Alex had taken off into a sprint, feeling she was on the cusp of finding this elusive Pokemon. She passed a Minccino in her mad dash, it busy cleaning the tree it had claimed as its home.
[Main Area – Center Forest]

Coming to a halt, the girl stopped as she heard a rustling in the bushes. "Aha!" she shouted, parting the bush to find an Oddish. The poor thing looked terrified to see some human intruding in it's home like this. "Ohhh...Sorry about- Ahhh! Stun Spore!" Alex took off running again before the spore could reach her.

[Main Area – Center Forest]

After running so much, she slowed her pace down now to catch a breather. Apparently this attracted the attention of a Zigzagoon who decided to follow her for a bit. She didn't mind, it actually reminded her of her Lillipup. Eventually, the raccoon wandered off.

"I'm getting tired....and hungry" Alex whined, hanging her head as she walked. Porygon was glad she wasn't paying attention as they walked past another Croagunk.

As the two walked around the dead quiet forest both Pokemon and trainer were on alert. That said neither one saw what came next as a Misdreavus popped out of nowhere and attempted to scare them with a shriek. Chesnaught immediately reacted by snapping at the Ghost, literally Biting it, thrashing it around and flinging it to the side.

"...you afraid of ghosts?" Larrimore asked the Pokemon, who did not reply and just kept moving forward. Okay then.

Moving along neither one noticed the hidden Kecleon watching them. The reptile was looking to see if they had anything tasty on them but after what it saw that psycho Pokemon do to the Misdreavus it decided not to mess with them.

[Side Area B - Deep Forest]

Up ahead on their path the two took notice of what seemed to be a knight's helmet. Curious, Larrimore walked over to it and picked it up, just to see that some sort of creature had made a home inside of it, hissing at him. That was no knight's helmet, it was a Pokemon's shell. Setting the thing down the two proceeded to search for other Pokemon.

[Side Area B - Deep Forest]

"So hungry...and tired...and tired..." she groaned, just as he stomach growled. "And hungry. Uwaahhh!" Alex fell to her knees dramatically and proceeded to fall onto her face. Her Porygon who had taken the lead, stopped and turned around to see what the commotion was. It came do meet her at face level, to here her babbling to herself. "This is it. I'm not gonna make it. So long, cruel world. Porygon, I want you to live on without me. You're smart, you'll find a way" the girl told her Pokemon, petting it on the head. Porygon just stared at its trainer with the blankest expression, not sure what was wrong with her. As she laid there playing out her drama, footsteps could be heard approaching her slowly. The girl looked up to see it was another person in a suit of Pinsir armor. Wait, she knew this guy! She jumped to her feet, smiling at him. "Oh, hey! You're that Larrimore! How's it going, Larry?!" However, the man remained silent as he ceased advancing just two feet from her. It was an awkward silence until Alex decided to speak up again. "By the way, have you seen a blue squiggly Pokemon? I've been chasing it for a while now but I haven't..." she paused as she saw the man's head violently jerk about. "Are you...okay?" Larrimore(?) would nod in a way that his entire upper torso would follow the motion. "Hmmmm..... Okay! Come help me!" the young Snagem requested, grabbing the armored guy by the hand. Alex immediately tried to walk off dragging him along, but as she did, his hand felt...weird. That is to say when she looked, his hand was stretching off of his arm and it had the same consistency as jelly. Eyes wide, she watched as the rest of him shrink and jelly into a pool of pink goo. Releasing the rest of the goo, it joined the pile as it gained two dots for eyes and a frown. "Holy crap! Larry turned into a Ditto!...Wait, no it's the other way around...right?" she asked the goop as it tried to inch away. "Ah! Where ya goin'?" Porygon moved into position, cutting off Ditto's route. In response, Ditto quickly used Transform and became Porygon too!

"I can't believe there are Ditto out here! Porygon, let's catch it! Umm...which one are you? Bah, it doesn't matter! Psybeam!" The digital Pokemon fired a light blue beam with multiple pink rings in it at its opponent as instructed. But that didn't pan out so well when Ditto did the same move and they canceled each other out. "Oh, uh, Signal Beam then!" Porygon nodded, unleashing a pink ray with blue squares surrounding it, only for it to be replicated by Ditto again and countered. "Hey! Don't be such a Copycat!" she shouted at the Ditto, looking at her Porygon. Needless to say, this confused her Pokemon who was then stuck by a sudden Tackle attack. Alex was also becoming confused as she wasn't sure if that was her Porygon or not. How could she instruct her Pokemon if the opponent knew what they were going to do next? "Oh! Alright, I gotcha! Porygon, buzz! Buzz!" They were odd instructions for sure, but only her Virtual partner would understand. And so it did as it unleashed Shock Wave and electrocuted Ditto who tried to use a Psybeam. The trainer cheered, seeing her idea successful and then decided to try again by telling Porygon to 'take aim'. A red target reticle would appear from its blocky eye and make its way to the other "Porygon" who would now attack using Discharge. "That's nothing! Porygon, give it the big one!" Shaking off the stinging sensation of being electrocuted, it would indeed give Ditto 'the big one', a black ball of electricity known as Zap Cannon. This time, the mimic had figured out their game and was preparing a Zap Cannon as well; however, it lacked the accuracy that Lock-On provided. Being struck by the intense lightning, Ditto fell over and morphed back into a pink blob. "Now!" Alex shouted, throwing an Ultra Ball at the shapeshifter. Drawn within, she watched and waited for it to lock.
