Kage stood before Mara, enraged. He considered ripping her from that suit and showing her just how powerless she really was. A sudden appearance put that thought on hold however as another Meta challanged him, their own Aura trying to contest his. He froze as Andy called out weakly, his senses returning as Mara kicked him, hard. He remained on his feet, the blow having little visual effect and although he could feel the pain his anger numbed it. Andy called out once more and he attempted to regain himself.

Kage turned away from Mara, the look on Andys face filling him with shame. The shadows crawling over his skin slowly receded until they were shadows no more, but tattoos a pale reminder of the power trapped within. No longer battling the other shadows aura he was overcome with dread as he looked back to Mara. He had made a mistake and he knew it, but how much of one would be up to her to decide.

The anger drained from his eyes as he looked up at Mara pleading, "Mara, please,,, Put the gun away... Andy isn't a threat, you don't have to try forcing her to be one." He looked up at her eyes full of tears. This entire situation was just so confusing, why had they made him give Andy a new life if they weren't going to give her a chance? Why had he worked so hard to pass their tests if they weren't going to trust him? Why, just why? So many questions, life just kept getting more complicated adding new ones.

He wiped away the tears that were swelling in his eyes as be reached for the barrel of the gun. "Mara, you need to trust me or you need to shoot me, but Andy isn't a threat." He placed the barrel against his chest as if telling her she had to decide now.

Andy shot a extremely confused and distressed look to Tri as he spoke of her old self, no recollection to that life, now making no sense to her. "But.. I'm not part of EE..... I wouldn't.." her heart sank and she tried to understand what he was saying. "I think.. you have me confused.. I would never do that..." her voice trailed off, despite none of it making sense, it was a little too convenient that she had apparently hurt someone during her 'accident', but this man was claiming it was her 'capture'. She was tensing up. Shooting a half-glare to Tri, "I don't know who you are, but I'm not some kind of threat. I'm not a member of EE, and I don't why you'd even think that. You don't even know me!" she started in, her feelings hurt as she then exhaled, trying not to get mad about, turning her attention back to Mara as she instructed her to get Kylar. Andy nodded, placing her hand inside of his and walking past Mara back toward the compound slowly. She paused before she fully departed. "I promise I won't take it off anymore... I swear on my life. Because I'm not like them. I'm not a threat. I just.. wanted to have fun. I'm sorry." she responded softly. "Come on, Kylar... take me back to the room..." she spoke even softer, saddened but compliant. She didn't want to fight, she just wanted to go lay down and think for a while. Things were just too confusing. And even more so, she was afraid of her own anger, having considered attacking at some point, but that wasn't her. She would never do that. She was different.

Tri stared after them in a haze of confusion. Not sure why they were both being allowed -into- the compound....but Mara didn't look alarm, she actually told Andy to take the Shadow away.

Making his way slowly toward Mara now, he glanced toward Kae with a frown then turned his head sharply toward some shadows in the distance, his aura unbanking slightly in warning to the being he could feel hiding there...even if he really was in no shape to start a fight, it was his territory.


Mara growled and moved up to Tri, letting him lean against her. She wanted to hit something still and was trying very hard not to hit Tri when he strengthens his aura somewhat. "..... congrats you meet the new two "recruits" assuming they live long enough" whether she was talking to Tri or Kae she just left it open for either to comment. Damn it, she needed to send someone o guard them now... who know if what Tri blurted might break what ever Kage did to her..and she just sent her inside.

Kage continued to weep, his emotions all in a jumble since kissing Andy. He would have liked nothing more than to be comforted by her. Her embrace could have taken it all away, but it never came. Andy began to apologize and the confusion only grew. He tried to calm himself, taking several deep breaths. Slowly regaining his composure, Kage finally answered her questions. "It's complicated... Mara is keeping us safe, she's just a colossal b**ch. It's not safe for us to be out in the world alone, the renegades see to that. Human opinion of us is low and only getting lower because of their actions." He looked at the wings behind her before he continued, "I'm afraid it's to difficult to for you to hide among the humans. Mara is the only other option for people like us. We work for them and they keep us safe, even if they treat us like s**t."

Kage lied to her so easily. It was true in some regards especially the part about Mara being a b**ch, but he couldn't afford to tell her the truth. He was confused about a lot, but one thing was for certain. No matter what, he couldn't lose Andy. He was going to protect her, even against Mara.

Andy narrowed her eyes in dismay as he had continued to cry, desperately wanting to move, then stepping forward slowly. Hesitating. Her body had built up a bit of electricity during her anger and she was afaid of hurting him as she listened to him explain they situation. It made perfect sense to her, the puzzle pieces eerily fitting together entirely too easy. Though, she didn't think too hard on it. "I understand then..." she nodded slowly. Whatever she had done when she lost her memories had caused Mara to be on edge. "I guess I'll just have to keep proving that I'm not a threat.." she commented, as it seemed she meant it as a light-hearted one, but her face still expressed a frown. If tonight was any indication of how humans might react to her, she was at least relieved it was here with Kylar and under Mara's care. The way she saw it, it could have been a worse predicament. She was thankful that Mara had not actually shot Kylar. Thinking on how devastating that could have been to her, she took another hesitant step towards him, moving as though she were going to reach out to him, touch him even, but was scared. There was a chance her built up electricity could hurt him, or he could be resistant. She had no idea, she simply could not remember of him which it was.

Kae nodded in confirmation to Mara's reply. Mara didn't need the inhibitor for the boy, but decided on taking a better inhibitor for Andy. The agreement over Hexxis' inhibitors had already been discussed and was already taking part of Kae's concentration to passively do calculation that she could apply later when she began to actually build it. She showed a twinge of deep respect for Mara's decision as it was decided. She kept Tri in her peripheral, making note of his actions, Black hair. Intimidating. Quiet. Blunt. Injured. Kae blinked, turning her attention only slightly to Tri for a moment, "He must be Tri.." she commented then Mara's voice somehow demanded her attention back in it's own way, Humor me this... Kae listened as the question came, but seemed more directed toward Zira than herself. Zira had immediately looked to Kae in response as Kae merely nodded at her.


"I am capable of reading the powers of Metas. Other abilities I posses include control of shadows.." her eyes flickered for a split second toward Tri. "As well as telepathy and reading minds. I also am supposed to possess the ability to harm malice's directly, however the focus does not work properly and has been taken offline temporarily for further maintenance." she answered, her voice monotone and bland, robotic and direct. Her expression never change even in the slightest for even a second.

Kae seemed satisfied with the answer Zira gave as she said nothing in retort this time. Tri began to talk of chipping Andy, and the possibility of frying the chip. "It depends on how much electricity she uses. If she super heats her body in the process, there may not be a good solution to that other than just chipping the collar behind high-heat resistant materials. But if you mean to chip just her, collar or no, that is possible if one creates a chip that is insulated with silicon rubber epoxy to essentially dissipate and redirect the flow of the electrical currents in her body away. At least dispersing it enough to have a much higher chance of resistance against her abilities and remaining intact." she began to ramble on slightly, but never faltered for a moment to show neither excitement or annoyance. Just facts. She then paused for a moment, realizing how cold she sounded then actually smiled. "Sorry, science is my first love, so I tend to get a little carried away every now and again."

"You have more questions?" she spoke suddenly.

Kae looked to Zira for a moment then titled her head a little, as though it was unexpected for her to speak so suddenly on her own.

There was no real reason other than century's old instinct when she shifted her weight slightly as if to give herself a better angle to move between Tri and Kae if needed. Maybe it was mostly because he was injured and Kae's statement threw warning bells in her head. Also this was the second person she meet connected to Kae that reminds her more of a robot than something living...and doubt's having Kae's intrest when you were a meta is a good thing.

Tri leaned against Mara finally. "It would depend on the voltage and amplitude she can produce and the temperature the epoxy can withstand. Even if it can sustain itself enough to redirect, you have to take into account the prolong exposure to a high degree of heat too. While there are substances that can do it...not all of them are going to be able to be compacted into a small form and still retain enough permability to send out a signal. So it still ends up being a one shot. " he said tiredly as Mara made a soft irritated sound. ((Electric sense/electronic repair knowledge))

"I'll ....let you two talk to each other. One day" she turned her head to look at Zira, eyes narrowing under the helmet. That ..that was very useful even if she spoke more like a robot than Hexxis did. //read minds....delete memories.. Withstand heat. We are all almost like computers aren't we?// "I was wondering if you had been able to scan Andy while she was here...do you know her powers?" Hopefully finally a description on what they had on their hands.

Tri looked at the Elf?...Elf meta? He wasn't sure. She looked faintly familiar but he couldn't recall where he has seen her if he had at all. He just gave her a nod before turning to look at Zira, leaning a bit more heavily against Mara..one wing flaring for balancing.


Mara kept eye contact with Zira, grimacing slightly as she adjusted her weight to hold him.High control and generation of electromagnetism sounded bad pssive allure and subliminal seduction sounded just as ba-. sh** sh** sh**!. Her eyes widen slightly as she looked back after Andy and Kage. Well..that explains the puppy dog love. ...ugh. "Thank you...we had been trying to figure out what she has been doing for a while..with a collar on" knowing they weren't perfect but it was one of the few things they had to hold a meta.

Tri frowned slightly, not at all happy that he was showing any weakness at all. The temptation to pull away from Mara and ...the elf was very attractive but stupid at the same time, so he tensed and allowed her to help him on the other side...looking at none of them.

Mara just raised a brow as she looked at Tri, then glanced up at them nodding to Zira."So something for everyone to be careful of " that was not comforting at all, before she turned her gaze sharply to Kae. "Stay?" she stared unbelieving at the Elf. "If you wish to.... we have some room in the guest quarters but you will have to sign a few things... promising not to go poking around" since non-humans had quite a few rights too... and well you at least had a better understanding of where you stood than a meta.

"Criel... don't say bad words. I don't know yet, they are pushing to get her back and deal out their own justice. Unless I can convince them she is useful with me, this is going to be a long battle.... or a short one " she frowned, it all depended on how she approached this and if she still wanted after today's show. This was still a test...and she needed to get back inside and make sure they things were still safe. "Well then ....let go inside and look at those papers" she said glancing to Kae and Zira and not looking at Tri at all.
