In two weeks, I'll be leaving for vacation. This vacation will be to see my sisters and nieces in NC. I'll give the address of the house we are staying in as soon as I know it. We will be staying there for 2 months.

Can someone help me figure out how to get a PO box going? To my knowledge, I either don't have one or don't know what the number is. If it makes a difference, I live in an apartment

Okay! So I'm going to put this out there, please let me know if this is something keeping in the spirit of this thread, or if it's too different.
Has anyone ever made and traded ATC's? ATC's are Artist Trading Cards-little playing card sized pieces of art (2.5 X 3.5 inches).
I've been trading for about 6 years now-I swear it feels longer! I started on a stamping website, and then looked on here. I didn't find anyone trading on here, but someone from Gaia referred me to some facebook groups to trade. I have done much trading, in the US and other countries too.
There are many kinds of artsy! From hand drawn and painted to digitally created to collage. Mixed media is my favorite. I even received one crafted from glass! (trust me, that is not a common medium!)
Questions: -Would these be acceptable to send? -Would it be okay to set up a swap if enough peoples were interested?
I'm more than happy to answer questions, so if you have any please ask!
FYI-the post office sells international forever stamps. They're about $1.15 each right now, and will send anything from a postcard to a 1 oz letter anywhere. They're the equivalent of a forever stamp but for outside the US.

A PO box is something you set up directly with the post office-and you have to pay for. It's usually best to set one up at the post office that would deliver to your address. Question though. Is there a reason you do not have a mail box at your apartment or cannot receive mail there?

They're the equivalent of a forever stamp but for outside the US. I would LOVE to send ATC with you! I bought brown stock paper that was specifically meant to be used for ATC but I never got into it because the interest in my friends wasn't there. I haven't done anything traditional in a couple years, but would love to make something and send it your way!
LotusInChains Question though. Is there a reason you do not have a mail box at your apartment or cannot receive mail there? Thanks for the information, I did not realize you have to pay to set up a PO Box! But then again, I've never looked into it before.
I can actually receive mail/packages to my apartment (within reason, bigger packages I have to pick up from post office), but I don't feel comfortable giving my actual address to strangers on Gaia. No offense

Oh ha! That's really the most logical reason, I didn't even think of it! Lmao. I'm too used to sending stuff to strangers. You're right to be cautious. If it helps you feel more comfortable sending or receiving, you can check me out on facebook to see I'm a real person. Terribly boring but real. lol. And also, if you ever feel like joining an art swap group, I can refer you to the ones I'm active in. And thank you for the avi lurv! Its for the guilds July avi contest. I love challenges like that. xd

You can send whatever you'd like though. It's a good idea^^
