Quizzes were nothing. Easy as easy could be. Of course, Sidron had no clue what the whole thing was going to be on but he had enough confidence in himself to ace it. He wasn't dumb after all.

Although being strapped into his chair was a bit disconcerting.

He began the first part of the quiz but oddly enough for some reason he just couldn't keep his eyes open. What was going on? Its not like he was exhausted or anything. Before he knew it he was waking up with his paper stuck to the side of his face.

The second section was a bit trickier. Some of the questions he was unsure of but he powered through them anyway. He was pretty sure a couple of them were trick questions.

This section was obviously written by those of Christmas town. And to add insult to injury they were playing some strange music. Luckily Sidron had perfected the art of tuning unwanted things out and he got through the section pretty easily.

Science section wasn't too bad. For some reason his chair decided to slid back a bit. Thankfully he was rather tall so he could still see his desk to do the appropriate task of this section.

The last part was about FEAR and magic. Sidron was an ace at these of course so this section was a breeze.

Finally once he had completed all the sections his chair let him go. He was handed a cookie which he pocketed to give to Amy later.

Aisha didn't exactly pride herself on her test taking ability. Even if she knew things, the testing atmosphere was always a bit stressful and this was her first major one in the school (that mattered).

The first section was handled smoothly enough. Questions on grammar and language seemed common sense, even while students around her fell asleep or were distracted. She simply turned up her headphones and tried to focus.

Math was surprisingly easy though she'd never really enjoyed math much. It made sense at least and she put it all together easily enough. The more complicated the problem the more time it took her but she felt good about it after finishing the section.

Unfortunately Aisha had a hard time with the next section. it wasn't the content but the badly sung christmas carol that was piercing through even the volume on her headphones.

The chairs were pissing her off. Not only was her's too far, she couldn't see or reach anything! Aisha stretched as much as she could but was beginning to worry about this whole thing being sabotaged!

Things just devolved from there. The last part was a bout magic and not being particular magical or skilled with her FEAR, she was a total waste.

Cookies didn't even make her feel better.

A quiz?? Keen chuckled softly and sat down at a desk wondering what kind of test would be offered here. She looked around before starting, noticing some weird stuff was going on. Uh oh.. maybe this would be a huge mistake.

First part, grammar and spelling. Not the good spelling either. Alas it was probably a good thing that Keen had been learning, she would need to go and meet with a certain teacher again to work on her speech more, but that was not for today. Today she was going to ace a quiz, and it was a bit remarkable that she was doing just that so far. She had no issues with this part and sped to the next section.

Math, again something she was good at. She worked through the section with ease, Add, Subtract... Fractions... it didn't matter she had all the answers. The Banshee sighed as she finished this section early and was able to ease her spine a bit before the next section started.

Silent... Night. Oh by all that was Fearful what the heck was this? This is not music, it is sheer torture. Keen thought the wailing of banshees was bad...? Oh, it must be Banshee's singing. The 5 Baine-SHE Band.. she had heard this group before, just not this loud! Erph.. well now she had messed up beyond finishing right, and had even missed the good questions. Dumb Geography..

Science! Keen started working her hands flying over the paper, and... Och, she had messed up... peppermint, everywhere.. she smelled like a candycane now. She groaned softly and brushed as much as she could away to finish some of the other work.

FEAR, that isn't bad... or it isn't when one is doing it live, and showing their skills. The paper on the other hand seemed to know she was not doing well, and darkened in shame. Well, sorry for being bad.. She mumbled and wrote away.

Finally she was done and she was granted a sugar cookie and medal. She lived that was important. She smiled a bit and left the room.

The white kitsune was pumped. Shiki bounded into the area, tails wagging, large ears flagged and attentive. He was good at quizzes, or thought he was at least.. until he saw there were a lot of other students in the room. This was not a one on one exercise. He gulped and his tails and ears sank down. Could he change his mind now?

Shiki sat down and took note of what the first test was going to be. Grammar and language... The kitsune panicked as soon as he saw it and his mind went blank. CAT... ack what was that word.. what was any word? What do you do...? ~Flatline..~ His head hit the desk and his eyes turned into little x's

Section two. Math. The kitsune boil's ears folded more and he found himself just staring blankly at the paper. He was usually so good at this, but his nerves were shot. What is for lunch today? He hoped it wasn't anything meat. Ick.. Maybe it wouldn't be anything icky, maybe.. maybe some sweet pea sprouts.. Oops.. tests being collected... Crud!!

Geography! YES!!
Shiki forgot to be nervous and his pen darted over the paper as if possessed of a mind of its own. "Oh Santa not there..." He smirked to himself as he kept writing, ignoring the hideous off-key singing filling the room. He knew this stuff. Finally he had done wonderful on a test round.

Science. He knew he was good at this too, and he settled in to show this stage what he could do, until a foxfire ended up darting across the room knocking everything to the floor. FOXFIRE!! The Kitsune boil was lost. Shiki started chasing the little guy around the room trying to capture it. He loved those things. Maybe this one could join his collection? He finally caught the foxfire and snuggled it as time ran out. Ooops..

Having given up the foxfire.. for now, Shiki sat down at a desk and picked up the last part of the test. He looked at the sheet and started to jot down answers in a neat meticulous hand. He was good at this stuff too, and he found himself just a tad caught off guard as his paper started to suffuse wish a pink glow. Was it blushing? Uh, yeah... okay then..

Time was now up. He found himself ejected from his chair and a sugar cookie pressed into his hand. Mmmm Yummy! He glanced at the foxfire he had been chasing and tried to tempt it to come with him, even as he took the medal and was gestured to leave.

"Psst... Here boy. Wanna come home with me?" Shiki crooned softly.

Jil had immense pride in her intelligence. To do badly would be a disgrace, but of course this school knew how to sabotage young minds. She wondered sometimes if learning was truly the aim here.

The first part of the test was straightforward enough. Language and grammar. Even though this wasn't her first language, she was able to focus enough to do an admirable job.

Xaejil should have been an ace on the math section but suddenly snow was falling, just around her seat, and she could see it from all angles, on all sides of her, and she was suddenly too distracted to finish her answers.

The exam got more idiotic as time went on. A pipe in front of her began to sing and she came across a word jumble in the middle of the quiz. Jil was seething when she realized time was up on that section and she'd been too annoyed to progress.

Science wasn't a particular strong point but it really didn't matter. Her science kit was smashed by a stray foxfire (which she shot a few beams after), rallying just enough time to scribble answers in without the work to support them.

By the time the exam was rounding out, she could barely concentrate with all the flurrying activity around her. Foxfires were rampant, it was snowing over random students, and everything in front of her on the pages of the quiz looked like gibberish.

This was terrible.

The next part of the cup was a quiz. Jarrod didn't really mind taking it but he didn't like being stuck to the chair. It wasn't easy to move and write this way. He just had to get used to it now. He stared at the white paper in front of him that was empty first but actually had questions on it now. What were they going to ask? Was it going to be hard? He had to start now and he wanted to be quick. He just hoped he knew or maybe even guessed most aswers correctly.

Section One: This part didn't look to difficult as it was just something easy looking about language. It wasn't easy for him at all when he finally started. It was nearly impossible for him to write anything and he was a angry at that that he also wrote everything wrong. He still hoped it wouldn't be to bad as he tried really hard and he did somehow go fast with this test. He hoped next part was going easier for him.

Section Two: The next part wasn't really good either. Math! No! He really hoped this part of the test was really sort but it probably wasn't. He also kept staring at the snow and not actually looking at the test. He wrote some random things while watching the snow fall. He last part of the test went a bit better so he hoped it was good enough.

Section Three: The question on this part of the quiz didn't seem to make alot of sense to Jarrod and he didn't really know what to write so he tried really hard to write down something that he hoped would be correct. He also tried to ignore the terrible singing but he wasn't very good at this. He was still done very quickly and was happy with his answers so it could be bad, right? He was just trying really really hard!

Section Four: Jarrod really liked this part of the test. He did make a few mistakes making his chair go back a little bit. It did make it harder for him to reach the table but he didn't really mind that much. He was already this far with the tests and he liked this one. He was sure it would score him some points. He did alright even with the table a bit away from him. He could do better but he was feeling okay.

Section Five: This part didn't make much sense just like the other one before but he at least knew what to do know. Fear and magic was something every student should know. He was doing fine with this test. He was a little bit disappointed he didn't do as great as he hoped and wanted but just only a little. The questions looked a bit harder than he thought they would be but maybe it was just him and he did great.

Jarrod was happy when the chair finally let him go. He hoped he didn't do to bad but he wasn't sure at all. He was glad it was over now. He was going to do something else next.

Despite snow being flung into his face, Gabby still managed to spell the word cat, because he was not an idiot. Also he loved snow, so that was quite refreshing.

For the math portion, Gabby used his well rehearsed method of choosing C for every answer. And he did pretty well! (This method had never failed him so far.)

The fact that Gabby managed through the geography section flawlessly should have been considered luck, but really he was just a very good listener. Even when the topic was absolute rubbish.

He was legitimately surprised at how well he'd done in the science section, and began to ponder whether that was not a subject he should pursue in earnest - but then he remembered how important math was to it, and promptly let it go.

But there was no surprise as Gabby flourished in the knowledge of Fear section - even as the test itself turned a soft pink, blushing due to how proud it was for having all of the right answers. He'd never seen a test blush, but if there was one person in this entire world who could manage to make a piece of paper blush - he was sure it was him.

And he was right.

As usual.

"How does one spell CAT?" Magda asked the test. "Why, with letters, of course!"

Math was a delightful subject, and she flourished as she answered all of the questions with care - unlike the previous section, which she'd failed horribly.

The third section was Magda's favorite to answer. It gave her a chance to stretch out her imagination! She answered the geography questions with such answers as Baulder Dell, the lake across the sky, and Somewhere over the Rainbow! These answers somehow got her at least a third of the way through before failing horribly, for which she was both surprised, and annoyed.

She wanted a new test. This one was faulty!

Magda managed to ace through the science portion for one very specific reason - and that reason's name was Maysy, to whom she'd have to thank once all of this was over.

Unfortunately, Maysy's intelligence only got her so far - so when Magda was left on her own to try and answer questions about Fear, she found herself completely stumped.

So, instead, she drew a lovely picture of a giant monstrous flower eating a pig, and hoped her message was conveyed appropriately.

It was not.

Curiouser and curiouser! Canon fidgeted underneath the harness, wondering what the assorted tubes were for. They were just out of reach of her arms, but the testers seemed to have forgotten her tail. She poked at the tubes experimentally with her stinger. When they didn't do anything interesting, Canon turned her attention to the test.

The first portion covered language and grammar. Basically, words. Canon could do words.
There were essay portions. She filled two whole pages with rambling observations comparing the Academy gnomes to the Christmas elves in about five minutes, and was penning a lengthy list of inquiries into what kind of poisonous plants or animals lived in or around Christmas when the test was forcibly sucked up by one of the tubes. Canon stuck her tail down the tube after it, but wasn't quick enough. And her tail got stuck. Hmmm.

Canon felt something hit her tail, and thankfully the gust of air popped her tail out of the tube like a cork from a champagne bottle. Impaled on her stinger was the second portion of the test! Excellent! And it looked like it was going to be math! Canon removed the book, smoothed out the area around the hole, and flipped through the book looking for the more interesting problems. She'd only solved a few when small flakes began falling all around her. What? Snow? Where was it coming from? Canon searched for the source, thinking there must be some sort of tube up above her seat. But when she craned her head to look, the source of the flakes changed. Now it was behind the seat? The harness was in the way, but Canon twisted about as best as she could, until she could look behind her. Again the source changed. From the direction of the table? She wriggled back to the front, and now the flakes were falling upward. What?! Thoroughly intrigued, Canon spent the rest of that portion tying herself into knots trying to find the source of the flakes. She'd solved some of the trickier equations before being distracted, but not enough for a good score.

The next part was Geography! Canon loved Geography! She managed to untie herself just enough to reach the table again. She'd managed to decipher a few of the prompts when the music began to play, and Canon visibly flinched. She looked up quizzically at the tube, then back to the test, then back to the tube. Was this some kind of music native to Christmas? Canon did her best to fill out answers on the test, until the tube started the song over again for the third time. She looked back up at the tube, and tried to tap it with her tail, but it was still tied in a pretzel know around the back of the chair.

"Don't you think that should sound more like this?" she asked, and began mimicking the sounds coming from the tube, but in the correct key. The singing stopped, and when Canon had finished the song, it picked up again. In the correct key! Canon smiled and returned to the test, only to hear the singing slide right back off into the stratosphere. Patiently, Canon corrected the singing tube again and again until it finally managed to sing the entire song beautifully. But when Canon turned back to the test, it was the next portion. Darn.

But at least it was something she adored! SCIENCE! It wasn't quite as easy to mix chemicals outside her body, but Canon quickly found her stride and breezed through the portion. Sadly, the desk did not allow her to keep any of the equipment at the end, though Canon did her best to hold onto the bunsen burner until the very end.

Canon ran into some trouble in the final portion since she didn't tend to think of using FEAR or magic in terms of words. With her, it was more about feeling. She attempted to illustrate some of the harder concepts with little doodles of herself with captions as to what she was doing. When she utilized FEAR to mix new types of poisons, it was like two waves colliding into each other all 'SPLOOSH!', and then they become a whirlpool 'NYOOOOM!', and she can direct the energy from that whirlpool into the tip of her stinger and 'BAM!' into her enemy!

Riyo looked... Surprisingly less upset compared to the first trial as she walked back into the festive stadium. Her head held slightly higher than usual, it was anyone's guess what had happened between then and now, but it could've been due to a handful of things. 1. The quiz, Riyo knew, was the event she would excel in. If one thing could be said about the bakeneko, it was that she was smarter than the average house cat. 2. Heart to heart's helped everyone, and she'd received a pretty decent one from another feline companion in the competition.

Chest puffed, she marched towards the seating arrangements, following her seating elf with ample space between them. She didn't like his smile, though, she understood the reason for it just as soon as her butt was in the cushy seat.

Small beads of sweat formed as the harness trapped her. Yes, trapped. There could be no other word. This... Wasn't going to turn into a dangerous amusement park ride was it? Her eyes glanced from the tube to the folder and back, reaching (emphasis on that word) for her pen as the announcement was made. It was time.

The first part of the test was simple. Incredibly simple. Riyo read so many books she might as well be considered a dictionary at this point. Her candy cane pen darted across the folder like some minty road runner. Yes. This was going fantastically.

Until the math showed up. The feline couldn't say she was terrible at math. She understood formulas but... Without a calculator things proved more than a little difficult. As a small drop of white fell on her paper and melted, the ghoul's brow furrowed. She looked up at the tube just in time to see it spew the first flurry of snow. "Oh." Now the tube made sense. This couldn't just be an ordinary test, could it? Figured... Riyo grumbled and forced herself to look back at the paper. Straight-lipped and biting her tongue, she tried to scribble out the math problems at the side and figure them out. Hey, your brain was supposed to function better at cooler temperatures, right? Maybe they were doing her a favor.

Just as she reached the geography section, her pen skirted across the paper with a screech. The horrid sound of an off-key singer filled her sensitive ears, and it looked like she might be in physical pain. "What the ******** is this talking about?" She hissed as she tried to read the questions again and again. This, at least, somewhat appealed to her skills of common sense. If I was a shitty little elf what would I think this would be? Yeah, that worked. Alright.

Then, suddenly, there were tubes. Tubes, chemicals, and fire. She was good at fires. Her cooking skills proved that! Yes, glorious! Fascinating! She was consumed with the feeling of power! AHAHAHAHA... Though still strapped down to this ridiculously soft chair. Jack damn, maybe she should attend school in Christmas Town instead.

FEAR, however, might've been one of her weak points. Her ears folded as she looked at the questions over magic, realizing that she should know better, yet... Not. It was a slightly unsatisfying way to finish up a test that had gone so well so far, but she managed.

Throwing down her pen as she managed to answer the last question, the ghoul let out a sigh of relief. The chair's restraints released her, and she stood. Riyo... Might've accepted her reward a little more gracefully this time, and though tempted to bean another elf with the stupid sugar cookie, she instead saved it for a friend.

Akubi knew how to talk to people, usually pretty well. Talking got him into (but also usually out of) trouble. As he filled out the answers he just put on a smug little smile.

Math was a bit of an issue, he got semi distracted thinking about food. Food was important. Wait there was a test in front of him maybe he should focus on that instead. Akubi tried to buckle down and focus on the math problems...

There was music. Terrible music. Music he didn't want to hear. He tried to focus as best as he could but it may as well have been pointless.

He wasn't sure what he did wrong, but the next thing he knew his desk was covered in peppermint foam. It smelled pretty stringant, but mostly harmless. He tried to shove some of the foam off to the side so he could have better access to his work space.

Ehm... Wait he knew these answers ... Maybe... naps were part of it right? Had to regain strength somehow...

Akubi managed what he could and he was proud of that. Maybe he should pay better attention in class from now on...

Nah.

Lattice read almost constantly, and so answering the grammar questions only really gave her a couple of issues here and there, but for the most part she knew what she was doing.

She was a precise sort of ghoul, she knew her numbers and equations fairly well, and what she didn't know? She made a pretty decent guess at it until she was sure the right answer happened (or didn't on occassion).

There was some ... sound happening. She refused to acknowledge it as music. She tried to pretend she could hear Petro singing over that sound to try and mask it, but it was too strong. Why. WHYYYY. Lattice tried to go on stalwartly.

Her precise personality came into play again as she followed directions and completed the science portion with no issue at all, at least there were no nasty tricks involved that she could ascertain.

She wrote out her answer as best as she could. It was hard to describe something thath appened almost by second nature when endangered. Lattice hoped her answer would suffice.

Released at last she fled the desk with a small sigh of relief.

The plush chairs were comfortable as the black cat sat down wiggling in it for a moment, it would have been better if she could have napped in it but she couldn’t afford to sleep though the next event despite the largest groan of disapproval she gave when she heard it was a quiz. Quizzes were not fun, they were boring and it meant for her recall thing she was suppose to have learned in class. To say that she paid attention would be lying, most of the time she fell asleep, or daydream or maybe Kier was busy thinking of some new song. It was always something.

She sat there patiently, the long silky tail swooshing back and forth, curling occasionally around before going back until the harness dropped down pinning her there permanently, there was of course a I am not amused look on her face. Pen and paper appeared and it was time to start.
First up, grammar and language, Kier stared, fidgeting in her seat as she made her best attempt at reading each question carefully. A lot of words, a lot of having to pay attention, but her only saving grace was that words were a little bit like lyrics. A few times, if someone close had paid attention, they would have heard her mumbling some of what she read as a song before chewing on the end of her pen. When she was done she flipped it over, feeling marginally ok about most of her answers. There were a few guesses but not the worse she could have scrambled together.

Next was math, numbers, so many nonsensical numbers Kier stared at the portion of the test with a dismal look before pushing her pen around. There was even a brief moment of her doodling off to the side before attempting the first series of math equations. Everything had some sort of show of work of her attempting to come to some answer but most of it was her guessing how it was suppose to go, or at least guessing which number went where. The word problems ended up with a little story at the end before she gave a mathematical answer.

Next, geography, not entirely the worse subject Kier knew about, it at least had pictures to some extent like the little lined maps that you could doodle little dots, stars, and on occasion little pawprints. The only real hard part was having to spell everything and trying to pronounce some of the weird titles and names of things, things that if Kier had her way of spelling would be totally different then what they were. For example all those imaginary sounding words like ph sounding like f’s who decided that was a good thing to start with? Why not just use the f in the first place? There was also the horrible music they were playing over the speaker, it sounded like mewling creatures fighting over a sock, even flattening her ears she couldn’t get rid of it.

Next science as the familiar set of test tubes and things appeared on the desk, which for a moment seemed further away than the last couple sections. Science was the worse subject for Kier next to math, however, science was worse because not only did you have to know numbers and do math but you had to horribly pay attention and remember too many facts that she had no interest in doing. There was no confidence from the black cat when she finished off the section.

Last section, Kier was so excited, mostly because that meant she could get out of the chair and as far away from the horribly music. Magic and fear, it was one of the easier classes on the campus mostly because it meant something in the gym and far less time sitting in a chair staring at paper which was what she was doing now. After completing it she noticed the pages turn a slight shad of pink in an adorable manner.

When she finished she slammed the pencil down and as soon as the harness lifted she bolted out, barely taking the time to grab her medal and cookie.
