Niamh darted out of her room when she heard the announcement about the slimes. Oh this was EXCITING. She loved pets, and a new one? This was ON, like nobody's business. She'd brought out treats with her, and was prepared to tempt a slime to come home with her.

Within a minute, she'd spotted an adorable pink Neko-ish slime! She coo'd at it, which caused it to turn and stare... And if something without legs could look poised to run, this one did. Niamh immediately showed it her selection of treats... she had no idea what slimes ate... and coo'd "Oh don't run, please! I just want to be your friend!" The slime wobbled in place, considering her for a moment, then slowly slid over, and was soon cuddled in Niamh's arms, to be taken to her room to live.

Kama strode into the Academy, his hat left in his apartment in the city. He'd put on gloves and was carrying a large mixing bowl... He figured he could try to catch one under it!

'Lilah was not far behind Kama, though she didn't know this fact, or even HIM, though she knew who he was, he was a somewhat well known model after all! She just happened to have arrived shortly after him. She noticed him, and stared for a long moment, unable to imagine a day in the future when HER clothes might be what he was showing off to adoring audiences at some fashion show.

She shook her head, though, and refocused, seeing slimes bouncing nearby. She'd made a sack out off some of her spare cloth and was pondering where to stand with it to catch some! "Chessy... Any ideas on how to chase a slime into the bag?" She was glad her friend had come with her!

Aloe, Evergreen and Turnip



Evergreen walked out with Aloe and scooped up a little green kitty slime and gave it to Aloe. Aloe smiled sweetly and said "Thank you Evergreen, but what about you??" In Evergreen's calm voice he said "I'm fine." Aloe smiled and kissed his cheek "Thank you Evergreen." Evergreen smiled back and said "Your welcome."





Turnip, was attempting to catch another slime, when he saw his adopted parents then he slipped and fell down slime in his fur. "You know what I am so going to figure out what this is and where these little guys came from." He said as he looked around at the fun madness going on.

Rowan looked out of his room, his face an expression of comical horror. He'd been studying, enjoying the quiet and getting all his assignments finished and perfect, when the most horrible noise had broken out. Weird had vanished under his bed and Annoying was out the window. That last part he didn't mind so much, because Annoying had been nibbling on his pencils, but he didn't like getting Weird upset. It wasn't cause he liked her or anything, that wasn't it! She was just weird and who knew how she'd respond to all this noise! Yea, that was it... Feeling reluctantly like he should try to help out, Rowan carefully closed the door to his room and looked around to figure out where to even start.

Vincent looked at all the running around with a slightly bemused expression. Mostly he was just observing; this was definitely something he should write a book about one day! All the people who hadn't been there would probably be jealous, or very relieved. Giselle would fall in the relieved category; she didn't mind Vincent going up to join the "fun", though the way she said the word he was pretty sure she didn't think it would be fun at all.

A slime bounced past him, pursued by a laughing freshling. He shouldn't just stand here! After all if he was going to write a book about this, he needed some first-hand experience! Vincent looked around for the nearest bit of slime without anyone tearing after it already, then gave chase!

Liam was finished up for the day. He'd made a few new glass charms that he hoped Echo might like, and had carefully wrapped them and was heading back to his room to put them away, when a huge commotion broke out around campus. Crowds of people were spilling out of the university and heading for the nearby Academy. Curious, Liam followed. The closer he got, the more sure he was that he'd probably made a mistake. It was like a riot was taking place, though there was too much laughter for it to be an actual riot. He got close enough to see all sorts of strange things, bouncing all over the place. He was just making up his mind to leave and head back to Grendel when from out of nowhere a weight hit his shoulder, followed by an odd sensation. He looked over and saw the strangest creature.

Liam would later deny his yelp of startlement. He ended up taking the little slime home with him, the creature clinging to his shoulder the whole way. He really hoped he wouldn't get in trouble for having it, though if it made a mess of his glass products he wouldn't hesitate to hand it over to someone else. It seemed well behaved though, and was oddly cute...

Malachi went after a different slime this time, more determined then he had been this entire time so far! But even all that determination left him empty handed once more as his failed scoop let the slime just flop right back down to the ground. "Gosh dang!"

Caelan noticed that his daddy caught a super cute slime! It was really green... just like their favorite colors! Well now he wanted one that was green, too! Looking around, the freshling spied a little green slime and tried to grab it up. It didn't work... Pout.

Sepphora was so not happy about what was going on. All these slimes were so... slimy. Giving a grossed-out look, she went to catch one, but the moment she touched it she was so disgusted her hand pulled right back!

Laurel was still running around, trying to catch all the various little slimes around her and missing. She noticed a certain cluster of them that seemed to be especially bouncy. Deciding to try her luck, she waited until just the right moment then darted over, using her large, furry paw to scoop one out of the air. For a moment they just stood there, the slime staring at her and Laurel staring back, excited that she'd finally caught one. It was an adorable little thing, and seemed quite content to stay in Laurel's paws now that she'd actually caught it. She smiled brightly, gently stroking the slime and listening to it burble in response. "We're gonna be great friends, I know it!"

Quartz watched all the people running around, wishing she had some way to capture the moment. No one was sitting still long enough for her to do a sketch or anything, and it was all going so fast that she hadn't been able to single out a moment to try to remember for a later drawing. It was just a load of brightly colored bits of ooze flying about everywhere, with people of all sizes giving chase. They were actually pretty cute, and Quartz found herself wanting one for her own. Surely her parents wouldn't mind? Since there was no way she could draw for now, anyways, she put her sketch book away and ran into the crowds, giggling as she spotting a slime and tore off after it.
