have to think about and consider." He was serious he still needed to decide which daughter of the Emperor he was going to wed. As she scolded them for not inviting Roland inside he kept his mouth shut. As he was about to speak both Roland and Athena defended them saying she had invited him inside and he and declined. Roland still kept his hand in Athena's as he bowed but he soon addressed Aldon's mother about needing to speak to them. We have a lot of other important matters to discuss and I can't seem to find your father or any of you!" she would state to her son, pouting with her arms crossed across her chest as he made assumptions about her wanting to talk to them. How rude! The queen couldn't help but chuckle lightly upon the faction her daughter gave out. She could see how she took over her for quite some of her own mannerisms. As hilarious as it was, she couldn't help but shake her head lightly to her and parted her lips to speak yet she found herself looking over at the dark haired prince to listen to what he had to say. She couldn't help but chuckle from his statement, smiling and shook her head lightly. "Oh you little charmer, I do believe my darling Athena has learned a lot of things on her own as well.." she flashed her a slight smile. "Although, you could have spared me all the trouble of having to walk out here and meet you all the way out here.. Oh, the pesky maids will now gossip about Zalto's hospitality.." she would state, shaking her head with a little click to her tongue. Planning on resuming go instructing either of their children about the 'important' matters she wanted to address, she glanced back at the young prince as he decided to address his own matters. With the way he was holding her daughter's hand right now, she could only assume it was leading to something relating to the two. "Oh? Prince Roland Leoharz Bellris Prince Aldon was quite a forward man and Roland liked that about him. He didn't pussyfoot about things and he made his thoughts known. It wasn't like with most other high ranking officers or politicians and was rather refreshing. If he would hold Roland to his word then so be it. He was a knight after all and it was loyalty above all things. Queen ัดaleska's rapport with her son was a playful sight to behold. She showed a kindness genuine and true like her daughter and almost liked like a doll while doing so, but he'd never such a thing out loud. Though, Queen ัดaleska also showed an intelligence for descension. No, they wouldn't want the maids tongue wagging with gossip...and he should had been attentive enough to have been smart about that. "After you Queen ัดaleska." He'd gesture for her to take lead into her own castle, being sure to also wait for Prince Aldon first before moving as well with his hand still with Athena's. At the moment he felt as though a lone man entering a lion's den, the many eyes of servants and armed men aimed at the newcomer, but with the warmth of his Athena by his side he would not turn tail and run...not when they were so close to achieve their desire to be together.

Of course the comment about her getting some traits from her dear mother had her blushing a little. "The maids can easily be corrected though considering there was a choice given, and should they not believe it they can ask the guards that over heard me." She said chiming her two sense in about the whole gossiping maids issue before once again listening to things between her beloved and her mother. In truth she was very nervous about what both her parents would say on the matter of her wanting to be with Roland, but they were taking the steps required for such a decision and she would absolutely refuse to back down from it. Her heart was his and his alone.

Along the way her nausea had gotten significantly worse. It had taken longer for them to get here, because for some reason she needed to make frequent stops to use the restroom. Rascal got out first then she stepped down and looked around. The castle gates were beautiful in themselves. She and sent a letter earlier to Kaiden telling him of her possible arrival tonight. But she hadn't received reply before she started her journey. Azazel had made it clear she needed to be elsewhere tomorrow, for her own safety. Her thumb traced over the ring on her middle finger, its simplicity with the simple stone inlaid made it beautiful. The fact that it held his promise to find a way to marry her made it mean more to her. "My love I already miss you. Stay safe please. I will be with you soon enough." she whispered to herself before grabbing her bags. One with her herbs from Lionis and her poultices. The other her clothes and things for Rascal. She walked up the guards and stood prod. Keeping her head high, "I've come to visit Prince Kaiden Llewellyn. I am his friend. Please inform him that I have arrived."
