The detective scoffed.
"No. Mercer found me mere moments after I appeared there. We chatted, then he got my a** out. I saw no other signs of life during that visit."
He glanced over, now noticing the... look on her face.
What was that look? Why was she looking at him like that?

"It's just ... empty?" The look disappeared, replaced with a sigh of disappointment. "If it's rainy and empty ... that sounds kind of nice. Quiet." Sans all of the killer werewolves and what not. She thought captain would've liked all the free space to run around in though.
"And the dream visits? Was Mercer there too?"

"Just because I did not run into anything, that does not mean it is that empty. I have heard of a few creatures that dwell there; I just had not met any of them. It is quiet, but that just invites complacency. That is not a place to be lowering one's guard."
At the next question, Shun shook his head.
"No. I just see snippets of various areas."

"That's ... ugh." June made a face and crossed her arms. "Next time you're there, pick some of them up." She nodded, unaware that it wouldn't matter. She just didn't like the idea of her office being a mess in any universe.
"Do you get powers while you're there? You got the-" She made a gesture in reference to his floating abilities, still not sure what to call them. "-levitation powers from there right? So do you get more when you go?"

Shun didn't say anything about picking up the mess there. He was reluctant to touch much of anything in that world right now.

"Yes and no. That was me training my current abilities. There are things that can be done in the other realm that cannot be done here. Not without a cost. That requires more instruction than dealing with spontaneously manifested abilities."

Shun raised his brow at her.
"There are denizens within Other Ashdown who would be able to assist, yes. I do not yet know how easy or hard it is to get them to actually give lessons or the like. I doubt it is anything like Hogwarts or whatever, though."
The interest she had in this was... odd.He couldn't quite put his finger on it.

"But I thought you said it was empty ..." she said, rubbing her head. "Ah well either way- hopefully you can find a good teacher. What would be better than a good cop? A superpowered cop."
She ran a hand through her hair to smooth it back over. "Do you think you could talk to them? You know, not any of the dangerous ones or anything, but some of the nicer looking ones?"

She must not really be listening to him. And Shun just decided to not acknowledge the whole superpowered cop thing.
"Maybe."
He made no mention of Heliodora in specific.
