"It looks...cozy?" Amleth said, trying to come up with a word. She'd never really had a certain place to come back to at night, usually trying to stake out secluded spots near the waterhole. The idea of having a safe, dry place that she could be sure was hers was a very comforting one. She yawned again and flopped onto her backside, scratching an ear. She'd never had a friend before either, and it was all rather disconcerting for her, to be perfectly honest. She squirmed slightly as he licked her but didn't flinch away, as was her first instinct. "Heeeey what was that for?"

Duhushi smiled. "It's actually very warm in here at night as long as you stray away from it's tusks. That is were the cold seeps in during the night." Even he had been suprised when he licked her and it was hard to answer her. A small itch seemed very hard to scratch all of a sudden and he hesitated with his reponse. "I'm just not really used to affection. I hope I didn't offend you with it..."

"I'm sure it'll be a nice place to live," Amleth assured him, as if he was worried she didn't like it. "Better than anyplace else I've had to sleep." She stood up and paced around the edge of the skull, inspecting it with interest. She grinned back at the purple cub. "S'fine, just wasn't expecting it, is all." Amleth herself was unused to feeling comfortable around others, so she appreciated Duhushi's company greatly.

Duhushi let out a sigh of relief when she said that she liked it. "I'm glad that you like it..." His sentence broke off when he heard her speak. "Live?...Does that mean that you're gonna stay?" Everything about him was hopeful as she looked around the skull. "Please say that you're staying." Duhushi had never once pleaded with anyone. Amleth was changing him and he hoped that it was for the better.

Hearing the tone in Duhushi's voice, Amleth nodded. She didn't have a home other than the one he'd offered her, and this would provide all the things she had been struggling to get for herself.. protection, food, shelter.. and on top of it, she'd be able to be with her friend. She grinned and nodded again, with more certainty. "Well, sure.. I mean, obviously you want me to and all.." she teased, poking him lightly.

Duhushi nearly jumped in happiness. He had never felt such joy since he had his mother to himself for precious moments. "Yes. I do want you to stay Amleth. I don't care if you look like a hyena. You're my friend." Another shiver went through him as he licked her again.

Amleth laughed at Duhushi's obvious glee. It didn't seem very characteristic of the serious-looking purple cub. She stuck her tongue out at him again. "Well, I don't care if you're purple," came the response as she was licked again. "Plus, how else are we gonna run our club?" she bumped her head agaisnt his playfully.

Duhushi smiled and nuzzled her head. "Yeah. Then we would have to communicate and it would be kinda wierd if you left." He was so happy but his normal character was coming back and he smirked. "You shouldn't let your guard down Amleth." Duhushi laughed and bit down on her ear.

"Unless we were psychic..." The grey cub said thoughtfully. "Which.. I guess we're not." She grinned and snarled as Duhushi chewed her ear. "Hey! That's cheating!" Amleth rolled sideways, yanking her ear from his grip and lunging at him. "You're gonna get it now..."

"Oh yeah., Am I really gonna get it Amleth?" For the first time Duhushi had a genuine smile. Watching as Amleth lunged towards him he let her. He paws came in contact with his shoulders knocking and pinning him to the ground. "Is this what you wanted? To pin me down?" His long pink tongue emerged as he licked her nose playfully.

Dust rose as Amleth pinned the purple cub. She looked very smug and pleased with herself. "Yeah, you got it alright." She looked mock-offended as he licked her. "Hey, come on, it's not fair if you're gonna be all.. just sittin' there. You gotta fight back!" she urged, nipping at his ear. "otherwise it's boring.."

A sparkle came to the cubs eyes as she nibbled on his ear. "Well I guess since I've let you pin me...I can get my own." Duhushi grunted as he pushed her off him. Dust shrouded his paws and his tail caused dust to rise around him. "You and i shouldn't be pounceing on eachother my dear Amleth." I will have to save that for when my god arrives

Amleth skidded across the floor of the cave the skull provided as Duhushi freed himself. She shook her head to clear it of the dust, until she realized that it wasn't rising around her, but around Duhushi. Her ears tilted back as she watched him, a little unnerved by his sudden change in manner. "Huh..? What do you mean?" the hyena-ish cub tilted her head, confused.

Duhushi needed more on his side if he was ever going to accomplish his goal. "We don't know what will happen. We shouldn't be fighting." I know that I'll strong enough to protect her through it. He shook his head and walked over to her trying to nuzzle her down. "You need sleep Amleth. Travel is hard on the body."

Amleth looked a little bit resentful of being treated like she was fragile, but she just made a face and muttered something about "was just playin'" before allowing herself to be pushed lightly into a lying position by Duhushi. "Okay.." She curled up in a little hyena-cub-ball and let her tail drape over her nose. "But I'll see you tomorrw, right?" she inquired, trying to keep the anxiousness out of her voice.
