Remy didn't know who any of these pae were, so he was still having a hard time imagining it, he just smiled and nodded like he understood. "Yeah, I'm a little while into the jungle," he said, pointing in the direction he had come from. A proud smirk crossed his face as he noticed her eyes stop on his tail, "You like?" He asked her. He knew his tail was different since neither of his parents had one, but it wasn't something he had any insecurities with.

He did live close! The thought perked her up further. But what he said next made her whole face turn red.
Busted.
"Um, well, I mean. It's cool. I guess." Her blue eyes flicked away in embarrassment as she tried to play off her interest. But they only wandered back. "I-is it...is it soft?" Wolfs Heart XD she's a little tsundere

Remy noticed how embarassed his comment had made Soliel, oops. He didn't know what to say now, but thankfully she spoke up. Although, she didn't sound interested at all now. Maybe he had just misunderstood or something. Now he was the one embarassed. "Oh, well..." He was suddenly self conscious, tucking his tail beneath him. However, the tail popped right back up in all of its fluffy glory with her next question. "Oh yes, it is very soft." Maybe not as soft as his sister's, but who had time for all that grooming crap anyways?

Her eyes widened slightly when the tail poofed back up into her view, a bit of excitement flickering within them. He confirmed that it was soft, and a hand twitched in response to thinking about petting it.
But wouldn't that be rude? It's not like it was normal to ask to touch a pae one just met. But he said it was soft! "I don't know anyone with soft tails. Apparently I have an aunt and uncle who do, but I've never met them." Her parents said she met them as a toddler, though memories from back then were fuzzy. Who honestly remembered really anything from when they were a baby? "Does your whole family have them?" Or he might be really special like her sister Cressy. "I'm sorta...normalish." This was said with a touch of disdain for herself. As she spoke she wiggled her normal feet, not hooved like Siofra's. She didn't have leaves like her nephew or antennae like her sister. She was so boring in comparison!

"Me neither." He said in response to her not knowing anyone with tails. "I mean, except for my brother and sister, but my parents don't have them. Dad says there isn't any on his side either." Remy shrugged his shoulders, it was somewhat of a mystery to why they had these features. The only explanation was that it might be related to something that had happened to his mom ages ago. "Really? Who is your aunt and uncle?" His head tilted with his curiosity that there might be others like him and his siblings. Even stranger that they were related to this girl. "Hey, normal is totally cool!" He said with a smile, nudging the girl playfully with his hand. He didn't want her to be down on herself, she was beautiful after all, even if her tail wasn't fluffy, but he couldn't say that.

She nodded quickly in understanding, knowing exactly what he meant. Her sister Cressida had really strange traits that no one else had or could really explain.
The thought of Cressy having furry ears and a tail though almost made her laugh. A grin still snuck out onto her face. "Yeah! Um, Uncle Yuki and Aunt Malloren. And they look like pae who are cats." She kept the information tucked away just in case she ever saw them in a family reunion or out and about. Her parents always instilled how important family was. As of late though, the only cats she had run into were the occasional jungle cat.
At his playful nudge, Soliel giggled and returned the nudge back with a gentle elbow bump. "Oh really? You wouldn't think I'd look better with saaaayyyy...fins for hands?" She joked while waggling her fingers.

"Oh..." He responded thoughtfully. He didn't know who they were either. Of course he didn't know them, he didn't know anyone else with fluffy tails, but he had still wondered if they would be names either of his parents had mentioned before. Remy's nose crinkled up in dramatic disgust at the mention of fins for hands. "Nah, I don't think it would suit you at all," he laughed. Remy tried to think of some sort of crazy feature he could suggest for her. He was stuck though, she was perfect the way she was. "You could have branches coming out of your ears... You could hang stuff on it, very practical." He was just trying to be silly now.

Maybe furry tailed pae were more common than she thought? That was a peculiar idea. It didn't make her any less intrigued about Remy's tail though.
At his 'suggestion' she grinned broadly and put her hands to her ears with her fingers stuck out, like they were her makeshift branches. "I think I could rock the look. Though I'd be scared someone would think I was a deer and try to make me dinner!" She laughed at the idea, being the hunted instead of the hunter.
The talk of family reminded her of why she had come, which reminded her of the time. She couldn't stay much longer, but didn't really want to leave. "Speaking of dinner...maybe...one day you'd want to come over to my place for it? My moms a vegetarian, and my sister loves meat, so we always have a lot of different food."

"Yeah, that could be a big problem," Remy agreed, laughing the whole time. He paused, looking out over the water, remembering why they had met. Remy smiled at her invitation, she sure spoke his language with all this talk of food. It was true that Remy often had a one track mind when it came to food, but her company had been just as satisfying as the sugared fruit. Remy didn't want her to get the wrong idea. "You know, there doesn't have to be food involved for us to be friends." He would come to see her even if she wasn't serving food.

She nodded in agreement as she laughed with him. Big problem would be an understatement, there were so many skilled hunters in the jungle she'd be a goner for sure!
But there was a following word that got her attention more than the others, causing her to perk up a bit. He said friends. She warmly blushed, and for a moment she forgot to speak. He really wanted to be friends? She didn't have many.
Or any.
The demoness had never been lonely, constantly surrounded by her family. And she was friends with them, but they were friends-family. Not friends friends. There was a difference.
Wait a minute, words! She should respond to him rather than just looking like a dummy! "Oh, well yeah. But you just seemed to like the treats so much, I thought you'd want more." She tried to play off her surprise, quickly regaining her smile. "We could just hang out sometime. Or whatever. Which ever is most convenient."

"Mm mm, yes I did," he agreed, avoiding looking at the basket, but his mouth was watering just to be reminded about the treats. He had just gotten finished telling her that food wasn't important though. Focus, Remy. He laughed again, whatever was most convenient. "Well I guess I could just stop by sometime. It's not like you live underwater, right?" He teased her. "And then whatever happens, happens."

And whatever happens, happens.
Bluuuusshhhh. Of course he didn't mean it the way she suddenly thought -maybe touching his big fluffy tail- but she still thought it nonetheless. "Not unless I do sprout fins!" She joked back, grinning ear to ear.
Scootching back a little then to make room between them, she dipped a finger into the sand to make an 'x'. "So if this is us here..." She moved up a little and made a line. "This is the jungle start. My home is about here." Soliel moved up even further to make a circle. "Just south of the big clearing. We have a house up in a big tree, you can't mistake it when you see it." It had to be big. After all, it had her parents, herself and two sisters all at once. Then of course whenever family visited like her brothers, it became quite the full household. "Where on here do you live?"

Remy's eyes widened, "it could happen." He wouldn't dismiss the possibility, especially after watching Sirius come to life when he was once an action figure.
He looked at the crude sand drawing, pausing to comprehend where her home was. "Ok..." He said thoughtfully. Remy traced a finger through the sand, going a different direction from where they were now than her home was. His finger paused. "It's a little cottage, with a pretty big garden in front of it." It didn't seem like they were horribly far away from each other. "You're welcome any time, I'm sure." He said with a grin.

She watched intently as he made another mark in the sand. He didn't look far away at all! The demon stared at it for a moment to engrave it into her memory. "That sounds really nice." A cozy place to live. "I'll have to see it sometime for myself though, just to be sure." She grinned back, happy about the thought of dropping by. She couldn't wait to tell Siofra all about today.
Her blue eyes flicked to the sky and then the water before the grin was replaced with a sigh. "I should get going though...I don't want to get back too late." As much as she'd rather stay and talk to her new friend. Guardians, time was so unfair sometimes. She moved to open up her basket. "But...one more treat before I leave?"

Remy nodded his head a bit solemnly. He understood she had to go, but that didn't mean he liked it. Though it was probably a good idea for him to head home soon as well. If he was out much longer, his family would probably start to worry as well.
The boy perked up at the mention of a treat, and with a small smile responded, "sure, maybe an apple this time." Food aside, this had been fun getting out and seeing someone new, and he truly planned on seeing her again soon.
