Lieutenant ReineriteReinerite looked up with a small but grateful smile at the sound of the feminine voice "Thank you" she said simply as she looked up, recognising the dark-haired woman (Angelite) as the older Lieutenant that had been by the red-haired man (Obsidian) that Aurostibite had been talking to earlier.
She bent her attention back to the stone, doing her best to make it shift, however given that this was perhaps the most physical thing that she had done ever - it was perhaps safe to say that physical labour was not her strong point even with the aid of the enhanced strength that came with being a Lieutenant of the Negaverse.
It didn't stop her from putting all her effort into it however because she had never believed in doing things by halves and eventually she was rewarded by the shifting of the rock...
However her sense of personal victory was short lived as it had also had the secondary effect dislodging a second rock, which she had noticed at the last second and thus hadn't fully been able to avoid it.
She bit her lip in an attempt to try and stifle the automatic yelp of pain, hand reaching to try and grab another rock, however at that moment a set of rocks suddenly shifted and rolled although the efforts of the dark-haired woman next to her prevented any of the rocks from falling onto her.
"Thank you again" her words were as quiet as before as she did her part to try and continue to try and open a way forward, a part of her feeling envious at the way that the red-haired man had managed to lift a large rock and make it look like it was nothing.
One day she wanted to have that sort of strength. No one day she was going to have that strength, although right now was not that day.
Reinerite continued to try and shift rocks doing her best to be more careful because her earlier attempts at caution had obviously not been good enough.
She was relieved when eventually her efforts - well in truth everyone's efforts - were enough to open up a way forward into the room beyond, her grey eyes widening as she took in the sheer number of crystals protruding from the cave wall.
At least these crystals looked like better candidates than the one that she had seen earlier on - even if Reinerite didn't have the foggiest idea which of them was the one that the Shadow Lady - Metalia - actually wanted.
She walked towards the wall, grey eyes studying the crystals in an attempt to try and pick out a likely candidate - noticing Hydra nearby looking like she was attempting to do the same - eventually however Reinerite settled on one and (on summoning her weapon) used the snow globe to tap on the crystal for long enough to try and loosen it before moving to try and physically yank it out.[Dice roll 1 = 3] [Dice roll 2 = 95]

Lieutenant AngeliteHer eyes widened and her breath choked in her throat as she watched several rocks tumble from the pile and begin rolling their way towards some of the others. Grown adults making these sorts of decisions had much less of an impact on her than the fact that some of these agents were children who were tugging and pulling at boulders, not adults who were capable of holding themselves responsible for injury. Seeing children in particular getting hurt was a soft spot for the older woman, forcing her to exert more energy to keep the boulders from toppling on top of the blue haired girl beside her and the young looking senshi (Makemake) close-by, who had kept to herself during the group's descent. Sore arms dutifully climbed up and over the rocks, the Lieutenant making her way into the room filled with crystals. It seemed as if the others were having an easy time picking a crystal (or were making it look as though they were putting thought into it, save for maybe Obsidian). Her Negaverse experience was dangerously close to zilch in comparison to the others and she was no geologist either, so there was no rhyme or reason for the crystal she finally chose. Crouching down, gloved hands gingerly dug around the stone, loosening the hold before finally pulling it free of the ground. Roll: 77 (no bonus)

General Aurostibite
Reinerite, much to Aurostibite’s satisfaction, had remained relatively levelheaded, and it pleased him. This was not a situation she had ever been in, and it was somewhat like being thrown into a den of wolves with not nearly as much guidance as was warranted. Still, for recruits that had not yet had the experience that he had had, Aurostibite was quite glad to see them all acting responsibly, doing things without needing to be directly guided to do so.
Unless your name was Kainite, that was.
“You’re doing well,” said Aurostibite to Reinerite and Bloodstone both; to the latter, he canted his head, giving a firm nod of agreement. Doing anything to shake the possible foundation of the cave itself could result in a devastating collapse, with all of them trapped beneath, and that was the last thing that any of them wanted.
“We’ll have to be careful,” he said, in a low voice. “Try to keep an eye out for anything that looks unsteady.”
The glow of the crystals, however, drew his attention away from everything else. Aurostibite’s eyes swept over the walls, the size of them, the shapes of them, and he felt a rush of awe cascade through him. For a moment, he seemed utterly transfixed by them - but a second later, he shook his head and took a breath.
Hydra and Reinerite had already done extraordinarily well in their attempts at securing crystals of their own. Aurostibite passed gloved fingers over one in particular, then grasped hard, pulling to try and loosen it from the wall without dislodging too much of the rock foundation that surrounded it.

Lieutenant Domeykite Domeykite caught his partner's eyes and shook his head at the proposed bright side. "This isn't where I want to choke it, Alum," he mumbled after the man as he slipped through the opening, ducking his head as he followed closely behind. It took an extra moment for the tall, willowy man to pull both legs clear of the gap but when he finally turned to look at what they were dealing with, he drew in a deep breath. "Fuuuck," he groaned softly, stepping forward and running his eyes over the seemingly endless supply of crystals. How were they supposed to choose just one? Which was the right one? Curious, Domeykite cast his eyes around at the more experienced members of the expedition but unfortunately, no one seemed to have the answer. "Yeah, I guess." Defeated, he ran his fingers along the wall until he like the feel of one. First Roll: 5 Second Roll: 27 (No boost)

Makemake - Corrupt Senshi
Although on one level Makemake was greatful for the care shown by Angelite, the senshi was a prideful little thing. She could toooootes take care of herself. Not really but...the pride of youth and general brattiness was strong in this one.
Luckily, it seemed they had made a whole big enough to climb through. For someone as small as her, it was a breeze!
Once through the whole, Makemake spun around, eyes wide. So many glowing crystals! But which one was the one they were after? It had to be here - the feeling of chaos and power was so strong... But they were looking for a needle in a haystack here.
Makemake bit her lip, and looked at them all carefully before leaping up and grabbing one that was just out of her normal reach.

Half Youma General Cinnabar
The rocks shifted under their determined efforts. Not easily, but eventually they cleared enough space to pass. Despite Cin's careful watch, there was not much more than a few rocks displaced and not much damage done.
Past the rock fall, the chamber inside was crowded with crystals climbing the walls of every shape and color. Cin couldn't help staring at the sight, taken for a moment by the light and the colors. Finally, she blinked and shook it off, finding others moving forward to begin pulling crystals out of the collection.
How are we supposed to know which one is the right one? There are hundreds here... and the power signature is too faint. I guess, when you have it in hand you might be able to tell. Nothing for it then but to start... grabbing things.
Cin sighed softly and closed her eyes, stretching her senses wide for any hint of which one was the right one. When she opened them again, she began to move forward, passing her hand over the air above until something tickled at her senses and she reached to pull one of the crystals from the growths.

Lieutenant Paracelsian
So many beautiful, glimmering crystals, and yet only one held the secret to whatever Metallia wanted. Paracelsian wasn't exactly feeling confident in his ability to pull out the right one; certainly, the more experienced agents had stronger energy senses and would be able to detect "the one" more strongly. Nonetheless, that wasn't going to stop the Lieutenant from trying. Everyone had to do their part. Sucking in a breath, he grabbed one crystal and steeled himself in place for a mighty pull. This probably won't be the one, and I don't think we have time for process of elimination, he thought to himself as he tried to unplug the crystal from the cave wall.

Fangite Fangite's lip twitched behind his mask. He was probably a little too happy to irritate the other Captain. But as far as Fangite was concerned, the little s**t deserved it, and much more. However, he was distracted from Sanidine when Haymitch spoke.
He glanced at his youma, who had stopped walking to look back at him. Though, before he could speak up, Airi beat him to it. "Sorry Haymitch, but I am Fangite's youma. I can't just leave him right now. We've kinda been through a bit."
Fangite gave the wolf a soft pat, before carefully reaching past Evan to scratch at the kitten. "Sorry. Maybe next time though." With that, he turned his attention to the crystals, where he grabbed the one and pulled. Roll: 80 +3 = 83

Iolite "But why?" Iolite looked at the kitten awkwardly. "...You do realize I am not, in fact your mother don't you?" She looked towards Evan for some form of help, but was surprised to find him distracted by the crystals and the wolf. It had not passed the cat's attention that the wolf's movements slow, as if not to scare Evan.
"Haymitch!" She scolded. "You can't just ask that. Besides, this youma seems to be a little busy with a current task." She jumped from the back of the youma and darted over to the crystals, picking at a small one.Roll: 89 (Wtf cat)

Captain Cavansite
Cavansite had been pretty silent as they made their way into the cave. Though, she had caught site of Sanidine and his little pet youma, and that had brought a sneer to her face momentarily, it wasn’t really worth dwelling on. And when they had come face to face with the large pile of rocks that needed to be shifted…she was going to help, but everyone else seemed so willing to go and do the job of shifting the rock…she would help later. When it counted more. For now, however she gazed around and looked at all of the crystals in the room. It was beautiful, that was for sure. For a moment she was even less apprehensive about the whole place collapsing around them.
It was all so lovely, shining and shimmering and…
And even though they were looking for a specific crystal, that didn’t mean that she couldn’t have one for herself, right? It would look so nice on her outfit, along with all of her other trinkets and baubles that she had amassed. There were a few broken shards of crystal on the ground, as though a piece of larger crystal had come out of the wall on its own and shattered, and with a small glance to either side, the Captain scooped these up, shoving them quickly into her little pocket of wonderful subspace, and finally she set to her task, looking over the wall as though she was in a jewelry store, picking out her engagement ring.
There.
That was the one she wanted. With a grin, Cavansite began to wiggle it from the wall, just as so many others were doing.

Sanidine begrudgingly began to pull at crystals; he was more interested in the instability of the cave than he was trying to find something. He figured he could teleport out at the first sign of something going wrong, but he had to make sure Evan got out, too.
He cast a glance at the youma who had accompanied him and couldn’t help but be a bit jealous that Evan was more focused on Airi. He figured it was dual fascination and horror; Evan didn't like any other youma and wound up terrified of them, and yet here he'd been scooped on top of one and was clinging to him for dear life.
The light of the crystals reflected in Evan's large eyes and he seemed too distracted to remember to be afraid of Airi (who, it seemed, he was actually growing a little fond of). Instead, Evan had hunched lower, curling his fingers in Airi's fur; he almost looked like he was laying on the larger youma as he watched raptly.
Sanidine scoffed and wore the faintest smile before he shook his head and went back to pulling crystals.
Thankfully, Cavansite was far out of sight--and out of mind.

For whatever reason, it didn't seem like there was any design to the crystals being pulled; they were in so many different shapes and colors that it seemed wholly unnatural—like something here was causing them to grow against all odds. Like something was making these crystals grow. As soon as Hydra began pulling out her crystal, a jolt of power rushed through her; she was onto something. As the other agents pulled, the other crystals began to pop out of the wall, some larger or smaller, weaker or stronger, but this one stuck. Hydra would have had to tug and pull; the crystal was solidly stuck—but after one great tug, it came loose—and it was beautiful. It lit up the whole cave with its light, and it seemed to sparkle like starlight. But there was no time to admire it; the hunt for the crystal left the wall with many pockets and holes, and the weight over the cave was immense already. A strange crumbling sound echoed all around them—and a few smaller rocks fell from the ceiling. Some larger ones rolled from the walls. The ground trembled. The Negaverse had claimed the crystal, but if they weren't quick, the cave was going to claim their lives. The magical energy in the cave disrupted their teleportation abilities—but there was still time to run. Hopefully very, very fast. Quote: The cave seems like its about to come down on top of your heads, and you can't teleport out! Thankfully, you have the added boost of speed and strength. As you are running out of the cave, you will need to generate a random number between 1 and 10 to determine your luck with falling rocks! Please don't delete any posts!
All characters who have been posted for growth of the next stage may receive the following boosts to their roll (this means, you do not have to have the art to receive the boost but you must have posted for growth and be able to link to the post to gain the boost!) :
Second Stage (Captain, Super, or Mauvian Human stage) get a +3 to each roll Third Stage: (General, Eternal, or Mauvian Senshi) get a +5 to each roll Fourth stage: (General Sovereign) get a +8 to each roll
Please include the boost in bolded red font at the bottom of each roll or it may not be tallied in! If you have posted for growth but do not have art yet, please just link to your post in the growth thread also! Remember to include your character's name at the top of each post! Please also remember to fill out your posts; don't leave place holders! Your posts do not have to be elaborate or long, but they should be related to the character's action in some way! While only Hydra has Metallia's crystal, the rest of the agents are now in possession of one of the other strange crystals, if they so choose! If you missed the roll or generated between 1-49, you have a small, slightly powerful crystal. If you generated between 50-79 you have a medium sized, more powerful crystal. If you generated between 80-100, you have a powerful crystal! These crystals can be whatever shape or color you like, and while you can't see a use for it now, you may find it has some purpose in the future. Or not! It might just be a pretty trinket! All you know is, you have it in your hand, so you might as well keep it—right? If your character did not join this ORP at the end of the last post you can still join this ORP, however if you come in late and miss a roll, you will not be able to make it up! (You can no longer for the first roll; if you are just now getting into the ORP you will only be able to respond to the most recent prompt! There will always be at least 24 hours between rolls. If you have any questions, please PM the shop mule!

Corrupt Sailor Hydra
A strange surge of power jolted through her when she continued to tug on her chosen crystal. There was a part of her that wanted to back away but a stronger part encouraged her forward and finally it came friend and -
It was stunning, literally took her breath away and she pulled it close to her chest, wondering if she could tuck it into the same space pocket her senshi pen resided. There wasn't time to test because the cave was crumbling around them and, in a panicked rush, she scurried over to Aurostibite.
"Come on, I- I've got it. Let's go," she pleaded, tugging on his sleeve before she took off towards the entrance and started running hoping that her general was right along side her.
She knew that she wasn't the fastest or strongest but she had Metallia's crystal and she'd be damned if she let it go. So, she was trusting that her general had her back.
He promised after all.
