Kage slammed through the doorway. He was worried, he had gone as fast as possible and if she wasn't here he feared the worst. A wave of relief washed over him as he saw Andy, visible sparks coming off of her skin. He resisted the urge to hold her, glad that she was alright, he couldn't afford the injury though. "Tri is hurt, they all are. We need to find help, but I don't want to leave you alone. Come with me, we'll see if we can find help along the way." He waited for Andy to follow and led the way back to the bodies, sadly noone was along the way that could help. EE had already retreated and they hadn't regrouped yet or shut off the jammers. When tbey arived they were no closer to finding help than when he had left them.

"Heh" Mara said nothing she just dropped the Claw and disappeared in the shadows they left behind, reaching for the furthest she could go safely.(Shadow Jump: max distance 1mile. 1 jump left). Yes she could stay ...attempt to find out where they were may have even if her base wasn't under attack!. Why the hell did they even bring her along?
If Zaku was just going to lie to her about being in charge ...why would a bunch of numbskulls bring here there at all? unless it was planned, or trying to convince a "meta" to join them.
Reappearing from the shadow of some trees in some orchard she groan ... dropping her armor form with a painful hiss before dropping down. damn it ......she pulled her phone out and looked at it. "...." a faint smile touched her face was drawn and grey with exhaustion, she activated gps and called a friend. she needed a ride back home... screw zaku and the others.they would move eventually anyways...she wanted to know how everyone was.

"Ree. Tri, Hexxis and two unknowns are down. No EE members on video. Kage, medical supplies are to the room to your left. Outside emergency vehicles are coming. Lock down is still in place " the child voice said through the intercom with a slight warble as if he had been crying just recently.

Ree looked up alarmed. Down? Down?!. No EE members on security cameras at least ... did they leave? did they find melody? "shoot" he said quietly looking behind him at the door. No one had approached him since he left melody and gathered those he could find. No mention of Mara ... and most of the people below her were still children. "..." he moved to one of the secuiryt cameras and flickers his wings. "Where?!"
"::mentions the hallway::"
Ree takes off with a feeling of dread, he could still feel Tri's aura but it was weaker who knows about the rest. Heads to the corridor.

Andy nodded with determination, wanting to help, to do anything she could. Following behind Kage as they ran back to where they had last parted. As they came back on the scene, Andy stared across the mass of bloodied bodies as her expression was one sadness and fear. This is what the EE was capable of? Hurting people without remorse. She had only recognized one person among the four bodies, Tri. She took a deep breath as she approach them with caution. "I can help. I can heal them.. probably not all of them though... I'll just start with the worse wounds." One stabbed in the back, one stabbed through the stomach, another with an abdomen wound and two bullet wounds. Andy knelt down to Hexxis, feeling her injuries were the worst at the moment and placed her hands over the wound to begin healing it.
It only took a few seconds before her eyes flung open and she began to scream, thrashing hard then curling up onto herself, crying. "..stay away from me.." Any further attempts to heal her would be met with more screaming and possible violence. She opened her eyes to look at Tri from her position, reaching out a weak hand to him, tears in her eyes as he lays on the ground unconscious some distance from her. She struggled to try to pull herself closer, but she simply didn't have the strength. ".....tri....."
Andy had jolted back in surprise as Hexxis screamed and double over. It seemed that healing hurt her as Andy stopped and after a moment, moved over to Tri and just began to heal him instead. "Kage, I can't heal the girl. It hurts her and she won't let me continue." she informed, healing Tri's wounds. "She'll bleed out if she doesn't get any aid at all." she added, focusing on the two smaller wounds and on the larger wound in his back.
Kae rounded the corner running, coming to a slow as she saw the fallen metas in the hallway and Andy desperately trying to heal them. Kae frowned sternly and looked for the boy. Ah, there he was. She looked around for a moment, "Where is Ree?" she asked in a burning voice that was commanding and cold.

Kage watched as Andy began healing. Wait, she could heal? As Hexxis awoke screaming he looked back down where the voice had told him bandages were. He moved down towards the room, if she couldn't be healed at least he could patch her up. He returned and bandaged her tightly keeping an eye on her in case she attacked again. She looked different no longer the eye of a shadow as she awoke, but he still didn't know what Malice meant, maybe it was a name. "What was that about? Why did you attack your father, Malice?"

"If you don't have something sticking out of you for those words, her Malice is not active " Ree said hurrying into the hallways and coming to a stop, his smaller wings puffed up as he stared at the scene, his senses reaching out toward them to check for life(Healing). They were weaker and weaker, he took a glance at Kae as he headed toward Tri and Hexxis. "I'm here" his fingers itching, wanting to heal even as he cast a glance toward Adny healing Tri wanting to help. Then the two unknowns on the ground, and finally Kage before looking back at Kae.
"I was keeping guard to the lower path ways" he said quietly "Have you seen Mara?" his younger voice sounded tense as he moved to help Kage with Hexxis. Knowing they had to move her away form the blood before she woke up again but with her wound that would almost be pointless. He felt sick with fear as he stared at Hexxis, knowing something had happened to Tri....even the other two unknowns near them. He brush Hexxis's arms to the floor "keep her flat. don't unroll the gauze to much, just pack it in near the wound. we need to slow the bleeding. " he said to Kage pausing long enough to look at the black rimed red eyes and sent a hint of healing towards him to check.

Kae gave a nod to Ree as he came into the hallway. At least both Mara's.. responsibilities.. were accounted for. She moved to the side and watched, she wasn't a healer and didn't know too much in first aid. She couldn't do much to help, which agitated her that in this situation, she was helpless to contribute.
Hexxis was struggling against Kage's touch, wincing hard as the pain was too much to bare and she cried out again. "No, stop!!!" As she heard someone answer as Ree, the struggle in her subsided. "....brother?.." she questioned, this would have been the first time she'd actually met him, but she somehow felt safer with his presence. He was family. She strained but tried to explain to Kage the best she could. "I'm not a malice... She's not coming back... wants me to see.. I don't... she.." she winced as more pain shot through her body, trying hard not to struggle to much as the pain made her choke back on tears. "...i'm sorry... she.. she hurt... him.. i'm sorry.... im so sorry..." she cried, closing her eyes.
Kae twinged as Ree asked about Mara, frowning for a brief moment before becoming stern once again. "I don't know how to sugar coat it for you.... They took her." she stated bluntly, her eyes averted for the moment. "Once Tri and Hexxis are stable or at least cared for, we can figure out a plan to get her back." she followed up as she looked to Ree with burning eyes, like she was ready to wage a war, hidden behind a strong but quiet demeanor.

Kage did his best to hold Hexxis down and finish bandaging her up, especially since Andy said she would bleed out if she wasn't treated. He had stabbed her without hesitation, but he didn't want to be the one to kill Tri's daughter, that would be an awkward conversation. Instead he started talking to her when she calmed down slightly trying to distract her, "Alright, if not Malice, what is your name? Also how do you hide your eyes, even I can't do that." Unaware of what the Malice and the fact that she claimed she was Tri's daughter he assumed she was part shadow and thus the eye from earlier was her own.
Ree sent out a hint of healing energy to Kage and the scratch on his elbow faded, the only mark he had from the invasion of the renegades. He looked up to Ree and asked him a question. "Ree, what was Tri talking about?" He looked over to Blaise and Kate and then back to Ree, "Also, do you know who either of those two are? The orange haired one disabled the other and tried to surrender, but Tri stabbed her. I don't know which one had the strange power but afterwards his daughter stabbed him in the back." Poor Kage, he really had no idea about the situation at all, he knew he had fired at Blaise and stabbed Hexxis in the chest, but other than that it was all really confusing.

Ree turned his head to look back down at Hexxis, her words shocking him out of the feeling of panic that was starting to rise. " Brother?" Blanking out for a moment, yes...today was going to be the day they meet for longer than a few minutes, he even saved half of one of those blasted cookies for her just to see her reaction. " Hexxis, don't move. He's done. We need to wait until the emergency vehicles get here " his voice quiet but his claw shape nails pricked as he dug them into his palm. Waiting, waiting for the anger hate...anything to rise, she was the reason Tri had been hurt to the point of near death in the last few months..about three times? And he still adopted her?! He waited and only felt irritation and anger aimed at Tri but wariness and pity when it came to her, and her cries of sorry. It wasn't her fault completely...he wish it was because it would then make things easier ... but he already knew that other part was not her, she was a victim and Tri might have thought the same thing. Didn't make Tri less of an idiot, but he could understand it. " What?" He turned sharply to Kae while Kage spoke. " Give me a minute, one of us will tell you... what you said about her eyes, cover her eyes with what is left of the gauze, please " he said quickly, even if Kage had been asking about about how she hid her eyes? He had no idea about that but right now child-like Kae's response and body language had him on alert. This was also the first time he met her as well, and had an idea who she was but nothing more other than that. "A plan yes. " wanting to say that Mara was likely locked in one of the rooms or watching from a safe place but he knew how highly unlikely that was. The fact she had not address anyone on the intercom already said something was very wrong. " But first we need to get them help and the only way to do that with Mara gone is to go and defuse the problem outside before it gets started... Everything that has happened would have alerted the other bases. It will take them at least an hour or less to gather and storm in here shoot anything they think is a meta. " never looking away from Kae he continued to address her, his gaze was not a challenge but more of observing her reactions. " You right now are the only non-meta who is alive and not behind locked doors...with maybe a chance of surviving if they recognize you fast enough. " he continued to talk quietly worry radiating in his body language. Kae would be considered a meta... why would a pure blood Elf be here at a human base? He glanced toward Kage and Andy then, his mind thinking quickly. Tri and he has planned to phase or teleport in such a situation that Mara sent them off, there was even one safe room for them encase they were injured and unable to do so... but with so many currently unconscious and the room far away he didn't think they would make it in time..with the injured at least. " I can offer some range support if you are willing.. Other wise we need to get as many of them to our safe room before they storm and find some way to keep them alive. No attacking the humans even if they want to kills us" he sighed " Those two" he motioned to the red and orange hair girl and the child, neither that he recognized. " leave them last, if Tri was trying to kill them...pretty good bet they don't belong... Actually no. Take the smaller girl. If they have Mara, we can use her for a trade " he said glancing toward Kae as if seeking confirmation as if he might have Mara but it wasn't a need either, more as wondering if she would add more. That also meant he needed to go get Melody as soon as possible and hope she was still there.

Hexxis tried her best to remain still, the pain getting the better of her as she bit her lip trying to ignore the pain from the gaping wound. "...is.. tri.. okay.." she whispered, slipping in and out of consciousness again. "..my.. eyes..?" she was muttering to herself now, barely audible as she was becoming more disoriented. She reached up to place a hand over her the gauze that covered her blind eye. Then her hand fell limp as she lost consciousness again.Kae sighed and shook her head. "One of their members teleported Lucian out and with them, took Mara. I was there." she clenched her teeth, anger showing though for not being able to stop it from happening. She listened to him talk about the situation. She nodded in response. "Yes, take at least one of them as leverage in case we need the bargaining chip to help us get Mara back. As far as the humans outside, I will handle them." she instructed simply, she began to walk away, closing her eyes to concentrate hard. Her ears fading into a more human form and her eyes dulled into a brown color. She couldn't hold this form for long even in her adult state, so she figured she'd only have so much time like this, so she'd have to convince them quickly. She made her way outside, hands up to make sure they knew she wasn't a threat. After a bit of time, she was heard as she explained how the EE had made a random attack and that the metas inside the facility had defended and valiantly protected everyone. Everything had been handled, and there were no further threats, stressing that everything was okay and that they were safe, especially thanks to the metas who fought against the EE with their lives at stake. Kae did her best to talk in the best light possible. Later, she would use her connections to further solidify her words, in an attempt to keep tension down and the problem contained.

Kage didn't understand why Ree wanted her eyes covered, but he complied either way. He looked around then at the two unknown Metas. He didn't know their powers, but knew that they had to be shut down. He looked a the Metas in the room looking for Collars. The first he saw was Andy, sweet Andy, Mara required her to wear the collar at all times and she now refused to let Kage remove it. Next there was Tri, unconscious and seemingly Mara's right hand removing his shouldn't be much of an issue. Finally there was Hexxis, Tri's daughter, oddly enough she had a collar even though Ree did not, he wasn't sure of the reasons behind it, but maybe Mara just really didn't like the kid for some reason.
Tri's collar snapped off with a single turn of the key. Kage moved it over to the winged Meta placing it around her neck. It snapped shut before he moved over to Hexxis, the key in hand as he reached towards her collar he needed a second one after all and had no clue of the dangers in removing it.

Ree nodded staring, they took Mara? Made sense...leverage to get what they want when they couldn't find Melody. A lot of the old research journals mention tactics like that to get specific specimens or their own people back. It didn't make it any less worrying since many of those examples didn't end well. He moved to get up and head after Kae..realizing she was already further ahead and didn't look or mention she need his help.
Hexxis's voice pulled him away "He's being healed by Andy" he said softly to Hexxis finding the word odd since Andy had been trying to kill them only some time before. "Rest.." He said quietly, worry entering his voice as he wanted to help her but couldn't, he heard her screams when he was still making his way there, of healing and pain.
Once she fell asleep he looked up toward the two unknown, wishing they had some way to know if Kae was successful or not to have a good idea what to do. A quick glance to his phone shows them that they were still without signal. "Kage do you th-"He looked toward the Shadow and paled "DON'T " he yelled, trying to lift Kage's arms up with telekinesis but he was already moving and jump/sliding toward Hexxis in an effort to grab onto and keep it close if somehow Kage did open it.
"Don'topenitDon'topenitDon'topen" He lowered his head over her his eyes were dialated in fear. "M-Malice.... You .." He paused taking a shaky breath and looked up. "Horror movies... Vengeful ghost taking over s-someone and " he swallowed" ripping them to piece or whatever?" Knowing that all the blood around them already fit into most horror stories. "Malice is the ghost. Hexxis is the host..this Malice's name is Ashral ..." He actually whispered the last part...bad time to say he freaking hated horror movies. "Don't open the collar ..or the wrists .." He said quickly.

Kage hadn't been expecting the sudden push back, but neither did he resist it as Ree stopped him from undoing the collar. "Why?" He listened to the simple explanation of Hexxis and Ashral. He nodded and asked, "Why didn't Tri just say possessed instead." He looked back at the child Kate, "Alright, do we have a collar for the other one then?" Poor Kage not doing anything right today, but at least he didn't know better.

"We didn't pick the word..." He muttered as he finally checked the collar and pulled away with a sigh of relief. "The good version are called Manes. Their existence being proven is why that sanctuary was allowed to be open" rambling? Maybe just a little.
"No collar... My clearance doesn't reach that high. I have one in my room though" a look of disgust passed his face. "Except if they come .... You're not excatly on current file..they are slow like that " looking torn for a moment because he need to go get Melody as well, just as they started to hear voices in the hallway coming and calling out to each other
. "Or not. They are here. Try.... To act meek " his voice turned cold. " if they fire ...Run " he said quietly staying on the ground and drooping his wings as he kept his hands in view, but preparing to shield that area of the hallway encase.

"So...." One of the humans that had been talking to Kae returned, his phone jingling in his hand slightly as if victorious. "We found Mara.... Or technically she called us. She should be heading back but it will take her a few hours. " he shook his head, magic that made him uncomfortable... Think how many things could have been lost because one or a few could teleport half way across the country. " She confirmed your attack and lack of communication, I sent in some people to help the metas and check for any ...extras before doing room by room checks before giving the OK"

Andy had been passively listening to their conversation as she concentrated on healing Tri. It was just about healed up as she could already feel woozy from using so much energy. So the girl had a Malice? An evil spirit, and had done this kind of damage to Tri, a shudder shot through her spine just thinking about it. The sanctuary? That was knew, hadn't heard of that, but it seemed like a place to prove Manes, the good spirits? Well, that's also confusing, especially without being able to remember anything about any of these things. People were approaching as Andy scooted slowly to Blaise, her hands visible, moving slowly. She reached her hands down to begin healing Blaise's stomach, hesitating slightly at first as she stared at her face. This was the girl that said her name, but yet no memories of this person would surface. She had so many questions, questions she wanted to ask the girl, and questions she had for Kage. Andy stayed healing Blaise but kept an eye on those approaching, on a bit of guard just in case they opened fire on them. She'd have to try to help defend them.

Kae relaxed slightly as they mentioned Mara was okay and on her way back. What a relief. Kae kept her calm and firm appearance. "That is good to hear. There should only be our metas left inside. I had a robot do a sweep of the facility to be assured of that, though please do so with your own people to be absolutely sure. Safety is of top priority, after all. I'm sure you can agree." Kae slid her eyes to the building, this had been a mess, but at least no one was dead it seemed, and even Mara was okay and headed back. Kae began to wonder what it was they were even after. Lucian wouldn't have risked his life the way he did just for the hell of it. SIU had something they really wanted, something very valuable to them to cause them to do.. well, all this. Kae narrowed her eyes as she thought. She would definitely have to ask Mara about it, if she wasn't willing to provide an answer, she always had her own ways of finding things out.

The small girl had been standing in the closet as shadows had filled the closet, moving, writhing, whipping around her body slowly. Her head was down as she stood silently. No one would dare harm Melody. She was prepared to attack anyone that came through that door. She was angry and confused and scared as she remained still, negative feelings crawling within her.
Until hands reached up slowly and lightly brought Melody into an embrace from behind, squeezing more as her body formed into solidity within the darkness. "Shhhh... you are not alone anymore..." she whispered softly, her voice not robotic anymore. "Don't be scared... I will always protect you.. just like I always did." Zira smiled faintly, squeezing harder. "Welcome home, love."
Melody's body tensed up at first but relaxed as the person began to talk. Who was this person, and why did they feel so calming? She was compelled to relax within her arms, her body falling softly into Zira's lap as they came to a sitting position. She desperately searched for an answer, a name, anything. "..Zira?.." she strained, pain growing within her before it died down and she fell asleep in her lap.
