Lt. Prasiolite

She cleared the darts like a champion, even pulled ahead of some of the other something she wasn't at all expecting. Unfortunately she hadn't bothered to slow down heading into the next trap. She ended up tripping and falling almost as soon as came to the first pillar. She picked herself up, trying not to be overly embarrassed, it couldn't be helped, she was vain as ever and that was an ugly tumble. She decided it would be best if she took this challenge at not so fast a pace and watch the other's in front of her, while trying to navigate and not fall to far behind. Hopefully the decision to slow down a bit wouldn't be a bad one.

General Schörl

The attempted defense was imperfect, a dart finding it's way to muscle through spat and hose. The accompanying dizziness, vertigo, a poison or drug, was actually somewhat pleasant. The General spent often enough training both drugged and sober.

It meant she was less tense and annoyed, anyway.

Schörl sprung forward to the next obstacle with more elastic a smile and more efficiently than the previous challenges. At least until the sounds of calamity behind and Quartz's glitter was again missing. And Ceraskia was moving with extra momentum than her powerlevel suggested should be possible. Looking hard at the gloom showed pieces of All-One through the dust where Quartz was probably floundering.

Mediocre.

He was too sober for this.

Sailor Dia

As Grendel's words hissed into her ear, Dia was mindful enough to freeze as soon as the next challenge was upon them. They had both successfully managed to evade the wayward darts, though it was apparent that others had not been quite as fortunate. Serandite was already leagues ahead, Alkaid was in front as well, but beginning to trail behind others that Dia did not know.

Turning around, locks of hair swept the Labyrinth floor. Fingers nimbly began to pluck darts from out of her long locks, ever thankful that they had managed to hit her pounds of pink instead of her. It was bad enough that her arm still ached, the bandage still tightly wound around her forearm. This made her think of the others - where had Tourmaline gone, with little Lace in tow? And Victoria - she hadn't seen the redhead since they'd entered the Labyrinth.

Hands cupped over her mouth as she hollered out, "KittyKat! Vic! We're over here!"

There wasn't much time to regroup, not when the race was still on. Hopefully the others were already ahead or soon to catch up. Another agent ran by and instilled a sense of urgency back into the senshi - she needed to go.

The pillars ahead were ominous, especially as one or two teetered when a Lieutenant or General dashed by. She was far more mindful of how she weaved her way in between them - she didn't want another thing smacking her, after all!

Grunkle Cat

It seemed as though Dia was going to heed his words for now, and the cat was grateful. Unfortunately, being so high up meant that he nearly got scraped off by a pillar when she ducked around it, and he was forced to leap from his perch. Being much smaller and nimble on his own four feet meant there was much less of a chance he'd smack into a pillar...

...or get crushed.

Corrupted Ceraskia

This particular trap, somehow more than the others, seemed daunting. Maybe it was closed in placement of the pillars, or maybe it was the ominous way they teetered and shifted with only the slightest brush. Ceraskia moved swiftly, but cautiously, weaving through the tall stacks of stone, hot on Quartz's sparkling tail.

She saw it when he wavered, winced as he hit one of the unstable pillars beside them, and gave a startled yelp when he grabbed hold of her and threw her forward, out of harms way. Why!? he didn't even like her. And there would have been the perfect opportunity to be rid of her.

Or maybe that wasn't his aim. Maybe it was disdain, annoyance, and not outright dislike.

Regardless, she passed through inscathed, and once again slowed at the end, watching over her shoulder until she saw him emerge, then off again at a run.

Captain Amethyst

So far so good.

Truth be told, Amethyst wasn't expecting himself to be trailing this closely behind the lead the way he was right now. With the long hours that he had to put into his vocation, he hardly had time to fit in his Negaverse duties, much lest eat, sleep and finding time for a jog round the neighbourhood compared to his DCU days. He was aiming to give this his all, pacing himself while making sure that he and everyone in his immediate vicinity made it through and back without incurring any grievous injury.

Watching the others speed off ahead of him through the hallway that was made up of many precariously stacked pillars that looked as if they might topple and crush any unfortunate soul any time now, he looked around for a bit, trying to discern for himself the shortest and safest route that would take him to his destination before diving right in.

General Osumilite

Jesus Christ. What was this? A mission of CrossFit? General Osumilite started to feel himself slow down as he swerved between the pillars. It was times like this that he really started to feel his age. Man, he knew he should quit smoking, but most physical activity didn't wear him down. Then again, playing basketball with his bros and working out at the gym wasn't quite the same as leaping over murder pits and dodging mother ******** death traps.

"There better be a nice shiny reward for this s**t," Osumilite grumbled as he made his way through the pillars. Hopefully an adrenaline boost would come with whatever hell of a challenge was thrown at them next. But whatever would it be? Fire breathing three headed dog? Running from Nazi zombies? The Water Temple of Ocarina of Time?

Corrupt Sailor Kitalpha

Kitalpha's life kind of sucked right now. That incident with the balls (no, no more balls jokes, she was going to swear off those for at least a little bit) had really left her hurting, and then that nonsense with the darts... blech. This being-a-badass stuff was harder than she thought. But then again, these traps were clearly made to test for the top-tier badasses, so if she survived, she'd earn some badass credit!

She wasn't even going to think about the alternative. She was going to make it out of here, dammit! Probably not without some serious lumps though. She'd have to explain some nice new scars to her mom, if her mom noticed or gave a damn. Oh well. Scars were sexy, right?

The pillars were dangerous, but nearly everyone made it out without incident! There were a few unfortunate souls, however, who were not so lucky. It might have been their fault, or the fault of someone else who was reckless—but Quartz, Prasiolite and Kitalpha found themselves the prime targets of this trap.

The stacked rocks wavered and tumbled, and while they might have been able to dodge the majority of them, they could not dodge the strange buckets that had been stacked at the very top. A bucket of bright, neon paint splattered over each of them. It was not painful—sticky, perhaps, and obnoxious, but they had survived.

They just had to catch up.

Alkaid was in the lead and making Metallia proud; Amethyst behind her deserved praise for how effortlessly he had cleared the pillars; he followed a bit behind the corrupted senshi. Grendel was a prime specimen of Mauvian and properly represented his species, and trailed just behind them.

They were the first to see the strange symbol marked on the wall: Apatite, no doubt, had spray painted a portrait of her face on the far wall. She was not an artist by any means, but she did well enough to depict her image, tongue sticking out. Her handprint, in neon pink, was slammed next to the portrait.

There was a low pulse of Chaotic energy; it flushed through the group as they all continued through the labyrinth. As they ran deeper through the maze, it was clear that whatever they had been sent here to obtain was powerful—and they were getting closer.

There was an array of twists and turns before the next obstacle:

A long, dark passageway. The light was unnaturally dim here and it was hard to tell what the obstacle was. There was a stretch of murky black water that rippled strangely, like something might have been moving beneath it. It was too far to jump, and if anyone attempted to teleport they would find their ability to do so strangely shut off. Along the walls were strange crevices—enough to dig your fingers and toes into, maybe, if you didn't want to brave the water, but that will no doubt take longer to cross.

The chaotic energy is bubbling, filling everyone with adrenaline; the effects of the darts have all worn out, leaving everyone clear of mind and fully prepared to handle this task!

You have two options!

If you choose to pass by climbing along the walls, generate a random number between 1 and 15 to see how quickly your character moves! If you make a mistake, please don't delete the post! Any deleted posts will result in the player being disqualified from the game.

If you choose to pass by swimming through the water, generate a random number between 1 and 30 to see how well your character weaves through the pillars! If you choose this path, rolls under 10 will suffer IC consequences! If you make a mistake, please don't delete the post! Any deleted posts will result in the player being disqualified from the game.

All characters who have been posted for growth of the next stage may receive the following boosts to their roll (this means, you do not have to have the art to receive the boost but you must have posted for growth and be able to link to the post to gain the boost!) :

Second Stage (Captain, Super, or Mauvian Human stage) get a +3 to each roll
Third Stage: (General, Eternal, or Mauvian Senshi) get a +5 to each roll
Fourth stage: (General Sovereign) get a +8 to each roll

THERE ARE NO PENALTIES TO DICE ROLLS; if your character was poisoned by darts, they are no longer affected by the side effects! If your character is covered in paint, this does not affect their rolls. If you did not roll low enough to be splattered by paint but want to have your character hit with stray paint, you may play as such!

Please include the boost in bolded red font at the bottom of each roll or it may not be tallied in! If you have posted for growth but do not have art yet, please just link to your post in the growth thread also! Remember to include your character's name at the top of each post! Please also remember to fill out your posts; don't leave place holders! Your posts do not have to be elaborate or long, but they should be related to the character's action in some way!

If your character did not join this ORP at the end of the last post you can still join this ORP, however if you come in late and miss a roll, you will not be able to make it up! (You can no longer for the first roll; if you are just now getting into the ORP you will only be able to respond to the most recent prompt! There will always be at least 24 hours between rolls. If you have any questions, please PM the shop mule!

Corrupted Ceraskia

It was fortunate that, upon seeing the water, the dancer didn't notice the odd rippling that broke the otherwise smooth surface. If she had, there might have been some hint of hesitation from the girl as she reached the waters edge. Instead, Ceraskia didn't so much as slow. She dove right in.

It was cold, but not unexpected, and the chilly temperature only served to propel her along all the faster.

All in all she was only in the water for a couple of moments. The opposite side of the water trap crept up quickly, and when her hand hit stone she hurriedly pulled herself free, taking a handful of seconds to wring the water from her long hair. It was then she looked for Quartz and their mistress, anxiously scanning the passageway for any sign of either of them.

"You have got to be kidding me," General Osumilite deadpanned. He was just dreading the idea that the next challenge would be a water challenge, and sure enough, ******** murky water with some creature in it. He could climb the wall, he supposed, but to him that seemed even more risky - a fall could seriously hurt him. Swimming? He knew he could do that, at least. Sea monsters be damned.

He took off his jacket and dropped it to the floor and kicked off his shoes - he knew he couldn't strip down too much out of his uniform, but he couldn't be weighted down by heavy formalwear, either. He took a deep breath in and jumped into the waters and swam - quickly, but cautiously to avoid whatever that was moving in the waters.

General Schörl

Faced next with a choice of climbing along possibly unsturdy, trapped walls, or actually swimming in any dark substance in the Negaverse? Schörl shook her head at this point. Ceraskia had already dove in and was cutting the water like a swan. Dark waters scream tentacles. Or any number of unfortunate fates. I suppose the best protection to offer is follow her up, and be better bait. That's easy in this much cloth.

I wonder if water and tentacles would be enough to get the paint off of Laz.

The green General dove in, and set to crossing while Barbary made bubbly complaints on the water surface.
