This was not okay.
Austri wasn't okay with being some hemoanon wannabe. She wasn't okay with an implied against the crown position. She didn't want to be a stalker, and, and-- She knew that no matter how much she whined about it to herself, it wouldn't change her damn card. She was stuck being dumb hemoanon.
She would milk the personality for all it was worth, though.
Adjusting her glasses and the very warm clothes she wore, Austri geared up. She burst into the area with flair, extremely long sleeves moving with every movement she made. Aus-- Uh, Deefau was extreme, which meant dramatic, right? Right??? Maybe. It was her first time FLARPing, so she really didn't know. She needed to find some Phowne and stalk them or something?? Alright, fine, but she'd look awesome doing it.

"Ah..." Reemus startled a little, not expecting someone to address him already. He cleared his throat. Tried to stand up straight. Puff out his chest, even. It's what Toothy would do. And...the bloke he was playing. Maybe? Right? He was a hunter, like Mum, and Mum was a proud sort.
Man, he wished he could've brought her with."The weather? Ah! Well." He put his hands on his hips and looked around. "I've hunted lusii down in worse than this! The weather can go bonkers and it won't bother me none! Ha ha ha ha! Um." Reemus squinted at his card. "Have you seen any purpleblooded chefs around? I need to find my..." he squinted more, "buns." He had no idea what that meant, but sure.thyPOPE He just wants to gtfo honestly haha :')

Ninfia smiled at the redblood girl approached them. How lucky of them to get paired with another lowblood! Looks like we are indeed!"they said with a wide smile. "I'm certainly ready to...fight in the name of the queen!" they exclaimed dramatically, striking a pose with their cardboard cutout sickles. "It's such a lovely day to be stuck with my most favorite blueblood!" they puffed out their chest slightly, trying hard to be serious and not giggle their whole way through this.

Voscil was ecstatic, or rather that was a generous understatement. This year she'd elected to signup for the Flarp league, and with a stroke of good fortune the now purpleblood dressed psionic couldn't help but wear a smile on her face. "My, my...Good evening everyone." She spoke up, to no one in particular that would mind the troll Gahree a passing conversation. smiled politely from behind her painted face. A coy demeanor had replaced her usual jovial smile, adopting the role of a proper purpleblood as she lifted her chin with a cool smile. She hadn't gone flarping in a while, and the fact she'd landed herself such a esteemed heroic-like figure in this purpleblood only sweetened the deal. For what it was worth, she couldn't wait to get the games underway and see what came of it. Smoothing her robes, she entered the scene with what she believed to be a bit of social flare. For what it worth, donning the facepaint of a proper juggalo had been thrilling in of itself. Never mind being apart of her favorite gaming event.

" Ti do re...do? You're a stronger man than I," Allcap shrugged. Wow, this guy was really in-character. Personally Alifax was a much bigger fan of pumping as many bonuses into his characters' stats as possible, but to each their own. (Well, to be fair - none of these players had the choice of using any other characters. But he could at least have put in as little effort as Alifax. " My...sweet...," Alifax paused, looked briefly and deeply disturbed, and continued. " ...gams weren't bred for the cold. So do so do." He gestured listlessly at his feet. (Alifax was not making any effort at all to sing - the notes might as well have been nonsense, from his mouth.) " As for purplebloods...," His voice trailed off. He indicated "Sparky", Frossa, and...uh. Spade troll, from the masquerade? No, she was an actual purpleblood. " That troll's wearing a purple hat." Wait. Was that Kursha? " I think I might recognize them. Fa mi fa so la." He headed off without waiting for a reply. He actually had been headed in Kursha's direction, and then he'd seen Lorata looking rather unattended, and decided to veer off in her direction instead. Maybe when the current phase of the game was over, she'd want to read again? Or something? It wasn't every night that you could insult a highblood to their face. " Re fa fa. Hello, stranger," he told her, not sure whether she'd even recognize him in this getup.

Psykgi Mentha / ”Booyew Hooree”A glance at a commotion - was that... Vidari? Well, a festival was as good as any place to take slow, merciless, competent revenge. Right now, she would do so by being completely in character. And... Ahhh, there was Eridia, in full maid costume. If she hadn't seen Eridia put it on, and if she didn't see the faint purple of her blush where the red scarf failed to cover, then she wouldn't have thought her anything but a redblood. She made a good redblood. That was a disturbing thought. Ah, yes, but in character. "Haha! Well, we're taking a break from all that, aren't we Glenny?" Psy.... Boo... said loudly. In character it was. Or was she? Booyew was probably flashy and bombastic if they had their own TV show, and it wasn't a stretch for Psy to act like that. And confident. She could do that too. She just got to do it as a blueblood now... Which meant a little extra of everything. She put her hand companionably on her 'moirail's ' shoulder (not nearly as hard as she would have done on her own actual Moirail's shoulder of course), "Who's stuck? I'm right were I want to be! Hanging out with you!" She stretched, thatrically, as if a camera tracked her every move, as if the limelight followed her, and posed just a little arrogantly. And then she had to stifle the laughter that nearly doubled her over. "This is going to be really fun!" she whispered to the girl.

Reemus-Toothy-Mochaw frowned. "Can't get any decent bloody help around here," he mumbled, but loud enough to be heard. Acting and such. However, Allcap did point out some other trolls, including a face he could recognize out of character. He went out of his way to pass by Voscil as he continued his search. "You're lookin' lovely," he whispered in passing, only for her to hear, meanwhile putting his hand on her shoulder. a gesture that looked more like he was just trying to get by. "Scuse me, I gotta find me matesprit." he added after, much louder, in-character. "Don't mind me, your grandness!" Had to respect the highbloods, right? Then, trying not to look like he was getting out-of-character, not too far away he started to call out, "Hambur! Where are ya, love?" Obviously, he was not expecting the match-up to be with a child.

Caiden didn't mind that the little kid in front of him scored higher, i mean he was a little kid. Caiden eagerly looked at the prizes, admiring the cheap plastic pearls and cardboard sword. The brownblood finally settled on a "magic wand" and waved it around excitedly.

Allcap raised his eyebrows at the lack of response. "Uh, ordina - um, I mean. So mi mi, do - "
His reply was cut short by a loud shriek, cutting through the air. The snow seemed to grow, impossibly, thicker, and the wind swirled heavily around their faces. For a few brief seconds, none of the players - or the observers - could see anything going on in the game. Snow skidded up from the ground in a harsh white arc, and something dark whooshed its way past each of the players. Was that - ?
It was a strange form with the bright red eyes of the blind and a gaping misshapen maw, which was certainly larger than its hands with their crooked black claws. Its hue and shape both seemed to shift, as though it was fading in and out of existence, or perhaps just very indecisive. It was almost certainly not a troll - although it didn't quite look like a daywalker, either.
In a few moments it sunk into the ground.
In the ensuing commotion, it took a few minutes to notice the body laying on the ground. Luscious hair tumbled over black-clad shoulders, and red blood pooled out from the thick chest. If a roll call didn't identify the victim, it was clear from the ruby-red cap laying a scant few feet from the corpse: Allcap Hotbun had...fallen asleep?
No. It was clear to anyone with a brain that this was not the answer. Allcap's dulcet tone had been a vital part of every significant romantic courtship of the decade. And yet they'd been the target of much jealousy. For their magazine-perfect looks, yes, but also for their powerful voice, both literal and figurative. Someone...was out for blood.

post by mea A small figure draped in elegant, tyrian purple robes was collapsed a few feet from the graceful corpse of Allcap, clutching her face as she sobbed uncontrollably. " ALLCAP! H-how could this happen?!" Frossa reached from inside her sleeve to retrieve a small bottle, dabbing fake pink tears into the corners of her eyes. She turned back to the players, and inhaled." NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" Adjusting her fake fins, The Queen of Alternia (HAH- plot twist- the Queen was never some random) fell silent with a sniffle, gazing at the players with eyes rimming with what seemed to be genuine grief. " H-how? This is Iridescity! This is... t-this is..." She hiccuped, rising to her feet. The glorious Queen George's expression melted from one of pumpbiscuitbreak to icy cold rage. " Someone here is responsible for the death of my moirail! Someone here needs to pay! NOW!!!" Uh oh. It looked like there had been a murder on their hands, apparently committed by a strange, rainbowed spectre. Anyone who'd spent any amount of time studying Iridescity's urban legends knew better, though. The Ghost of Iridescity had been a famed mercenary in their past life, and they were well known for being willing to commit any atrocity, for someone who paid the price enumerated in the famed Grimoire. The problem was, they were a vengeful sort of spectre: once they had gotten started, they couldn't be stopped until their master was dead, just like they were. As if to make matters worse, the increased snow didn't show any sign of letting up. Anyone who tried to make a call out to the rest of the planet discovered that their phones, or their scrying pools, weren't working. They were, for better or worse, trapped. With someone who had it out bad for them. It looked like the only way out really was to follow the Queen's directive: identify the murderer among them and make sure that they were dead before anything else untoward happened. Quote: The game has begun! Feel free to discuss, on Gaia or Skype, anything that's going on! Check the rules on the front page for a list of exactly what communications are permitted - you're allowed to discuss OOC, as long as you perform the vote IC, with at least a few sentences of your character actually voting. If you have a special role, please let Mea or Pope know your target before midnight EST tomorrow. Tickets for Day 3 will be rolled shortly, but in the meantime, please have fun! And one more thing? Good luck ;D

“Gahree” looked curiously at the yellowblood as he mumbled. "Hm..Go right ahead.” She waved, shooing him along about his business. Although Voscil didn’t need to listen to closely as he moved about. Given his approximate size and shape, and the manner which he was dressed Vos was pretty darn sure this guy had to be Reemus. Even if that was out of game knowledge it was nice to see him here. He’d really come out of his shell for Bloodfest from the looks of things. Just as the other pushed past her, she heard his whispered compliment. While an avid fan of flarping, the moment was not lost on her between them. Suddenly Vos was thankful for the paint now for an entirely different reason. "Ha! Think so? Thanks..hey.You look handsome.” Vos muttered quietly in passing. Shaking her head at him in wonder as he moved away, shouting off for another troll. Recalling the info card on her persona Voscil looked around her, deciding it was a good time to try and mingle a bit. A catty coy smile pulled at her character's lips. “Oh Mayree dear…wherever did you get off too, hmm?” She spoke in a manner as if the troll expected someone to be right at her side. The redblood was the subjuggulators maid, and as such the highblood expected their servant to make themselves useful. However, a surprised gasp followed from the troll. Snapping open her fan, she covered her surprised expression as the events unfolded not long after her calling for her favorite pain in her side. Before the troll was a fallen redblood from the looks of it. How dreadful! What a terrible waste of a perfectly good lowblood. Shaking their heads with a form of solemn sympathy the purpleblood pursed her lips. They seemed to be trapped, as no form of communication seemed to be working. Reminded of the zombie invasion, the troll could only hope this didn’t spell more visits from terrifying haunting visions of spectral nightmares! The very notion gave them the chills. MAYREE looked to the side when she heard her name and slowly reverenced when she saw who it was. So this was the troll playing Gahree? By the looks of it, they were enjoying their FLARP persona. No matter, at least she was going to enjoy getting back at her. "Master..." She said bitterly yet with a hint of sophistication. "My apologies, I was looking around… Got distracted… Though be honest Gahree, do you really need me at all times? I do need some time for myself." She rose up before the other troll gave her the permission, but if they were in some kind of feud, then this could be valid. "Now that we’re together… Are you in need of anything--" The suddenly something strange happened, and a troll lay "dead" on the snow. She wasn't feeling sympathetic, nor she was making a fuss about it. Though she was dying to know, who had done it, what had done it, who was responsible for hiring such a thing and who would get killed by the same thing they hired. “Are you alright Master Gahree? That thing passed by us quickly.”When the Queen cried for her "dead" morail, Eridia stepped back a bit feeling a bit overwhelmed-- This FLARP thing was overwhelming. She wasn't surprised Frossa played queen, she would've done the same. When Gahree spoke about them and their usefulness if they were still alive, May frowned slightly. Really, could this troll own more servants? "I assure you, master that you are not in need of more maids. You have plenty of hands working for you, including myself or is it that you are not pleased with my services?" Mayree muttered loud of her employer to hear and fixed her scarf to reveal a small coy smirk and shook her head. This was just like the time of the catastrophe, less of a bloodshed really but it remained her of that moment. “You should be alert, you wouldn't want end up like this dead troll. Any suspicions your mirthfulness?”

It was an awkwardly long moment before Lorata even realized she was being spoken to. Wearing an eyepatch took some getting used to, after all, and Allcap had come over from somewhere in her newly blind side. It was only as she turned to get a better look at something else entirely that she realized he was standing there, staring down at her. She blinked, stared back, and realized suddenly that this was Alifax staring down at her and also that she hadn't quite figured out how Ariana would greet him.
Maybe just a normal, cheerful hello? Something confidently cutesy! She opened her mouth and then- And then there was a shriek and her attention was taken entirely by the horrible ghost monster that swept through the game. When it disappeared and the snow settled, the redblood she'd been about to so cheerfully greet lay dead on the ground. She lifted her hands to cover her mouth as she stared in horror and startled again because oh, right, the hook.
"A-Alifax?" But oh, there was his friend, umm Frossa right? She was dressed up like a queen, sobbing over the body and- Ahh, just part of the game, of course! She relaxed. And then decided she'd better figure out how she was playing her character for sure, now that things were getting into full swing! Okay, okay, confident cutesy pirate queen hero. Go!
"Well! Don't worry, Queenie," She cooed sympathetically, then turned to stare down the others again (and oh, there was that one she was looking for, though they kind of...looked like Austri?). "It shouldn't be hard at all to narrow it down, should it?"
