This indigo coated mare has remained eternally faithful and loyal to her mate, even when she could not remember him or who she was. Though some of her memories remain lost even as many others have returned, this mare has never spoken of her family beyond the one she has forged with her mate.
Once a wanderer in this land with no memory of her homeland, love or family, Whistle has recently returned to herself. Memories restored, and in the company of her mate and son, Whistle is found! Now building a new home in this new land, she still tends to wander and likes/wants to meet some of the natives. She has a wind son, a Uni son, and missing children still to come to this land.. But any breed (barring those that would do her harm) is welcome to cross her path. Families are also welcome. Whistle is also a strong mothering figure, she would (and has) gladly adopt wandering children!
In this new land Whistle and Ballad have not had much luck with children of their own. Their only foals born in Soquili were stolen from them by a Skinwalker. Doted on by her sire in her youth, she has a deep bond with him to this day. Overjoyed at the arrival of her two half-sisters, Shara is yet again a stranger to her half brother. (Aureate has terrible luck with his sons.)
As the older sister, Kaishara Immareska has a bit more of a 'leadership' quality about her. She is most definitely an extrovert, strongly interested in the stories and views of others. The bigger the group and more lively the company, the more excited and sociable Kaishara becomes. She's a true 'social butterfly' in this sense, but never loses her sense of decorum. Impulsive, she loves striking up conversations or even singing to all sorts of characters.
Though a dreamer -as anyone near her father is wont to be- Kaishara loves facts. She's realisitic and sensible, pays strong attention to details, follows the rules and considers all possibilities when in a bind or forced to make a decision. She likes knowing details and following a plan -if there is one- but can improvise on the spot. (Especially when dancing or singing is concerned.)
Though not as much of a daredevil as her father, Kaishara does like her aerial stunts and enjoys a good race now and again. Challenges are met head on, she's not going to let anyone beat her without giving it her best! This goes with games of the heart as well, Kaishara can flirt and charm with the best of them. Then again, once she is charmed -by a friend or otherwise- she's his for life. This dusk-blue coated stallion with strangely glowing markings is one of the kindest souls you are likely to meet. Born to parents and possessing three siblings, none of which he has seen in time beyond recounting, he is still strongly believing of a close family unit. (An OC from a faraway land, strongly Final-Fantasy Inspired.) Ballad is no longer new to the homeland of Soquili, though there are certainly times he still feels like a stranger in a strange land.
An independent sort of stallion, he did quite a bit of wandering and exploring throughout the years before he found his true love. Before that point he had begun to despair, thinking true love would never find him. With a strong enough wish of his heart, the very lady of his dreams found him, and they settled to raise a family. Though it was not nearly long enough -in his mind- they were happy for several years. When a great disaster struck their homeland, shattering the quiet family life he and his mate had built, it seemed all his dreams were lost.
Ballad's family scattered in the wake of the disaster and his mate was lost in the turmoil, prompting the stallion to go on a great search for his only love. By luck, or chance, or some unknown prompting Ballad eventually made his way to this land, where his lady wandered. As her memories were restored and the two of them united, Ballad was happy to find they were building a new life in this new land.
Recently joined by one of their sons, Ballad and Whistle spend a lot of time searching for their lost children and making friends. So long as his lady is by his side, Ballad is content to call this place home. Like many of his siblings, he was allowed to spend his early days running wild before being tamed and trained at an elite school. Once arrogant and wild, he was tamed by the kindness of a young woman who sought to escape her old life. Arriving here in the belly of a great ship, Sibalto is one of the few horses that arrived with the settlers many years ago. Enjoying this new world and all it has to offer, the silver stallion elected to stay behind when the ships depart. While within this land Sibalto has seen many incredible things, including the horses of the sea, and strange, beautiful beasts with wing and scale and horn.
Far more settled now than he was as a younger stallion, Sibalto is charming and kindhearted. Eager to make friends, he has a gentle demeanor, a silver tongue, and wisdom gained from experience. Happy to take younger stallions under his wing and teach them the arts of dance and war, provide help with navigating, or just advise them on where he's gone and what he's seen.
Utterly devoted to his lifemate Firefly, Sibalto has proud of the many generations of his descendents he has the fortune to visit with regularly. Masque is one of three children Aureate had with his former lifemate. While she and her sister Chaci remain close with their sire, their brother left in their mother's company. Though the separation was difficult for awhile, Masque believes it is for the best. She remains loyal to her family.
Masque, contrary to her elder sister who has always been sociable, is an introvert. Though she likes the company of others, she is often shy and quiet. Particularly at first, she needs time to warm up to someone and perhaps a little patience from them because she's not much for small-talk, she often feels foolish or as though she has nothing important to offer the conversation. Rather than being comfortable in a large group, she would prefer a small, almost intimate setting for getting to know someone (or even a few someones).
Her passion is music in the form of singing or dancing, a legacy of her father. Seldom one to sing when there is company, she can be 'caught' singing or dancing and perhaps charmed into continuing if one is patient. Spending a lot of time on her own, she wanders as her family has. Always eager to see what is in the next glade or through the next patch of forest, she might wander into trouble and need a Knight to help her out of it.
More intuitive than physical, Masque is a dreamer. She's imaginative and creative, a little impulsive and likes change... This is why she so often goes wandering in search of new things, as she's less than great with meeting new friends. She can at least explore and feed her curiosity that way. As they are the first (and currently only) children of Ash and Del, they did develop a certain exclusive understanding of each other much like twins seem to display.
If his parents are busy on a romantic getaway, Delri is pleased to spend time with his grandsire or even his great grandsire, learning what it means to be a gentleman and a knight, or soaking up stories from their past and explorations. From a young age he had a wandering heart and restless feet, and adding wings to that dominant family trait has only made things worse! There's no telling where you'll find this young stallion on any given day, but he almost always had a smile and story for those willing to listen.
When Delrialto was young he had the misfortune of straying across Keshani Avenara's path, and the mare is not known for her tolerance of foolish foals. For reasons still unknown she spared him, and with Avant's arrival shortly thereafter and his fondness for the colt's bravery, Delri was spared any harm at the hooves of the Kalona. Because of the debt Avant owed Imrikalto and Akaria, the Avant even walked the colt home to safer grounds.
Which is of course why, as he continued to grow, Delri made it a point to stray across Avant's path whenever the opportunity arose. Meeting Masque was more chance (or so he assumed) as he hadn't planned on finding a lady to woo when they accidentally crossed paths. She was just a nice companion and her herd long allied with his own, so they walked and talked and at the time he thought nothing of it. Of course, her skill with song and other such qualities drew Avant's attention to her, and before you knew it... ~: On Hold for Eponine:~ ~:The Golden Rose- Aureate:~  Pony Name Uncert X Aureate- Adult Cert X Aureate-Foal CertAbout: Born to a sire that was musically inclined and a mother of exotic elegance, Aureate quickly grew from a good-natured colt into a fearless young stallion with a flair for music and fancy flightwork. His dardevil attitude had him performing all sorts of aerial stunts, and he was especially delighted to make a spectacle of himself at dawn or sunset. Backlit by a rising or sinking sun, his dives and sweeping ascents looked all the more sharp. In his youth he befriended a young, regular mare that he strove to entertain with his stunts, and this practice continued into his youth with ever-growing dramatics. Still, for whatever reason they grew apart, Eponine finding romance elsewhere.
Spurred on by the loss of his friend (and first love) Aure did quite a bit of wandering in his youth, exploring the various terrains of the lands and delighting in meeting all manner of folk. The horses of the sea were of great interest to him, as are the Griffs and Harpys that live in the mountains. Skinwalkers and Kalonas have never been his favorite interactions, so he tends to avoid such dangerous persons when he can. For a time he found comfort with a regular mare or two, even lifemating for a time, and welcoming two groups of children. Regardless, neither relationship lasted for long and the lifemating was eventually dissolved.
With a few missteps in romance behind him, Aure is the proud sire of three beautiful daughters that he spends as much time as possible with. His relationship with his sons is a far more complicated matter, and not one that he is very happy to discuss. Still, the arrival of grandfoals is a special delight to him, and he looks forward to meeting Masque's children (in spite of their sire). He has also recently rekindled his friendship with Eponine, and is once again attempting to court her upon learning that she too is alone. He is the first surviving child and grandchild born of the Light Clan in this land, and was therefore raised well aware of the tragedy that had befallen the baskets from his grandparent’s first breeding. This did little to curb his wandering hooves and seeking heart (both strong characteristics of his Clan), which served him in good stead in making friends. It also ensured his protective sire trained him early on to fight and heal to the best of his ability.
Throughout his life Arioso has practiced his natural healing ability, as well as taking lessons in herb craft, plant identification (herb, tree, shrub and poisonous plants as well as their properties), navigation by sunlight and starlight, water location, animal identification and tracking, memorizing star patterns, learning different bird calls, how to move without leaving a trail and various types of fighting. While growing up he was eager to become an adult so he could work as a Healer and Scout for the good of the Clan. However, seeing his success in networking even as a colt Whistle also elected to make him one of the Envoys of the Clan. As such, she took him under her wing and trained him from his youth.
Having run afoul of his Uncle, the lethal Kalona stallion Aveshar, as a colt Arioso lost his way in fleeing for his life. He crossed paths (for the second time) with the pawed quadwing filly Riomie. Possibly in repayment for his previous healing of her leg wound, she rescued Arioso when she attacked the Kalona (admittedly, catching him by surprise). It is not known exactly how they managed it, but the two foals evaded the Kalona’s fury and eventually found their way home. By this point, they were fast friends and Arioso began to gain some exposure to The Code of Edda and the Valkyries’ way of life.
As an adult Arioso’s main services for trade are in Healing and War Arts. However, as singing and storytelling and dance are all part of the Clan traditions he is proficient in these skills as well. No other hobbies or crafts are traded or plied at this time. When not serving the needs of the Clan he is available as a Healer or Escort to traveling parties. As the majority of his family seem to find their ‘True Love’ and settle, this is also Arioso’s goal. However, at this time he does not seem to be avidly seeking any sort of romantic companion.
Arioso also encountered the somewhat mysterious Guardian of the Woods, Djose, in his youthful wanderings. She trained him in various woods craft based lessons and Soquili identification. In his wanderings he also encountered Raito, a Light Uni’suti stallion he brought back to the Clan for Healing lessons. When not working with the Clan or Healing, Arioso continues to serve as an Envoy and recruit allies and herdmates for the Clan. His energies also serve to build the Skinwalker and Kalona Alert Network (S.K.A.N.) and recruiting to that cause. He may come off as a bit flighty, but that's merely due to more than his fair share of encounters such as the terrifying Skinwalker and various Native Kalona. A refugee from a herd he does not willingly speak off, he is glad to be in a place he can call home (for all the terrors it may hold). Unwilling to speak of his family or his past, there is a chance he might run across a relative in this new land. Regardless, the copper-coated stallion is sweet and loyal, always happy to make a friend or learn something new.
The more time he spends in this land, the more relaxed and confident he will become. As such, it would be great for him to start encountering those that are slightly less confident, and perhaps help them be more comfortable in their surroundings. By chance, he wandered into a golden-painted unicorn mare named Sierra. The two have taken to spending a great deal of time together, and have now welcomed foals. While Ars and Ultima were much more 'kalona' in temper, she adhered more to her mother's gentle, musical nature. While her siblings could while away the hours hunting or attempting to outdo each other, Sona quickly grew disenchanted with the whole thing.
As she grew up and into her voice as well as her wings, Sona began to wander. She sought out the Faythren relations from her sire's grandsire's side of the family, visited with her mother's people, and eventually managed to run into her dad's kindred too. Not really feeling at home amongst any of the three herds, she tended to return to her parents lands and bask in theit attention.
As an adult, Sona crossed paths with a few of the artisans from the Ren Faire Herd. After learning of their work with pottery and metal, as well as being advised of the many other wonderful wares offered for the Faire, she tried to determine a craft that best suited her. Without clever claws or paws to craft pieces, Sona instead realized that her passion for flowers could indeed be turned into a trade. As such, she began experimenting with crossing rose varieties and breeding her own species, clipping choice blooms and arranging them in bouquets and the like.
As time continues she'll begin harvesting flowers and herbs for teas, herbal remedies, medicine and other purposes. Flowers may be harvested for fragrances to apply as perfumes or add to candles that one of her new friends makes. ~:Taken x 2:~ ~:Chaos Fayth- Keshani Avenara:~  Keshani Uncert (Accessories) X Keshani Uncert (Nude fair warning: HUGE) X Keshani Avenara- Adult Cert X Keshani Avenara-Foal CertAbout: Born to the groundwalker mare Kanti Nuttah and the Kalona stallion Aveshar... Keshani went into the basket as all Soquili foals do, then stepped out ready to take on the world. She had no idea what horrors awaited her, but it didn't stop her then and it won't stop her now. Unbeknownst to the foals, their mother encountered a cursed force and found herself as a Skinwalker, a hunting cat with no knowledge of herself or the family she had left behind. The only thing that remained was a burning hatred for Aveshar and a need to hunt his foals, her own foals, and Keshani was amongst these.
As a result of her mother's madness, Keshani grew up with her father shadowing her steps and teaching her how to fight and defend herself. She is always treated as a lesser creature by pure Kalona, but that hasn't ever held her back. Keshani is fearless, and frequently this means she runs her mouth in ways guaranteed to get her into trouble, and she'll step up to the plate no matter who the opposing force is.
Kalona fierce, there are times when Keshani might be considered 'evil' by those that do not know her. She is bull-headed and fearless, having contended with kalona superiority since foal-hood. When surrounded by those who do not immediately challenge her or otherwise get her back up, Keshani is somewhat cool and distant. In all aspects she is fearless, and when faced with a pure Kalona she stands ready with a bit of a chip on her shoulder because the pure bloods look down on her.
Her noticeable mixed blood never mattered much to her father, who doted on her sometimes even above his other children. She felt closest to him, at least, though her bond with her brother has always been strong. Growing up with her pure-looking sire and brother, she was always aware that her wind wings made her stand out. Of course, being raised as she was, she didn't exactly care. It certainly didn't make her any meeker when encountered with pure Kalona, and her fearless nature got her into trouble more than once. Still, it seems to work for her among her knew herd mates.
In her youth this and her willful wandering led to her crossing paths with the colt Ezra, an unusual combination of glinting red eyes, silent paws, and wings the likes of which Kesha had not seen before or since. In spite of the fact that her wings make Kalona look down on her, Kesha loves feathered wings, and particularly admires Angeni/Hippogryph and the more unique types. The infatuation with 'hybrid' or unique wing styles may even stem from her encounter with the strange colt. Though it has been a lifetime since they crossed paths, she still looks for intriguing wings and as such has meant all types of people.
As a young adult, Keshani once adopted and lost a daughter, and therefore has become somewhat withdrawn and angered by the loss. To this end she travels in search of something to invest herself in once more, though in her wandering she still thinks fondly of her childhood friend, and perhaps that is why she found it so easy to befriend the Practitioner Elijah while wandering. Though she did not know this was the brother of the colt she once knew, she was thus interested enough in the wandering stallion to learn more of the herd he hailed from.
In her travels to visit him, she was wandering in the mountains and leapt into action to protect foals from an avalanche. Miraculously, she was aided by the phoenix mare Kawah Ijen, a strange mare on the run from the small island herd she was once part of. Forgiving where Kesha is sharp, Kawah becomes the Kalona mare's unlikely friend and a sister among the Code of Edda Valkyries. Happily enough, Kesha thus finds herself in a herd that suited her perfectly, with the added bonus of a 'mother figure' in the Valkyrie Rouxe as well as being reunited with both Ezra and Elijah.
Fate is a funny thing, and moves in mysterious ways. Now settled among the Code of Edda, Keshani considers herself bound to both Ezra and Elijah. When she was gifted a strange, ugly hatchling that eventually grew into a beautiful Raven, Kesha adopted him (somewhat unwillingly) and eventually came to look upon him as a son of sorts. The strange bird-child thinks of Ezra as his sire, and is often doted upon by the fierce-looking stallion.
Otherwise, possessive over the two stallions' affections, Keshani Avenara knows that both of them had foals with other mares before they met her or began courting. This is of no concern to her, and she is content to raise children she has had with them or the foals they have had with other mares, for they are all considered children of the Code in her eyes. Still, their affections belong to her alone, and when the white mare Teleri Lindai seems to threaten those affections (even for a moment) Kesha develops a deep and abiding dislike of her. ~:Taken (x2 ish?):~ ~:The Wondrous Lost Girl- Tatyana Bangarang:~  Tatyana Bangarang Uncert Naked X Tatyana Bangarang Uncert Cups X Tatyana Bangarang- Adult Cert X Tatyana Bangarang-Foal CertAbout: A crackship child discovered in the spring, Tatyana bears some uncomfortable resemblance to the Underland Herd and the Cheshire Cats that dwell there. This of course was beyond her knowledge in her youth, but also somewhat accounts for how near her basket was to their territory and how her naming convention follows their own.
Her basket left out in the open, she escaped the confines and found her way to the herd of foals often referred to as the Lost Foals. One of the first fillies to join in, she became close friends with the twin colts that founded the herd, especially Halvar Eerikki Loki. Growing up without adult supervision, the Lost Foals became especially adept at stealing that which they could not gain through more honest means. When learning to hunt was taking too long, they might help themselves to the kill of a Kalona or Skinwalker (perhaps even having their kinsmen distract the dangerous foe so the meat could be stolen). Likewise, they might sneak into settlements for supplies, trinkets, medicines and the like. Because of this, Tatyana developed an especially "light paw".
There are those who might note the similarities between Tatya and Irina here, and make an argument for nature verses nurture. As Tatya found out later, the burgundy Cheshire Cat was something of a Queen of the Black Market in her homeland, and seeks to set up a similar sort of market in her new home. Tatyana is rather thrilled by the concept, and has taken to searching for trinkets to pinch just to trade when Irina accomplishes her vision.
An excellent huntress as an adult, with the useful skill of being able to make herself disappear (with concentration) or fly, Tatyana still stays close to the herd that was her home. As an adult she had to "graduate" from Lost Foals to their larger kindred herd, and now keeps a watchful eye on the next generation of Lost Foals. When not doing that, she visits the Underland Herd frequently, having grown quite fond of tea and their tea parties... Not to mention lifting a teacup or three to add to her collection of trinkets. ~:The Paths She Has Trod:~ In Herd RP LogOut Herd RP LogPlot Highlights: ~:Black Market? It's In Your Blood:~This girl has skills. A silver tongue, a stealthy paw, the ability to make herself largely unnoticeable and an eye for valuable objects. Her mother was quite comfortable within the Black Market of Wonderland, skilled at obtaining priceless and high-value items to sell, barter and trade for other items, favors, and information.
