Username: Killer-wolf-kun
Name: Jemone Arcus
Nickname: The Arcane Bolt: Jem
Race: Aasimars
Ethnicity: Welsh
Gender: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Age: 22
Birthday: 1/2
Height: 5'8
Weapon: Adder [The Adder Gem Gauntlet]: A Leather Gauntlet Armament with an ancient Gem inside that gives the user great arcane abilities and slight Clairvoyance. The weapon was created by a great mage long ago, using the gem as a catalyst for energy projectiles, though now in Jem's possession, it acts as a means to use magic and has a few lines of fiber wire, leading to the sides of his goggles to use for visual enhancement.
Magic:
-Arcane Spirit: Using a bit of power from the Gem, he is able to leave a aura image [Doppelganger of what ever color the gem is]. It has no physical prowess, and disappates once attacked, though it can see and hear what's around it using the left side of his sensory abilities. Only one can be made at a time, and though it has different outlines, it sometimes can be used as a distraction. [C Rank] [2 Post Duration, 1 post Cool down]
-Arcane Bolt: Using the power of Arcias, Jem is able to blast bolts of arcane magic at his opponent, able to break clean through planks of wood, and scorch targets. Travels upto 20 meters and can be fired in rapid succession,[C ranked] [10 bolts before a 1 post reload]
-Adder Blue: The first form of the Gauntlet's bow, able to shoot even more powerful blue bolts, that can travel up to 400 meters per bolt that can damage trees/stone, and scorch targets. Though it takes a while to charge and aim this bolt. [C Rank] [One Bolt per Post]
-Arcane eye: Putting his goggles in and channeling some of the magical energy from the gauntlet into his eyes in order to allow him to see through obstacles such as Precipitation, Walls, and cloth, and zoom up to 300 meters. Though, he isn't able to walk while using this ability.[B rank] [Can hold for 2 posts at a time before taking a 1 post rest]
-Adder Yellow: The second stage of the bow, that allows him to shoot a powerful bolt that continues on a path until it disperses, not dispersing upon contact. It travels up to 100 meters and scorches [Not piercing] all that it passes through. Used to disable multiple people in a singular area. Or attack something uninterrupted. Using a tiring amount of power, he is able to change the intensity of the bolt at the cost of a few moments of a numbed arm. [One post] [B Rank] [One Post Charge, and Three post Cool down]
- Arcane Blink: Using the power of the Gauntlet, he is able to use quick bursts of speed to teleport three times per set at a max range of 20 meters per blink. With this technique, he leaves a blue trail behind him that shows the direction of his movement. [B rank] [3 post Cool down Per Set]
-Adder Red: The Current maximum of power of the Gauntlet. His gem glows red with an uncontrollable power it seems, allowing him one great, powerful bolt at the cost of the Gem's power for a few moments. After charging, he unleashes a ground warping, high speed, what he calls a Super Bolt. It is able to break through not only steal and Vast walls, as well as making a great shockwave upon impact that scales upto 10 meters from the point of impact. [A Rank] [2 Post Arcane Recharge/ 5 Post cool down]

Personality:
❖ Jem is a bit of a witty person, allowing his condescending attitude to delve him not just into tombs, but also trouble. The young man is fueled with many thoughts. Shiny rocks and money being a big bubble in his mind, though it's not all he lives for. He is, by heart, an explorer of ruins and raider of tombs. In his line of work, he runs into other 'Colleagues' that have grown, not so fond of the young man. Due to his constant jokes and nonchalant attitude towards the many achievements that each of his elders has gained. He is always more focused on the present and distant past than what had happened the day before. With this, he began making up sayings and jotting them down, incase he was chronicled as a hero, or historian. But in his day, fossils aren't always his motives for diving into danger, and though he doesn't have a horrid moral compass, thieving is not above him, but more on the same road, with a cold drink, talking of their plans.

History:
❖ The young boy, was birthed under a glowing aurora in a winter home. A Scholar and his wife doting over each other and the life they began. The young boy, named after a great muse from the mother's homeland, grew by the books of history while his father studied literature. The two were graced by knowledge through a royal gift. In his earlier years, Jemone was in a small village where the only real joy was reading and fishing. Though, under the tutorliage of his father until the age of 8, he was by far the second greatest mind in the area. He gained a habit. Through the many escapades his young friends had, boasting over the catch of the day, or the hunt they had ventured upon, Jemone took a vow of silence from his endevours. For each time he heard a story, another boy went to trump the achievement in the same area. By the age of 10, his father and mother were called back to the grand city in order to find a stone of magical power the lord of the land had been searching for.

Within a month, Jemone was in a new environment. He was in a place where he was no longer surrounded by knowledge and cold, but a hot crowded area, of what he believed to be idiots. His smile faded for the first year of entering the great city. He knew nothing great was within the walls, and his family began to slowly struggle as they searched. They received no funding, due to the lack of evidence and fruitlessness in searching. The family slowly began to drift. His mother spending nights out, his father behind a wall of papers stressing, and him, alone. Jemone found that poverty was not a life he enjoyed, and had no idea how to fix it, being only a lad in a world of men. Though, not long after his life had seemed to dive into the cesspool's grip, he found a small relief from the hunger he had to endure. His hand, by mere fault, fell into a woman's purse and exited with a ruby ring. The ring was worth enough to keep him eating for a whole month. With this discovery, the young mind began to mold into that of a ne'er do well. From the kind age of 10 to the age of 14, he was able to keep on a small scale thieving job chain, from the unsupecting rich. Though, on one attempt, in his 14th year, he was caught, taking money from a vender. The young man was put into the brig for a full 3 nights, to be bailed out by his father. In this, the scholar revoked the name 'Arcus' from him. He was disowned.

In the streets, for 3 months, he struggled. To survive, he did what he deemed needed. Even at a point, thinking of leaving the city. Though, after stumbling across a great ruin in his rounds around the walls, he had his childhood passion sparked. He seemingly swooped in and took the prizes the other's in the wall couldn't find. A suit of armor, that seemed to be a court mage's, a map of the whole continent, a map to several sister ruins, and a glove. No, it was a Gauntlet. In it, a gem sat, the gem his family had broken apart because of. As he slid this piece of material on, he felt a power he had not felt. A mystic voice calling to him, and after, the glove tightened to his hand. He was now the wielder of ancient power. It was one of the greatest moments he had experienced.

Not too long after gaining power, he moved on from the walls that had broken him. To a new life. He travelled what seemed to be the whole world, fighting off monsters, stealing the hearts and purse of many, discovering the secrets of ancients. His life was one he hoped to be written down in the history books, so someone could come to his tomb one day, and try to take his treasures.

Looks pretty good, but there are a couple things:
1. Your abilities need to be ranked. Did you need any suggestions with those? We'll be happy to help. I barely get it xD
2. Topography is more of a Strength rather than a natural ability...This section is for like...more supernatural abilities caused by race or possible magic interference from the past.

Those are the only two things we saw, so once those are all set, your profile should be perfect! : 3

Oh, yeah. I had been speaking with Rengato about whether there was a chart or something for the rankings. I can add rankings though, and if they're off, just let me know. I don't think any of Kade's stuff was terribly out of whack as far as meta goes. An author friend of mine coined it pretty well. Something along the lines of, 'A character with no character relies on magic they can't explain and weapons that can't exist.'

You see it a lot in Commerce, actually.

I can swap topography and figure out some small natural ability she might have. Night vision? like enhanced vision in the dark? I'll think about it.

Go for it! : D There isn't really a "chart" per-say, but it's based on combat effectiveness, actual usefulness, and difficulty to initiate.
I...I really like that phrase, actually xD Hahahaha but I can't help but to agree.
If you want another ability, feel free to make one, but it isn't "required," either, so it's all up to you^^

Haha. It's a good one, right?

Okay, I gave rankings to her abilities, and put Topography under strengths - but I also added a small +2 to speed related rolls when she's in the forest, given Elvish blood and all. Not a huge boost, but you never know when an added +2 might save your butt.

Anyway, when you get a chance, check it again and lemme know if the rankings are not right/whatever.

Looks alright, just a few things to mention:
1. You need an elemental affinity, if you need information before choosing one, please refer to The Lore and World Book.
2. Natural abilities are more meant for things of...supernatural means, and I have a hard time seeing how one could gain a true sixth sense just by being a, for lack of a better term, street rat. Personally, I think this and Adrenaline Rush should go to into strengths, the latter seeming more like a fighting style than a supernatural ability.

Sounds great, and I love the +2 too much to come up with anything against it xDD

It's no big deal~
I planned on putting up an FAQ in Ask the Crew anyway if something came up, and quite a few people have asked how rankings work, so that will be the first feature. : 3

Username: Rugxa_Simio
Name: Morgan MacDuff
Nickname: Morgan
Race: Human
Ethnicity: Gaelic
Gender: Male
Orientation: Straight
Affinity: Spirit
Alignment: Chaotic Good (Chaotic Neutral when drunk)
Occupation: Brewmaster
Age: 25
Birthday: 19 May
Height: 5' 7"

Relationships:
❖ Morgan has several siblings who he keeps regular contact with. His parents have both passed away, leaving him and his siblings the the family business. His brothers and sisters take care of the day-to-day of the brewery, while Morgan traipses about in search of new recipes and customers

Strengths:
✔ An amiable personality.
✔ Energetic and Ambitious.
✔ Can hold his liquor.
✔ Luck of the Irish (things just go his way)

Weaknesses:
✘ He's an alcoholic.
✘ Becomes lecherous and hot tempered when inebriated.
✘ Has no innate magical or martial prowess.

Likes:
✔ Alcohol
✔ Parties
✔ Women
✔ Your mom

Dislikes:
✘ Hangovers.
✘ Laws and regulations that are too restrictive towards personal freedoms.
✘ Men who are prettier than he is.
✘ Weak brews

Personality:
❖ Morgan is an easy going and friendly individual. He takes every opportunity possible to get to know everyone he can. He loves telling stories and regaling other people with tales of his adventures (whether they be accurate or not). He is always the first to break out into a traveling song, and usually the last to stop. At times his optimistic and forthcoming personality can grate on his more dour and serious companions, but it is always apparent that Morgan means well.
Morgan is especially friendly towards women, even more so towards the beautiful ones (which after a few brews is all of them). Morgan can be observed spending much of his free time trying to pick up one bar maiden or another.
While alcohol usually only exacerbates his energetic personality, there comes a point when his drunkenness overshadows his base personality. When in this state Morgan becomes hot-tempered and perceives every little thing as either an insult or threat. While normal Morgan is peaceable, three-sheets-to-the-wind Morgan will pick a fight at the drop of a hat.

History:
❖ Morgan grew up on the outskirts of Carmillion in a small farming community. He was the son of two of Carmillion's finest brewmasters, and spend much of his youth farming barley and learning his parent's craft. The MacDuffs ran one of the most successful breweries in the area. His family was well liked and respected in their community. His teen years and young adulthood were happy and uneventful until the passing of his parents in a freak thunderstorm. After his parent's passing the responsibility of running the brewery fell upon the shoulders of Morgan and his siblings. Morgan being the oldest was given control of business, however he never had much of a head for numbers so decided to abdicate his duties and relinquish them to his sister who now runs the day-to-day. Morgan now travels about the lands searching for new ingredients to create new flavors and brews, as well as advertise through word of mouth (and some free samples).
Preaching the word of MacDuff brews is only half the reason that Morgan travels the lands. Sometime not long before the death of his parents, they imparted upon him the knowledge of a special brewing technique. This secret and esoteric technique which was passed down in the MacDuff family since its discovery generations ago creates a unique type of alcohol. Morgan has become obsessed with the process of brewing this powerful concoction and is ever seeking new ingredients and new recipes.

Outfits:
❖ Civilian traveling garments. Simple, earthy tones with lots of pockets.
❖ He carries with him a travel bag with various items within.

Items:
❖ He possesses a custom collapsible station about the size of a modern grill. this traveling kiosk of his own design allows him to make brews on the go, wherever he goes.
❖ He carries beakers and bottles, as well as various plants he plans on incorporating into his alcohol. Also with him are basic living necessities such as a bedroll, mess-kit, water skin and spare clothing.
❖ Besides his portable brewing station his favorite possession is a flute that was given to him by his grandfather when he was very young. This flute of no particular monetary value is precious to Morgan for nostalgic reasons.

Other:
❖ Magichol Brewing: The secret MacDuff family brewing technique mentioned earlier allows Morgan to mix ingredients with a drop of his own blood and ferment them in a particular fashion to create liquid condensed magic. The actual brewing process is known only to his himself and his siblings, but involves extracting the naturally magic essence of the plants and herbs he uses as ingredients and fermenting them using a unique yeast. The addition of his own blood simply acts as a cohesive, binding the Magichol to only him, or someone who shares his blood. If anyone else attempts to drink the wondrous brew, they will only be rewarded with a serious case of food poisoning.
When imbibed, the Magichol immediately inebriates Morgan, but allows him to unwittingly cast certain spells as he drunkenly stumbles about. At present Morgan is only talented enough to brew Magichol of limited effect. His most powerful also happens to be his first love, Ale. Ale gives Morgan physical enhancement spells such as "Drunk Muscle" and "Beer Armor". Morgan can brew Magichol-Ale up to rank B.
His second most capable brew is Rum, whiskey, tequila or anything else that has a decent burn. Magichol-Rum allows Morgan to breathe fire in either a 15 foot gout, or in a classic detonating fireball. He can brew this up to rank C.
Morgan's newest (and quickly growing as his new favorite) brew is absinthe, a brew so potent that it causes hallucination. Unfortunately for everyone else the hallucinations caused by Magichol-Absinthe project themselves as illusions in the real world. Morgan can brew Magichol-Absinthe at rank D.
The strength of the spells cast are largely based on how long the Magichol was fermented. Rank D brews can be magically fermented in a few hours, while Rank C Magichol takes an entire day. The further ranks take progressively more and more time, with rank B taking an entire week to magically ferment, and rank A (which Morgan has yet to successfully brew) should take about a month.
Morgan only maintains the ability to cast spells for a very limited amount of time based on fermentation length. The buzz from a rank D spell can last for hours, rank C lasts for a good half hour, while rank B can only be maintained for 15 minutes.
Morgan is only capable of utilizing the effect of one Magichol at a time. In addition there is a cooldown period between when he can gain the benefit of another Magichol brew. Rank D Magichol has a short cooldown of about 15 minutes, rank C cools down for an hour, and rank B has a cooldown of 3 hours.
In addition, after coming down from a Magichol buzz Morgan is hit with a hangover that is proportional to the Magichol rank. Rank D is a slight headache, rank C makes his disorient (and a little grumpy), while rank B causes him to be nauseous and light/sound sensitive.

❖ Reactive Magic: Morgan doesn't exactly control which spells he casts while under the influence of Magichol. Much like a drunken fighter's body reacts to danger with unpredictable martial arts, Morgan's drunken self reacts with unpredictable spells. Although he is limited to what spells he can cast by the type and rank of Magichol he imbibed, he always seems to cast the right spell at the right time, without ever looking like he knows what he is doing.

❖ Drunken Dancing: When Morgan has a good Magichol buzz going on, he likes to break out in a strange jig from his hometown. Although he absolutely butchers the actual steps the the dance, his unpredictable footwork allows him to keep mobile and balanced amidst the chaos of a fight. Morgan always seems to luckily dodge attacks that would have surely struck true, and nimbly maneuver about a room cluttered with obstacles and people.
Very rarely (and completely by accident) the totality of Morgan's drunken movements complete a magical dance not unlike the rain dances of native tribes, or the prayer dances of ancient peoples. The effects of completing magic dance are unknown to Morgan, as he has only done this once in his lifetime and has no memory of doing so. Although he has no knowledge of this, his first magic dance created a powerful storm that wracked his hometown.
