Giani bounced down the stairs with a helmet under each arm. His bike had been one of the few possetions he had insisted on bringing with him. Thankfully Aquilla had pretty lax rules where such things were concerned.
Grinning he presented Is with one of the helmets and began to lead the way to the car park.

"Put that on." He grinned as they reached a rather shiney black motorbike. Pulling the keys out of his pocket once more he climbed on and turned to face her. "get on behind me and hold tight. I won't go too fast, I promise."

Israel took the helmet from Giani and followed after him. When they got to his bike, she held back for a moment to admire it. She wasn't usually very interested in cars and other vehicles, but she could appreciate that this was a beautiful machine. She watched him climb on and slolwy reached up to put the helmet on. Taking a deep breath to calm her excited nerves, she walked up and hopped on behind him. Placing her arms loosely around his waist, she leaned close to him, almost pressing herself against his back.

Placing his own helmet on he smiled as she gripped him round the waist and started the bike.

It didn't take them long, zooming through the countryside to reach the coast. Giani realised that he didn't actually know where this restaurant was. Ah, well it was a beautiful day and the scenery was amazing. He drove up onto the bendy cliffside road until they reached a series of coved beaches.

Slowing down he scanned the small houses and restaurants for something vaguely interesting. Nestled between an old house and a kimono shop he noticed a sign with an Italian flag. O.k so it probably wasn't the restaurant she had been talking about but usually in a foreign country, where there was green white and red, there was pizza.

Parking the bike up he removed his helmet and turned slightly to Is.
"Are you o.k?" He asked ruffling his hand through his hair.

When they first started moving, Israel had gripped him tighter, but after a while she relaxed and started watching the world fly by. The day was so beautiful and the coast was amazing. When he finally stopped, she sat up a bit and pulled the helmet off as well.

"Oh my gosh! That was so much fun!" she beamed, the excitement from the ride flushing her cheeks. Cradling the helmet under one arm, she reached up to do the same to her hair.

Giani grinned at her excitement.
"I'm glad you enjoy it so much." He said taking the helmet from her and placing it next to his on the seat. Resisting the urge to touch her flushed cheeks he put his hands in his pockets and nodded towards the restaurant.

"I don't know about you, but I'm starving now." He said with another cheeky smile. "Shall we eat?"

Israel's eyes were bright as she smiled up at him. "Me too. Let's go," she said, slipping her arm around his without thinking and tugged on him lightly as she started towards the restaurant. Once inside, she greeted the waitress cheefully and followed her to a booth by a window overlooking the beach. Israel dropped her hand from his arm and slid into the booth, glancing around at the rather cheesy Italian decor.

"I hope the pizza is as good as I've heard," she smiled, pulling a menu to her and glad to find they had pictures of their entrees. "Would you like to get one to share, or just get some slices?" she asked, looking up at him.

Giani glanced around at the decor and shook his head in amusement as they sat.
"It seems that they had a taste transplant." He said with a snort of laughter as she pulledthe menu out. His laughter was further increased when he saw the slogan on the lamenated cover.
"My mother said cooking eats a person whole and buys cats." He translated shaking his head slightly. "And sharing is good, I'll eat anything. My mother says I am a garbage can for food."

He smiled back at her and took another glance around the restaurant.
"You know, I like places like this. My mother's a total snob, she won't even set foot in a restaurant unless it has been reviewed in the local paper." He smirked and played with the napkin on the table. "So, who would win in a fight to the death. Spiderman or Batman?"

Israel was trying her very best not to burst out laughing by placing her hand over her mouth, but wasn't being very successful when he translated the menu heading and then asked his extremely random question. Finally taking a deep breath, she was able to calm down enough to answer him.

"I don't know... Spiderman has the super powers, but Batman has all of those nifty gadgets. And frankly, I think Spiderman is kind of a wuss," she giggled. "So I'm going to go with Batman. What do you think?" she asked leaning forward a bit.

Giani grinned as she began to laugh. Mission complete, her earlier sadness seemed to have been erased. Well, at least as for now, as far as he could see it.
As the waitress approached he placed thier order and turned back to Is.
"I have to say I agree. I mean Batman is so much darker. Aond by day he is a millionaire. What's Peter Parker? A journalist ... Such a common profession for a super hero. It would be the first place I would look if I were a villian" He smiled warmly, looking into her striking green eyes. "I think Batman gets more women too. If I had to choose to be a superhero I would be Batman."

"Ah yes... he definitely is the James Bond of the super hero world," she grinned. "And I'm sure you would have no problems stepping in for him, especially with the perks he has," she said with a wink.

"So what made you think of that?" she asked, smiling brightly.

Giani smirked and moved back from his position leaning on the table as the waitress brought their pizza.
"It's a game my friend and I used to play. You choose two people and discuss who would win in a fight to the death. It's good fun."

Taking a slice of pizza he eased it away from the cheese and held it in his hands.
"What do you do for fun Israel? Other than drawing that is?"

"You mean besides drawing nude pictures of random new guys that have just arrived at Aquila?" she teased, reaching out to take a slice as well. She blew gently on it as she thought about it for a moment. Taking a small bite, she shrugged.

"I'm pretty typical and stick to the basics: music, reading, hanging out. Art really is my main thing. I love it all and never seem to get tired of it and it's always fun for me. But I guess that sounds a little pathetic," she asked, grinning sheepishly as she took another bite.

He laughed a little as he ate and listened to Is speak. So she really was an artist. Not just a student who admired art. This however he had already known, the way she approached her drawing, her unwavering concentration.
"Dolce, I am the son of two artists. I live art. Perhaps that makes me a little more pathetic. I don't even listen to music that often, well, not unless i am painting. Hanging out I do. As long as there is coffee and food involved of course."

He smiled and ate some more of the delicious pizza.
"One day I want to be able to get big gallery comissions like my father. How about you? Do you want to make art your life or do you have other plans?"

"To tell you the truth, Giani... I haven't really thought about it very much. I guess you could say I'm more of a here and now kind of girl. Vivendo per il minuto, as they say," she smiled, picking up another slice. She took another bite and thought on it for a moment.

"But yes... I do want to make my art my life," she smiled. "And if that makes us pathetic, then we can be pathetic together," she said, taking a sip of water.

"Very good. Though perhaps you mean momento?" He said, grinning at her almost perfect use of Italian. "And I have to agree. It is the only way to live. Those who only look to the future miss the present."

Finishing his last slice of pizza he looked out to the beach.
"How about we do a bit of collaborative work? Have you ever tried sand sculpture before?"
