A figure approached from the side quietly as Tri stared down at Ree then suddenly pulled him into an embrace with a slight twinge of pain in his face. He then pulled them both into the shadow and jumped to a point in the city, an alleyway as Tri looked tired and hurt, burn marks down his face and bleeding from his arm. He came to kneel from exhaustion. "We have to get back.."

Ree gasped in surpised, freezing for a moment only to return the hug tightly, careful of his wings after the jump. "Your back " he nuzzled his shoulder with a soft cry of relief before pulling back, his eyes wide with worry as he looked at Tri. At the burns and the bleeding then ,with a hint more maturity, around the alleyway and finally back.
"Let me heal that first.... " he moved to Tri, exhausted but reaching out to touch his arm as he knelt by him, trying to heal the bleeding. "I'm sorry, my powers, they went out of control and I don't know why. I just couldn't help, but...they're better now " his voice lowered to a whisper as if he was afraid of Tri's reaction... of making him disappointed. "Were you able find find them?" He muttered softly, assuming Tri left to follow them.

Tri frowned and let him heal him, changing the illusion to simulate healing as he sighed. "They got away." he replied simply. He looked to Ree, a flicker of anger but then looked away with a frown.
She was thinking. She could easily say something horrible about now. Tear their fragile little family apart, it sounded almost too good to pass up.
Tri suddenly turned and embraced Ree once more. "...." He collected shadows to his hand behind Ree's back into the form of a dagger as he readied to stab l through the back of the chest, aiming for his heart.
Hesitating for a few moments, he frowned, dispelling the dagger and braced his hand against the back of his head, just holding him for now. After a minute or two, he pulled away and walked toward the end of the alleyway, "Let's go." he spoke bluntly as he waited for Ree, hoping he would lead the way back to where they had been staying.

Wings drooped down to spill around him on the ground knowing Tri well enough to read the angry flicker before he looked away. Not underserved, maybe if they brought Hexxis it would have been better?
So when Tri turned back and gave him a hug, it was unexpected but wanted. Resting his chin on Tri's shoulder he returned the hug tightly as he closed his eyes, they rarely hugged before but now he was happy he did."Sorry" he whispered but sounded better as he felt Tri's hand at the back of his head.
There was relactuance in letting go when Tri pulled away but he did so, getting up with a slightly better air but still tired, worried and and basically down over what happened. "Okay..."straightening he lead the way, pulling the stone pendent out from under his clothing to play with nervously as he just walked, taking a moment to orient himself before leading the way to the hotel. If Tri wasn't looking out for their well being...or police he certainly wasn't.
Reaching the door he knocked and waited before phasing through and opening the door for Tri from the inside. "Hexxis? ....Hexxis? " he muttered looking around the room and headed toward the bathroom. "Ashral? "

Tri kept an eye out as the precarious white-haired meta led the way back to where they had been staying. He let Ree open the door for him and stepped inside. He watched carefully as Ree called for Hexxis, no girl in sight to answer that call. He then called for Ashral and he blinked with a slight bit of alarm but it quickly faded into a frown as Ree had moved to the bathroom. Being something an EE member would be accustomed to, Tri noticed the note on the desk and moved to pick it up and read it. "..she...ran away?..." a look of surprise and sadness on his face as he looked to Ree with concern.

Ree blinked and looked back at her, a cascade of emotions warred with what he said as his personality tried to reassert itself over the child-like one. "Ran ..away?" he moved to Tri and looked over his shoulder to read it.Relief, anger, jealousy, confusion until he just ruffled his feathers and pulled away.
"Stupid... just because she didn't want to go without the collar. " he looked up at Tri angry, waiting for him to say something in retort or what the next step would be. Confusion warred with alarm and a hint of fear as he shook his head and rested his hand on his forehead before looking up, this time worried and watching him in expectation of what the next step would be,

Tri looked deeply pained as he stared down at the paper, not even acknowledging the other Meta's reaction. Not only was that girl on the transfer list to Haven, but they were interested in the girl's malice. He looked at Ree with a melancholy face. "This is probably horrible timing... but this is really ******** up... They'll do worse than kill her if they find that girl...." Tri closed his eyes and sighed, wings drooping as shadows surfaced over his body and faded away, releasing the form.
Cordelia stood there with a despaired expression and tears in her eyes. "...where do you think she would go?..." she spoke softly with genuine regret in her voice as she frowned at him. She lowered her gaze away, not exactly knowing how to convey the emotions she felt, but not that it mattered. She knew every emotion he felt at that moment. "... I know it sounds crazy.. but I want to help you find her... She could get really hurt..."

Ree stared at her and backed up, wings shivering in distress. "You're not Tri..where is Tri?" he stopped near one of the tables and put it between them. "Where is Tri?!" he sounded almost close to crying.

Cordelia's face shifted into one of pain as tears billowed up in her eyes, watching Ree as a past memory flickered by and quickly faded. She frowned and took a step back and then calmly kneeled down and sat on the floor, looking up at him with a frown. "...I don't know. He used a shadow jump and left.... I..... He went north of where that house was..." she whimpered slightly, "I'm sorry.." she offered weakly as tears lined the markings on her face down her cheeks. "....I can help you find him... Please don't be sad... I'm sure he's actually okay..."

"Really?" Ree watched her warily as he slowly unfurled his wings while leaning over to watch her. Finally he pulled away from the table and moved closer a a few steps or so before kneeling down hesitantly. " You can?....help find both Tri and Hexxis?" he wanted Tri here and Mara and Hexxis/Ashral even if Hexxis was a pumpkin head and ran off. Tri and Mara would know what to do.. and then they can stop having to hide... and she can help him find them. "Um...who are you?" he tried to smile but it didn't have much force behind it.

Cordelia's face softened slightly as he seemed more inclined to approach her. "Yeah.. I'll help.. I at least know which direction Tri went, and I can tell when he uses shadows or shadow jumps if he's in range of me... As for.. Hexxis?... I've only seen her once. I don't know where she is or where she would have gone... That's why I asked if you knew. If she has shadow abilities, I would be able to find her a lot easier, other than that, I can just be an extra pair of eyes to look out for her or shadow jump us some ways to look in other places quickly." she explained to him, trying to sound more optimistic, though her face was still stained with tears that slowly continued. She wiped her face and forced a smile. "My name is Cordelia...... Cordelia Tenebris."

His top wings extended until it covered him almost like a mantle, just taking comfort in it as he nodded slowly then shook his head. "Hexxis can't shadow...and Tri knew. Tri called us to tell us to be careful of Haven and the mercenary. That they wanted Hexxis and Ash " he nodded.
"Soul separation? .... She shouldn't have gone. She should have stayed ..she and Tri didn't want her to take off the collar, then she got angry and went into the bathroom so we left because Kae might have died. Then Kae got away.....Cordelia? " there was a hint of a smile in the worry that faded quickly as he got up and grabbed a box of tissue and moved to offer it to her. "Tri called you screaming bansheee"

She tried to follow his train of thought, it was a bit all over the place but it wasn't hard to put two and two together. She frowned as he explained that Hexxis couldn't use shadows. "Haven... is a really bad place... The mercenary... I don't know much about him, never seen him before." she retorted, sniffling a bit as she talked.
"I guess that's one thing they could do to her. That's a new things to me... I just know they do really horrible experiments on Metas and they have no sympathy or mercy about any of it." a twinge of pain in her chest, barely felt but enough to catch her attention. The girl had a collar, which was odd she didn't want it off, those things only made you weaker, so why leave it on? He mentioned Kae and she furrowed her eyebrows, "Zaku would have never let that happen.... Besides, Haven did way worse to her... Damn near took her whole arm off..." she sighed with distress trying not to think too hard on it. "That place is scary..." She looked up at him again as he handed her some tissues, "...thank you..." she then wiped her face of the tears. As he confessed the name that Tri called her she snorted a bit through her sad expression. "....I've called him worse things... Though, my dad used to call me a loud-mouth, so I guess he's not too far off..." she forced out a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood a bit. "You're Ree, right? Tri's son..." she paused. "..i'm sorry, I should have stopped him... "

There was a flicker of confusion as he raised his hand to his head... again something else he wanted to say but that was mean and not very nice. "Yes..I'm Ree..." he muttered and nodded, realizing he never said his name. "Ree Luz. humans are scary ..they did many of the same things to non-humans.." he trailed off and shook his head, wanting to say more but something in his head kept going nonono.Why was she crying? Did she also have someone in Haven? Was that why she wanted to help? But she was EE... "What do we do now? " he stared at her expectantly.

She smiled a bit, "I... I guess it is nice to meet you.., Ree." Cordelia sat there in thought, suddenly frowning once more. What next. "Do you want to find Tri or Hexxis first? I guess that would be the first place to start. If we look for tri, I guess we would go north... Figure out where he went... Unless you think he will just come back here. We could always wait, that's an option too." she paused, grabbing at one of her pigtails and running her fingers through it idly. "Then there's Hexxis... We could look for her... If you had any idea where she and uhm... Ashral?...went.." she offered slowly.Taking a deep breath and looking at Ree with a melancholy expression of concern.
