Username: thyPOPE Points: 0 + 5 + 3 = 8 Participant: Soothe RP Response: Soothe had become busy. She'd heard tell of injured animals in a certain corner of the market, and they'd occupied much of her time. Still, she had time time to dedicate to this booth, because the does here had been so very friendly that first day. Even if she really wasn't great at arbitrarily kicking coconuts.
"I'll do this one first," she decided, and kicked one coconut...um, to the left. Whoops. At least that wasn't the direction Ducks and her totoma companion were standing in. The second one, to Soothe's surprise, sailed through the small loop, and the third managed to find its way into the medium one. All in all, it wasn't a bad showing, and this booth was still a great way to destress. "Thanks," she told the does. "No, keep the coconut this time - I already have so many from the two of you!" She took her token, though. Word Count: 150 exactly lol

He'd actually had decent luck at this game, and was certain he had a fair amount of skill as well, given his recent abilities. As a coconut was rolled to him, the buck took a few practice kicks before he began, warming up.
It worked, as he quickly made one goal through the smallest hoop, though he missed on his second attempt. The third and final shot surprised him, going right through the small hoop again, and he grinned to himself. Champ material.

Participant: System Shock RP Response: System Shock had never backed down from a challenge in his life and he muscled his way to the front of the line to take his turn. “Watch this,” he told the doe, absolutely certain he was going to ace this easily.
Unfortunately it wasn’t as easy as it looked. He didn’t do too badly on his first try, headbutting the coconut into the largest loop but when he tried aiming fort eh others, all the coconut wanted to do was go sideways. As it rolled away for the last time, System Shock stomped a hoof in frustration.
He left embarrassed and angry, vowing to come back and show her exactly how skilled he could be.

The first coconut hit harder than she had expected but she remained steadfast and sent it soaring through the medium loop. The next one she aimed a little better and got it through the little loop. The last one made it through the big loop. She was pretty surprised to have scored at all, let alone to have made all three shots! She bounced up and down with delight, feeling quite proud of herself! Though her victory came with a cost, as evidenced by the large lump on her head. It seems this game was made for kin with.....thicker skulls...... Word Count: 119 ((AAAAAAA SO STOKED ON GETTING ART! Here's my matope page: link))

Username: thyPOPE Points: 1 + 3 + 3 = 7 Participant: Soothe RP Response: Soothe was stopping by a bit late, today. She figured the does wouldn't mind: the market had in general slowed down, and the initially rowdy crowds at that one booth seemed to have died down, too.
"I think I'd fancy another few tries," she told Ducks, a little smile on her face. She still knew almost nothing about this coconut kicking thing, but it was really...ah. It was really surprisingly de-stressing. That was good, right? She hoped so! She'd much rather be taking her stress out on coconuts than on her precious animals.
She pulled the first coconut over with the help of her snout, and she held it in place for a bit before rearing up and kicking it. It hit the biggest loop - and then it went through that loop. "Well!" she said, delighted. "At least I've got two more to go!"
She did those one after the other, replicating the feel of each kick exactly. Both coconuts made it through the middle-sized loop, although they came very close to the small one. If only, she thought - but it was fine. Word Count:

Username: Mindsend Points: 1+1+8= 10Participant:I Walk in DreamsRP Response: Dreams sat and watched as kin kicked and headbutted the coconuts towards the hoops, headbutting them with great and vicious power. As interested as she was, the dreamwalker's face remained in her usual unamused expression, watching with a disinterested air before standing up to leave. That was, at least, until Duck's issued her challenge. I walk in Dreams had a hard time turning down challenges or offered experiences, as otherwise there was no point in even passing through the dream called life, "I suppose there's no harm in trying." She picked up her pouch -- the bloody remains of leather left over from someone elses lunch lined with a partially cooked banana leaf to keep her tokens from getting bloodied and stuffed with flowers to keep it from smelling until she could get an actual pouch -- and walked over, setting it down on the line she had to stand behind, "So I just.... Oh!" The large nut came her way and she flinched slightly, coiling back and hitting it, just barely making it into the larger of the hoop. The second hit did better, but it still frustrated her that that was all she seemed able to do. Reading herself, the cyan Acha turned around -- the Totoma seemed to do so well with the headbutting, perhaps it'd be easier to aim being able to see where it was heading head on rather than peering over ones shoulder. And with that she headbutted the final coconut. -CRACK-
Stars flashing in her eyes, Dreams sat down abruptly, gently putting her right foreleg over the crown of her head, " Oooow.." She pressed slightly and flinched a little -- it was going to be a bruise, her soft mantle not really made for headbutting like the horned members of her kin, but at least nothing seemed broken. Squinting and blinking a bit, she flinched slightly with a weak smile, "That was through the smallest hoop, right? Please tell me I didn't bash my brains for no good reason and was seeing things..." Truly, coming here was a brilliant idea, if Dogrot actually had ideas, and didn't just lurch around the swamp completely at random with no destination, or, for that matter, origin, in mind. Dogrot lurched up to the coconuts and tried to break open two without success, finally working out that perhaps the totoma could break the third open for it; some of the flying fruits had broken in the process, it noticed. Dogrot kicked the third coconut in the totoma's direction, but to its disappointment the coconut landed intact on the other side of the weird apparatus. Dogrot left feeling very disappointed. Blue Blood, for all his good work at self improvement, (at least when it came to kicking around coconuts through a bunch of hoops), he had begun to rest on his laurels. The sap had gotten good and almost skilled in his last attempt at the game and so when he returned? He was a hot mess, not warming up, no aiming, and it showed. He missed any goal with his forst shot, and the remaining two proved to be blunders. One large goal and then a medium, his score was small.
Which his ego could suit to be as well.

But she could say she knew the routine by now. "Maybe I'll do better if you demonstrate again, though," she said, and felt proud, because she was rarely witty.
She was surprised to receive her demonstration, though. But though it was - obviously - both thorough and skilled, it didn't seem to help her much. In fact, she performed worse than she had for days - only her first coconut actually made the mark, going right through the largest hoop without much fanfare. She stomped her feet, a little show of celebration, and then...ah. Her second and third coconuts both missed the mark by far, the second actually going behind her, somehow, and the third just...uh...flying straight up.
She wasn't really sure how that'd happened. Word Count: 147

Username: Mindsend Points: 1+7+4= 12Participant:I Walk in DreamsRP Response: This, needless to say, was Frustrating. Dreams had been having a fairly good day, made some things she was was proud of. But now, one of those things was causing her a good bit of trouble -- She had used some sort of paste to attach a gemstone to a mask, and it had since been picking up leaf litter on her hoof from under the snow. Her attempts to scrape it off had only managed to transfer the pastey mess of litter to her back hoof, and now she was dragging about a decent amount of dirty snow with it. That was when an idea struck her - maybe she could use the nut kicking game to knock the mess off of her hoof, while continuing to attempt to get tokens. Even if she didnt spend any more of them, she could, at least, collect them -- the stones were rather lovely on their own. Once her turn came up, she gave a quick kick at the first nut. However her foot dragged with the horrible mess on it, causing the coconut to simply roll a little on the ground, going no where near the hoops, only just barely leaving the area it had been before the cyan doe kicked it. The second attempt didn't fair much better -- the dragging leaves and melting slush hit it somewhat from the side, changing the trajectory and sending the round nut ricocheting off of trees until it splashed in some water in the opposite direction. Taking a deep breath, Dreams landed a good solid kick with the gummed up foot on the third nut. However as her foot went down, the sappy mess now stuck to the nut as well. She failed her back leg the best she could to shake it free before Dreams completely lost her footing, landing with a smack, her bottom jaw clicking hard on her upper teeth everything felt like it was rattling, Wincing, she looked up pitifully up at the kin manning the game, "A... A little help? Please?" Word Count: 344

Easy walked up, nodding tot he other participants, and to the hosts of the event. Tossing his hair from his eyes before kicking up the first nut. Easy lined up his shot, tail swishing as he charged the first kick. The nut sailed through the air, whistling through the medium hooop easily. Easy was proud of himself, grinning haughtily before linging up the second shot. Easy got a bit fancy with his next move, maybe a little to fancy, deciding out of arrogance to try kicing the next nut in backwards. His bravado failed him, and the nut shot completely out of the field, through the copse of trees. Easy frowned and quickly tried to compose himself. Lining up the third shot. He couldn't help but try and put a bit of flair into this one either though. Eager to imprsess more than he was to make points. Easy put a bit of skip into his step, the nut bounced, dug into the ground, and then flew out smashing through the branches of a nearby tree. Easy winced, and, hoping to recover his pride, quickly made an exit. Thanking the pair for the game before darting out. Maybe he'd come back another time and make less of a fool of himself. But she had a lot of things to do, this market, didn't she?
Well, it didn't matter. The activities at this booth were relaxing as ever. Or perhaps the coconuts were just a good target for her frustrations.
Either way: she certainly didn't mind showing up, and she took her coconuts happily. She cheered softly when her first coconut made it through the largest loop. "I think I've learned that any of these coconuts making it through those loops is a good thing," she said. Her point was proven when the next coconut did not repeat the feat. Oh, well, she thought. She could do better this next time, right? And she did. The third coconut went much higher, through the middle-sized loop, and Soothe felt satisfaction spreading through her body. This was actually kind of fun - in no small part thanks to Ducks.
It was strange, actually. She'd never enjoyed spending time with kin before - it was always animals that she needed to help out that came first, for her. Word Count: 187

Username: Scaramouche Fandango Points: 5+3+3=11 Participant: Fair Hunter RP Response: Fair Hunter couldn't resist the allure of the coconut kick. Though she was much better at, say, biting, her kicking abilities weren't anything to scoff at. She lined up for the kicks and was pleased to see that it wasn't just raw strength but also finesse; you had to aim carefully, and you had to do it backwards. This might be tricky. While none of her kicks hit the bullseye, so to speak, she was still pretty happy with the way things shook out. Her first kick made the second-smallest target; the other two sailed through the second-largest loop cleanly. She gave a wan smile as she collected her prize; this was a fine game, one she thought she could get better at. Perhaps she should acquire some coconuts to take home and practice with? This might be something that interested Gecko, as well- her friend did enjoy games, and this was a fairly practical one as well. Good for both of them. Word Count: 163

The first coconut that she hit was a complete miss, and she began to regret her decision. She braced herself for the second one, hoping it wouldn't hurt quite as much, but it did. Still, she did send it soaring through the medium loop and that was enough to keep her playing. The third coconut hit her hard, and she didn't have it in her to push back this time so she simply fell to her rump, the coconut landing on the ground next to her with a loud thud. She was offered a coconut as a consolation prize but she was too dizzy to understand and simply stumbled off, muttering something about needing a nap. Word Count: 136
