Aranea groaned as she sat up, her dress tearing more. She tasted copper; she had bitten the skin of her lip during her change. The flow was minimal and she licked her lips, getting to her knees. She tore at the dress, letting it fall in strips about her, discovering that not only had she grown, but some magic had spun a new outfit..if one could call the fine material that covered her chest and the area between her legs that. She touched the shaped clasp, smiling at the new strenght in her limbs. She flicked her wings a little, and looked about her; 'Feles!' she exclaimed, hurrying to his side. Had the light from her change hurt his eyes? She felt her heart ache at the thought that she might have caused him pain. She had yet to notice Lupinus, so intent was she on checking on Feles.

The cat let out a shriek at the sudden touch, eyes flicking blindly towards Aranea as he tried to take a swipe with his claws. The aftereffects of the light were still making him nearly blind, and he could barely tell WHERE he was, let alone who was suddenly next to him.
Then he heard her voice and relaxed a minute amount, leaning against the wall. "Give me a moment," he said softly, nearly wincing with how loud his voice sounded to his heightened senses. "I can't see yet."

Luckily she had moved back slightly, avoiding his needle-like points; she wasnt about to need stitches again! 'I'm so sorry, I couldnt warn you about the light from my change, I didnt realise it was coming.' she rambled on, a hand touching a strand of his long hair. She was aware that she sounded very weak right now - but she cared for him.

Feles shook his head, murmuring faintly. "Wasn't yours... I waited to come closer until the light had gone. It was his..." He pointed towards the direction he assumed Lupinus was in.

'Oh,' she said, feeling a tad better. That was odd though; both of them changing within moments of each other. She would go see him a minute or two. She took one of Feles' hands and squeezed it. 'Can you see yet? I want you to tell me how I look,' she said, smiling a little.

"Getting there..." he whispered, blinking a few times to try and clear his vision. There was still a parade of sparkling dots that clouded his sight, but it was at least getting a bit better. "Just give me a moment and I should be fine." Feles reached out, resting his hand on Aranea's arm, praying that he WOULD be able to see her soon.
Then that nagging doubt came into the back of his mind. If she was an adult now... and Lupinus was an adult now... why would she want HIM around? He was still an awkward teen.

Aranea knelt down in front of him, resting two hands on her bare thighs. She would have to get used to this new lack of covering thing. Well she hoped she still looked good! She could go and get a mirror, but she was worried about Feles's vision. She reached out and brushed a strand of hair from his cheek; 'Its okay. Just take your time.' she looked over her shoulder, wondering a moment if someone was watching. Had she been seeing things due to her change or was there a child around here? Well that mystery would also have to wait. She turned back towards Feles.

Lupinus couldn't help laughing at Pteryx's confusion. Well, she would learn for herself soon enough, but he hadn't thought to explain it to her. He'd forgotten how confusing seeing or experiencing growings were when one was a child. "It's just how we grow up," he said. "It's how you'll grow up. And it just happens when it happens." And usually at the most inconvenient time possible, he added silently.
He stepped away from the wall, no longer needing to lean on it, and glanced over to see Aranea rushing toward Feles. The hall had turned into a kind of chaos almost. He watched Aranea and Feles with interest. He'd not really seen them interacting since they had captured Muris. He thought that Aranea liked to be in control, and he thought that it made sense for her to have "taken charge" of Feles. He would have to speak to her later to make sure she was all right, but for now she seemed occupied.
He turned back to Pteryx, his eyes gradually getting used to seeing things from yet another sudden height change. He finally thought to say, "I'm sorry about your eyes; there wasn't much warning."

Pteryx crossed her arms. It wasn't funny, why was he laughing? "I don't think we used to grow like that, did we?" She paused, ear flickering a little in teh direction of the others. It sounded almost like the other male was blind? Or almost blind? Was that because of the light? "Lupinus, who is that?"
She stood up from where she had been sitting, careful to not look directly at anyone. "They just hurt. I can still see..." Pteryx was watching Lupinus's movements, and the other two curiously. Standing there beside the wall, she let her hearing guide her on what was happening.

Lupinus shrugged, still half-smiling. "It feels like we always have, whether it's true or not." It hadn't gotten any easier this time, but at least he had known what was happening, unlike the last time... he'd been so confused at first. This time, after the pain had gone away, he felt more sure of himself somehow.
The prisoner all but forgotten for the moment, he looked once more at the cay Fey. "That's Feles. He an Aranea are... close." Exactly how close, he didn't quite know, but he thought that they must not know how easy it was for an observer to tell how they felt. "I'm glad your eyes are all right. We really do need to find you a way to protect them, and soon it seems."

Whining softly, Feles wound his arms around Aranea's waist and rested his head against her lap, eyes closing once more. He'd gotten a bit of a glance at her after growing, and as he nuzzled against her, he whispered. "You look beautiful... I know that much." His tail curled around himself lightly, the nerves fading, at least for the moment. Lupinus may be adult... but Aranea was here with him instead.

The sensation of him resting in her lap was heightened by her new state of dress, and she felt odd at doing this in front of others. His words charmed her as they always did, and she ran her fingers through his hair; 'Thank you Feles,' she whispered, speaking his name as if it were something precious to her. 'Are your eyes okay?' she asked, she truly wanted to know, but it was a mask for what she really wanted to say.

"Getting better," he whispered, staying curled against her. The brilliant flashes of light against his eyelids were fading finally, and after blinking a few times, he was able to make out things here and there. "How are the others?" he asked, looking towards where he'd seen Lupinus and the other girl.

'Okay I guess,' she glanced over, leaning a little back to see Lupinus, and the small child. 'I was too busy worrying about you,' she said under her breath, knowing that his sharp hearing would catch her words. One hand rested on his back, stroking his hair still. She knew she had a task waiting, a prisoner to torture but somehow that all slipped away with Feles here like this.

"Oh, okay. You don't remember either, do you?" Pteryx asked, but her face smiled a tiny bit. Rubbing her now sore temples, Pteryx glanced backwards over at the other two. "They look close too. ...ew."
She looked away, wrinkling her nose at the sight. They'd probably even kissed... and that was something that Pteryx intended to never do! Ever! It was all just some sort of sickness, she was sure, passed on by kissing and spreading of germs.
"How do you think I could do that? I only can hide from light I know is going to happen."
