Well, that wasn't very long at all, concerning how fast he could fall asleep. Zephyr took another glance toward the window before letting out a loud, prolonged yawn. Mmm, he was still pretty tired despite the nap... Maybe he could spend the night? After all, Beta could still be playing his music and locked the door for all he knew. It would be impossible to get into the dorm if Beta couldn't hear him and he didn't want to race off to the main office to ask for help. He huffed out a breath and nodded.
"Yeah, I think I'll take you up on that offer." He said, smiling. "Do you have a spare bed for me to crash on? I could stay here on the couch if you don't. It's pretty comfortable."

“No spare bed, no. Sorry.” Decran dumped the bowl into the small sink, leaving it for later to clean up. “You’re more than welcome to share my bed. It’s plenty big enough for the two of us. But if you’d rather stay on the couch…” He shrugged and moved over to his bedroom door. “It’s just...it’s comfy for a nap that lasts an hour or two and for sitting but...spend the whole night on it and you’ll wake up with a sore neck.” He rolled his shoulders and eyed the couch. “I have an extra pillow and blanket you can borrow. But...I don’t bite, ya know.” He gave a small wink before opening the door to his bedroom and slipped inside.

Zephyr's shoulders arched as Decran suggested sharing his bed. W-what, he had to be joking! How could two people share a bed during a sleepover and not feel awkward about it? Decran made it seem so normal, so simple. Who did he think he was? Zephyr scooted toward the back of the couch and fought the urge to pull his knees up with him in embarrassment, only to blush further when Decran winked at him and disappeared behind the bedroom door. Was that teasing? Joking? Maybe? No? The Fallen heaved a breath and knocked on the door.
"I... Don't want a sore neck!" He called, immediately retracting his hand and placing it firmly at his side again. "I mean, uh, you really don't mind sharing? ... Beta and I never did things like this so I'm new to this whole idea."

Decran couldn’t help but let a small chuckle escape as he chucked off his shoes and shirt, leaving him just in his shorts. When he opened the door, he arched an eyebrow and tilted his head. “I would have offered if I minded.” He took a moment to scratch at his chest. “It’s just the most comfortable place in my dorm room.” Decran moved to open the door a bit more, stepping to the side to allow Zephyr to come in. “If it bothers you so much...I can take the couch and you can have the bed, hm?”

Zephyr's first instinct was to cover his eyes with his arm as soon as the door was opened, but with a staggering amount of willpower, the Fallen managed to keep his arms at his sides. He made eye contact with Decran and kept it there, though, and still looked nervous. There was just something odd about being in the same bed with someone else that made him shake, but he couldn't pin-point why. They were both boys, it wasn't like he was going to be shocked by anything if anything happened... He took a breath.
"No, no. We can share. I don't want you to leave your bedroom just because I'm here." He said, shaking his head and giving his shoulders a roll. "... Do you have some pajamas I can borrow?"

Decran chuckled and moved over to his dresser. Pulling open a drawer, he shifted through several things before finally pulling out a pair of pajama pants and a top to go with them. He rarely wore them, much preferring to sleep in either just pants or shorts. He didn’t like the way a shirt felt when he was under the covers. Turning, he held them out for Zephyr and nodded towards the door on the opposite side of the room. “The bathroom’s there. You can change and do whatever else you need to do.”

Zephyr was quick to nab the pajamas from Decran and nod on his way toward the bathroom. However, he only allowed himself to breathe when the door was safely closed behind him and he could see himself clearly in the mirror. Oh, Nine, why was he so nervous? Decran was only a friend, right? There wasn't anything between them, why would there be? This was just a sleepover between friends, buddies, pals, comrades, and any other synonym he could think of off the top of his head. He was letting his awkwardness get to him, he had to cool down.
The Fallen bent over the sink and splashed water on his face before changing into the pajamas he'd been given. They were very comfortable and cottony, just how he liked them, even if the buttons on the front had been a little too fiddly. However, the fact that it wasn't very wrinkled made him think that it hadn't been worn very often. Maybe Imps didn't wear shirts to bed because of the fluff on their necks? He pondered the thought as he gathered his clothes and moved to join Decran back in his room.
"Alright, I think I'm all set." He said, placing his clothes neatly by the door. "What now? Do you just want to go to sleep?"

Decran glanced up from his position on the bed — leaned back against the headboard, book in hand — and blinked. “Uhm, well, that’s what one usually does when they go to bed?” He raised an eyebrow, a small smirk curling up the corners of his lips. “Unless you have something else in mind or planned?” Decran lifted the book up. “I’m only teasing. I usually read a little bit before bed. You could grab a book, if you wanted. Or...we could talk more? Or sleep. Sleep is fine too.”

Zephyr's mouth immediately twisted and a blush crossed his cheeks. Where was Decran's mind, the gutter? The Fallen could only bring himself to huff and glance toward the bookshelf. Hm, reading a book did sound appealing. What did Decran have settled in these shelves?
He hovered toward the shelf quietly and sifted through the titles until something caught his eye, which is when he moved to look at the bed again. Well, he had a book, he had pajamas on, and he was tired... All the was left to do was crawl into bed.
"What are you reading?" He asked, the words slipping out like a sigh as he simmered into the space next to Decran.

Decran gave a small, genuine smile as Zephyr turned and went to fetch a book from the shelf. For some reason, he liked teasing Zeph. And he most definitely liked seeing that blush on his cheeks. When Zephyr came back into the room, Decran averted his gaze and put his nose back into his book as Zeph settled down onto the bed. At the question, Decran blinked and stared at the pages of the book for a moment. He’d forgotten what he was reading, mind lost in other things. “I uh…” He closed his book, being sure to keep track of his current spot, and looked at the front cover. “The Goblet of Secrets.” He glanced up to Zephyr and shrugged. “Have you read it, yet?”

The Fallen wiggled into a comfortable position and sucked a breath in through his nose. The bed was pretty soft and the pillows were just the right amount of firmness for his neck. It was kind of funny how Decran's room was perfectly comfortable for him, just like his own room was. It made him think that the universe was accommodating him in some way, as weird as it sounded. He puckered his lips.
"No, actually, I haven't. What's it about?" He replied, nudging closer to Decran so he could peer at the pages. "Sounds like some kind of royal mystery with the words goblet and secrets."

Decran raised an eyebrow as Zephyr leaned in closer. “It’s about wizards, actually. A bunch of different races gather at a school for wizards and grand adventures happen between the main characters. It’s one of my favorite book series.” Decran yawned slightly, the little bit of reading he’d gotten done already doing its job. “There are a few books before it. I have them if you’re ever interested in reading them.” He glanced to the book in Zephyr’s hand and pointed. “What’d you pick out?”

An adventure story about a school for wizards? Zephyr tilted his head at the thought. He felt like he'd heard of a story like that somewhere, but he hadn't thought of picking it up for one reason or another. Hm, well, it would be on his list for when he needed a new series to dive into. It sounded interesting enough.
He shifted his gaze to the book he'd taken from the shelf and peered at the title. Believe it or not, he'd taken the book at face value instead of bothering to look at the title and found himself blushing. While the book had looked interesting, he'd managed to pick a thesaurus instead of a novel. The Fallen fluttered his wings and laughed.
"Uhh, I just realized that I didn't pick a novel at all." He said, yawning. "... Must be that kind of tired. Ha-ha..."

Decran blinked, slightly stunned, when Zephyr told him what the book was. Then he couldn’t help it, a small chuckle escaped as he marked his place in the book and closed it. “We can sleep now, if you want. I’m tired enough.” As if on cue, Decran yawned and stretched his arms up over his head. He placed his book on his bedside table before shifting and settling down into bed. Decran rolled over onto his side, facing Zephyr, and propped his head up on his hand. “So, sleep or not?”

Zephyr stretched and took a long breath in. Yeah, sleep sounded pretty good right now, even if he'd only just woken from a nap a few minutes ago. The Fallen watched Decran shuffle under the covers and slowly blinked, as though processing the motion of the boy next to him, and eventually wiggled under the covers himself. He couldn't help but sigh as his head met the pillow and smiled as it sunk. So soft, so warm... Beds were the best.
"Mm, yeah, sleep sounds good." He yawned, his eyelids limply settling just enough so he could see Decran in front of him. "... I'll see you in the morning, Decran. Sleep well."
