The streets were quiet this night save for the average sounds of the nightlife animals. It was around three in the morning and sitting atop a building was Maikeru Yami just watching as his village slept. As he sat there, he pondered his thoughts on the Corruption and how it would affect his home. His thoughts were jerked back into reality as he heard the sound of someone running through the streets not even trying to be subtle or sneaky. He would continue to watch and then notice someone chasing the person with a weapon drawn, knowing it was his duty, Maikeru, dropped down in between the pursuer and the pursuee. Not even drawing his weapon, he would look dead at the man who had been chasing the woman and decided to ask the man a question.
"Nice night for a stroll eh? So my good man why are we out chasing young women around and not in the fun way?" The man gave him a glare and did not speak but charged at the ninja. Sighing Maikeru looked the man dead in the eyes and activated his first Genjutsu, the Bringer of Darkness. The man's sense of Sight completely faded from his eyes and Maikeru just clicked his tongue, as he backed away from the man who had stopped dead in his tracks.
"Now that was quite rude sir. When asked a question it is polite to at least give an answer of some sorts. But no you decided to let your blade do the talking. This is why I am not a big fan of weapons for if one relies on Strength for everything, then what happens when the mind is attacked? How can you defend against that? I prefer to take a step back and allow for others to do the fighting while I attack their minds, and what better person to do the fighting then someone who can't have their own mind messed with?" At those words two coffins sprung out of the ground and opened up to reveal two ex Jounins of another village. The man still had a confused, yet frightened look on his face as he heard what Maikeru had said, but still could not see what he had done. With a snap of his fingers the two Jounin ran forward, grabbed the man, and knocked him out before taking him to one of the coffins and placing him inside along with each one returning to their respective holdings. The coffins would then disappear into the ground and with a slight smile, Maikeru returned to his rooftop post to enjoy the rest of his night.
