Zander took a deep breathe and analyzed the situation that was presenting itself. He had arrived at the school dance via a mysterious Abra's teleportation technique and before he even had a chance to get his groove on, the academy was being attacked? Boy, the life of a rocket! Zander pondered over these events as he filled out the Secret Santa slip and turned it in.
[Secret Santa]
[Name: Zander Myst Lance ]
[ ] Healing Item [ ] PokeBall [ ] Held Item [ ] TM [x ] Key Item Now that the slip had been taken care of, Zander asserted his attention to the more dire matter. He seemed to be presented with three choices depending on where he thought his and his Pokemon's skill were at. Zander had only managed to befriend his Cottonee, Tony, so Zander's team consisted of himself and Tony. Zander thought he would enjoy taking the hard route, but he knew he was too weak. Zander and Tony had just started their journey and it would be unwise to end it due to arrogance. Even the normal path seemed to be too much at Zander's current state. Zander walked towards the easy path. Zander could handle this much without being a burden to others. He wanted to become stronger, and to become stronger, you have to start off where you are able to grow freely. Zander glanced at the other children that had come to this path. They looked like interesting people. Zander looked towards the riff and prepared himself for the events that were to unfold.

Alice had found herself slightly flustered at Shiloh's initial comments, and it'd only gotten worse as he followed up. She hadn't... well, she'd certainly never thought of herself in that light. Though she did agree it was lucky she got to interact with Pokemon, something she wouldn't have gotten to do in her old life.
But before she could respond, the Arena shook, the lights flickered, and reality itself appeared to fall apart. What... what was this place? She could almost hear Lankford and the other researchers chattering excitedly over the chance to look at the circuits and technology behind this Arena, but she was more concerned with the "why" of the world around her. She noted as Professor Strominoff and what she had to assume were the other professors explained the situation, and the options available to them. She'd managed to give Shiloh a nod as he left (a less polite option than she would have liked, but this was a bit of a crisis, and bit her lip thoughtfully. The route with the sunny disposition and the cheerful music was right out; as interesting as that was, she wasn't exactly the nurturing type. The museum... seemed interesting, but she wasn't certain about what to do there.
Which left the route her Professor had introduced. Straightforward, admittedly, but dangerous. Was Alice strong? Perhaps. She'd survived the Island so far without losing anyone, seeing numerous strange sights, and even facing down a Legendary, so perhaps. But what truly locked in her position was the fact that so few people went towards the door. A girl with interesting hair, and two boys (one who'd been particularly loud, and the other who hadn't spoken at all). The more people that went that direction, the better chance that someone would make their way through it. Quickly recalling both her Pokemon (fortunately before Maddie could take a bite out of Argyle's hair), Alice took off towards the white door.

>Stay safe!< Lucy called as Takeshi and his trainer left. Oh, but would she ever manage a proper conversation? Between her trainer's social anxieties and... whatever was going on, would she EVER make some kind of connection? With a cheerful squeak, she'd leap off the table and back on her trainer's shoulder
Meanwhile, Alistair had bigger problems than social niceties. Like what he was supposed to do here. They were under attack? And they weren't even properly repelling the invaders? The red-head hung back while the other students made their decisions; he was the sort to think and overthink. He wouldn't have even dreamed of going down that last route; the woman had classified it as "easy", and that wasn't any way to get strong. His natural inclination was towards the hardest path, the one introduced by the man with the strange accent. It'd be a way to make a name for himself, certainly. But... he needed to take things carefully. He couldn't afford to risk his place at the Academy or his new Pokemon. With quiet focus, Alistair took the middle route.

The scene of a lively daycare's living room filled with baby Pokemon playing Duck, Duck, Zangoose was disrupted and changed, and was replaced with pure white with the occasional wild static patch on the floor. The Head Nurse Blissey had approached Poppy and Shinx, and gave them a little talk and freed them of their duty to the path, a satisfying end to their mission. A beam of light hit them and they faded from the white, only to reappear in the Dance Hall. Blinking the bright light from her eyes, Poppy glances down to make sure that Shinx was still with her, and then checks that the items she received in the Mirage Arena were still in her pack. Strangely enough, they were. Now her next duty was to report to a teacher, which she looks about for. Seems as though she is the first student back, which is only to be expected considering she was on the easiest path.
Alex had been returned to the room after a last fairwell from Blissey. He'd forgotten that everything was just part of the Mirage Arena, an illusion. Everything felt so real, and he'd even kept some items from it. It was truly a strange experience, but he'd helped the system, or whatever it was called, readjust. He wasn't the first back, but each person's experience would likely still be a unique one. They all did their part in making sure things were working fine again. Regardless, not it was time to report back.
The Dance Hall seemed empty aside from herself and another student who had go onto the easy path with her, so she could only assume that the professors were fighting with the rest. That meant that she had to wait, so rather than stand and wait in silence, she turns towards Alex and heads towards him. Shinx darts around her feet impatiently, but since he's not trying to trip her up she doesn't pay him much mind. "Hello. Did you manage to stop any outsiders from disrupting or stealing from our section of the Arena?"
While he was awaiting what to do next, a fellow trainer approached him. She must have taken the same route as he had. She also had an electric type pokemon with her. Interesting... "I didn't see any enemy trainers, but the arena seemed to be malfunctioning while I was in it. It seemed that helping out the pokemon with their problems also helped the arena become more stable." He didn't know the specifics, but that's what he got out of the experience. He then remembered what Hiro said, and decided to introduce himself before continuing."My name's Alex Trevell, by the way. Nice to meet you." He held his hand up with a smile.
Dipping her head in acknowledgement, her expression as impassive as ever, she glances down when Shinx runs over her feet and darts around Alex's legs. "That was part of the mission, and our efforts did serve to better stabilize it so we have completed it to the best of our abilities." Turning her attention back up to him, she raises her to mimic him but doesn't smile. Who knows if she even can smile.
"I am Poppy Polaris of Trickster class. Did you get any items during the mission? I managed to get a Persim Berry and a Lava Cookie, but I am unsure how they were made and how we still have them with us now. For that matter, I am also unsure of how successful any of our enemies would be trying to kidnap the Pokemon in the arena, as they are all crafted data." Was it even possible that the malfunctions would be making things more real in the Arena, or at least make it possible to keep them after leaving? There isn't enough evidence to go off so she isn't making any assumptions about it yet.
"Yes, I got a few, myself. It's pretty odd that they still hold up even outside the arena and can be used like normal. Then again, the training battles fought to get in involve pokemon that can attack and damage our pokemon, so the data is pretty solid." It sounded like something out of a sci-fi show, but here the evidence was at this very school. "All I can guess is that it's a similar process to how pokemon are stored as energy, but instead of storing energy, the arena's energy is turned into pokemon, items, and an environment. Can't imagine how much power is needed to even do something like that, though."
Hiro had no clue why it happen, how it happen, but it did. One moment they were delighting in victory and having fixed the drainage system and was ready for their next challenge and after that ...they were literally drop through a hole in the ground which led them back to ....the dance hall.
The boy had no clue what to make of it as he splashes down heavily on the ground from some place in the air. His wet hair and clothing didn't help anything, and the fact that he looked like a drown rat was not how a hero was suppose to return.
The victory that he gain was further disrupted when Blight landed on his head as she pushes him flat. His pride was completely squashed flat. The only thing he could take from this was the fact that at least only two people saw it as he pushes her off himself to see that only one boy and one girl was back.
It could be worst ...so much worst.
And then ...he sneezed. Blight would look at him in shock. She slid off him to the floor and immediately took off as she started to look for something to warm him up ...a method to heal him as she shouted out loudly.
There was a reason she was asking if he had obtained any items and offered the information of what she had received. "Did you receive any berries? If you have a Pokelot like mine in the Crater, then you will need to plant berries for food for any Pokemon that you store there. It will be more useful to plant it for food then use it in battle, depending on which berry you have." Though Alex's Pokelot was in the forest and had plenty of food for his Pokemon and his Bluk berry would serve no use in battle, it didn't hurt to share advice with her fellow student.
The arrival of a soaking wet boy pulls her attention over to Hiro and his Bulbasaur. Though Poppy didn't think anything of him because of his graceless entrance, Shinx was snickering at her feet until the cute Bulbasaur started running around and calling for a doctor. When he trots towards her, Poppy glances towards Alex before heading over towards Hiro. "Welcome back, congratulations on completing your mission."
Shinx trots after Blight, fangs flashing in a sharp grin. >What's the matter, bloomer? Does your human have a terrible disease that will kill him if he doesn't get warmed up quick?< He was mostly just messing around at this point, keeping pace with her. Living up to his naughty nature, he doesn't try and help her just yet, maybe if she asks him.
Blight looks over at the Shinx and actually snorted at the name. Though she let him completely finish running his mouth before she retorted back.
(Okay, Thunder kitten, unless you know where a doctor is, go annoy someone else. I don't have time to play with you)
Blight snaps as Hiro sneezes again and the Pokemon starts looking for a bathroom. Maybe if she shoved him underneath a dryer they can still avoid him getting sick.
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind if I end up getting a less...self-sustaining pokelot. Have a bluk berry and mulch, so I'll be able to possibly stock up more or the future." He could also plant the berry in the mulch should the need arise. A bluk berry was good food because it didn't have any other uses. He then looked over to see a very soaked Hiro. Knowing him he probably took on the hardest path.
He walked over to Hiro as well. "Welcome back, Hiro." He looked cold, so he sent out Raiden. "Can you prep a Flame Burst? Don't shoot it, just let them warm up and dry off a bit." Raiden looked over, nodding and opening his mouth, almost like a mini heater.
As the clock struck the hour, students regardless of where they had been mere moments ago, would find themselves back in the Dance Hall. The three doors had disappeared from the room, replaced by once massive ominous set of double doors. Standing in front of them was Professor Strominoff, hands resting in his voluminous sleeves "Time be coming for faheenal bahttle. Enemies be going, but vorse sing being left behind" He said oin his odd accent, gesturing towards the door behind him "Ahcademy keeping somesing....old....very old....is very mad. Is fit throwing" He went on, shrugging as if speaking of an angry child "Professors being busy. Students handle da? Is being easy if vorking togezer you be!" Strominoff said, clapping his hands together.
So apparently that was their new mission. Go through the door, work together, and fight whatever is on the other side! [For this battle students will be able to use as many Pokemon at a single time as they want. That means all of them if you so choose. Please select which Pokemon you will be using when you enter the room.]
Many more arrived in the room with them, along with a professor. The doors that led to their individual routes were now gone, with a new set of doors, and a new path. From what he got from the professor's thick accent, this would be the final battle, and they'd all need to work together against whatever lay inside. Alex sent his second pokemon out. "Looks like it's time to finish things." Raiden ceased his fire heating, and he and Pansear followed Alex as he walked through the pair of doors.
