He had been grateful when Zahneel spoke to him, giving commands. Finally. He could stop thinking. He could just do. Someone else could make the big decisions. And then, a hybrid walked in and the commotion began.
So much yelling!
He cringed into himself as the hybrids began to argue, eyes flicking between them before he bit his lip. Kobe spoke quietly, and his tail wagged briefly. More help. More support. Looking to Neptune, he, once again, summoned all his courage and grabbed Neptune's hand to alert the boy to him.
"We should go! B-before we can't." He almost squeaked, again! Before they can't? Before both boys lost the bravery. He then turned to the others, ears flicking back as he began to use his free hand to grab the towels Zahneel mentioned.
"We should split, then. Some find the Headmistress, some find the woman." He said, with surprising clarity.

For a moment, Zahneel was tempted to bare her teeth at the tall, red hybrid too, except... she had to admit to herself (rather grudgingly) that some of his words made sense. Snorting from annoyance, she shot a grateful look at the Baphomet, deciding that once there was more time, she'd get proper introductions done. At this point a nice gift basket for the other girl probably wouldn't be amiss either. One did not throw away allies.
Forcing herself to take a deep, calming breath, she nodded along.
"I agree with you and Myles," she said in her usual soft tone. "We need her and she needs to hear what Athena told us. I'll go right now, though it would probably be a lot quicker if we have more than one person searching."
Moving quickly, she shot a reassuring smile at Myles and Athena before darting for the doors. She had to find Ava. She just had to!

There was so much going on at once, it was as if the situation had erupted into chaos in a matter of minutes. First, the grimm hybrid had come in and essentially told them there was no hope, no reason to go after The Scary Woman, but... but there was! There was a reason, he knew there was, it was just so hard to say, so hard to vocalize-- he had to force himself to do it--
Tobias took his hand. He glanced down at it, feeling a little more grounded. Between Melisara's hand squeeze from before, and Tobias holding his hand now, he felt he could finally do it... He took in a deep breath, staring out at the others, shaking so much he could hardly stay still--
"But-- but there is a reason to go after...h-her.. um..." His voice cracked and wavered, but still he pushed on, this was important. "They-- they came t-together, the Grimm a-and the Nixie, its im--important because... wh--what if they m-make the Grimm go away? Wh--what if... what if they tell us w-we have to go with them-- or... or we never get to s--see them again? It's... It's important... a-and I don't... I don't want to be c-cut off--... from them... I want to know." He looked down again at Tobias's hand around his, then chewed at his lip. He'd never done anything so anxiety inducing in his life- this was terrifying but it mattered and he had mustered up the courage to say something....
And now he needed to leave. Right now. "L--let's go..." He nervously patted Melisara once, as a goodbye, right on the shoulder... and then began tugging Tobias out of the room. They needed to get out of there before the others started yelling at them... He didn't want to lose what bravery he had managed to scrounge together.

Kobe nodded to Tobias, agreeing with him. He wouldn't separate with Tobias however. He took the older grimm's hand. "I-Ill go with you... wherever you choose to go.. We will do it together." He reminded and reassured. He didn't like the yelling and arguing as was glad he was away from it. He looked up to Tobias, waiting for what the other wanted to do.
What a mess! Cherish ran her claws through her hair, trying to remain calm. She could see the complex sides of the argument. But frankly she also didn't feel a huge investment in this fight. Sure she'd hate to be cut off from her culture again, but would it really change anything? Until now they'd lived just fine not knowing anything. So what if they got cut off again? Well to be frank she did kind of want to learn about Grimm music and other parts of her culture but all the same.
However, when the other Grimm bared her teeth at her sibling, Cherish puffed up, baring her own and flexing her claws. "He's right though - it's a Nixie matter and the girl a Nixie, she needs to learn that life's not kind. Back off." If this girl wanted to push this, Cherish had no problem going the rounds. To a degree she was relieved when the girl darted off so quickly.
But really there was more important things to address.
Her head turned to face the male as he spoke and backed up her brother. Well it was good that there were other sane people here. But - she couldn't quite agree with his assessment.
"I disagree with you on that point. Doing something is better than doing nothing." She said to the male hybrid who had stuck up for Conan.
She placed a claw on Conan's arm once she was finally able to think things through. "We should find the Headmistress." It was the most sane option anyway. "This is getting into political level stuff and I hate to admit it but we're over our heads."
Frankly - aside from the potential of the Nixie taking away her access to heritage she just learned was available - there wasn't a whole lot of skin in this fight for her. But all the same, it was a chance to DO something - so they might as well take it.
She eyed the Baphomet and she smirked. "An apt phrase - I just hope that it doesn't end up resulting to actually having to strike iron-to-iron, if you get my meaning."
This was the stuff that wars were made of.

Kinley had been there long enough to realize what was going on. He sighed inwardly as he decided that he would go try to talk to Ava again. She'd already shoo'd him away once.. and he did take Myle's words to heart even if he didn't like them. No more whining like a child... If he was to be taken serious... He needed to sound confident.
He slipped over to Tobias, Kobe and the others. "I will go with the group who is going to talk to the headmistress..." He told them, trying not to have his fear waiver his voice. "Anyone else... wanna go with me?" He asked.
Yue stepped back, but stayed close enough for tobias to know that she was here, and listened to the commotion in the room. While it did quiet down her anger listening to all the points in the room, it also gave her a sort of sickening feeling. She hated that everyone was just degrading into fighting but she also understood. Everyone was emotionally stirred up and It was loud and emotions and feelings where rising. However when she had backed Tobias up saying they were going to find Elena, She wasn’t deciding to go guns blazing and words flinging after all it never seemed to go over well yelling at an adult when you were a kid…..
However the more important thing was that Neptune, Tobias, and Kobe where leaving and she needed to get her head together and at least have an older kid go with them.
"Okay you're right if we're going to go we need to go now"

He was ready.
While his heart pounded, the Grimm ignored his fears and watched those who supported him speak. Nodding, the boy glanced over at Neptune. They could lead this together, right? Oh no.... lead. His heart sunk at that word, but he shoved it aside. Stop. Calm down. After this he could cry and hide in his room. Right now? He needed to go forward. To actually do what he wanted to. To make Yue proud.
To make himself proud.
Swallowing, the boy nodded and made a move towards the door, gently tugging on Neptune's hand before releasing it and heading over. His eyes squeezed shut as he pushed them open, trying to focus on his footsteps and not his heart. He could do this. He had to.
"L-Lets go." He stammered before finally leaving, hoping the others followed. He wasn't sure where to go from there, and he wouldn't mind if someone stepped forward and lead the group, but right now? Right now he needed to initiate the fire to begin the search.
He only hoped this was the right choice.
Notice: Anyone supporting Neptune and Tobias in their adventure to find Elena should now leave this RP and go here! Those who wish to stay may continue RPing here! The Headmistress has been contacted already, so another ORP for going to her will not be made.

Conan was a little disappointed Cherish went and bared her own teeth at the female Grimm. He should have expected it though, given how defensive they all were over their siblings. He had a personal invest to them and their future. While he enjoyed being part Grimm and would love nothing more than for them to stick around, he didn't see what a bunch of kids could really do to change this matter. Adults were needed here.
He was happy when the Imp/Demon made his way over to them. He pretty much said the things Conan had said, but better. So Conan wasn't great with words. He could see by the Baphomet's reaction to him that he wasn't really favored for taking Conan's side however. He simply threw his hands claws in the air in frustration. He hadn't meant to get people riled up. He was just stating what he knew about the situation.
"I'll join you once I get some actual food." The group was breaking up than, the Grimm that had bared her fangs had run off. He was glad they had been spurred into action at least. He glanced over at the table the hybrid had pointed out then went to the line to grab his food.
"That was just stupid..." His tail hung low as he grabbed up his food and made his way over to the table. He sighed and ran a clawed hand through his hair. He just...wasn't sure what to make of the Nixie. If they lost their connection to the other Grimms, there were still the ones here in the Academy to bond with. Some of their culture would be lost, he wouldn't learn about their songs and dances, but there was a new way to be a Grimm. An Academy raised Grimm. And that was just as much a Grimm as any other Grimm.

The third hybrid, clearly the purple one's sibling, earned a glare from Sara. She hated smirks. They were never appropriate. She marked that one down as someone to avoid at all costs. By the fact she hadn't met the pair yet she knew they weren't in the same house. Good. Hopefully they would never have to meet again. "It's an expression," she said flatly.
But she had good things to think about, ones other than jerk hybrids. She looked up at Neptune and gave him a big encouraging smile. She returned his shoulder-pat with a hand squeeze. "Ah'll be here," she murmured. She looked to the Geist and nodded. The Geist looked pretty responsible--good, she'd be able to help out the more timid Grimms in the group. Sara would not be going with them herself--she felt she was needed here, to talk to Athena and help her and Myles out. It would not be appropriate to leave their guests here alone, especially considering that three hostile entities were in the room with them. She shot the hybrid brigade another filthy glance. Being rude to their guests, talking about how they were pointless criminals like that...
Guests. Yes, that's what they were, guests. And the Baphomet in Sara was once again awakened...
Yet another hybrid was here, the sibling--sister or otherwise--of the first. It was clear that she--he was going to assume it was a she at the moment--was a touch more diplomatic than her brother, or at least seemed to be. But a good listener? Pah, as if. Didn't seem to be paying much attention to anything at all, was she. "I never advocated doing nothing," he said coldly. "If you think I did, then clearly someone needs to make holes in your skull so that you can actually use your ears."
He nodded to the male hybrid. "We'll be here," he said. He turned back to the table, still fuming. He'd actually told those kids that he thought they should take action. He had. And no one had frigging noticed. Academy kids, pah, wouldn't last a second on the streets...
He sat back down at his cooling lunch and said to Foras, "We're about to get guests. They'll probably use bad language and they're maybe not the nicest people in the world. Let me know if they bother you, and I'll chase them off to whatever swamp they crawled from."

Foras watched at the crowd at the other table got riled up and seemed to just as quickly started to fade out. It seemed the other Nightmares had finally been spurred into action. He hoped they accomplished what they were aiming for, but had to admit he didn't have the first clue about how to stop that Nixie woman from taking away that Nixie elder from earlier.
When Batholith came over and warned him about the quests they'd be receiving a bit of a frown crossed his face. Rude people? He wasn't sure he liked that. But from what he'd seen by his table a lot of people were being rude to a lot of other people over there....
"Okay, Batholith...." And then because he couldn't help but be curious, "Do some Nightmares come from swamps?" Had he missed something in class? He usually tried to pay attention, but he had to admit he could get distracted by his doodles.

Conan settled in at the table the black and red hybrid had pointed out to him before. The only other Nightmare at the table was a little Freshling. Conan could just barely make out the Grimm in the kid, as well as a lot of other races as well. Conan as well aware of the fact that he was pretty different, but he also had two sisters to help him deal with that. He felt a little bad for the kid, but kids were pretty resilient. He'd grow up fine, especially being here at the academy.
"Sorry about the mess back there. Thanks for coming to my rescue. I'm Conan by the way." He gave the both of them a soft smile. He wasn't such a bad Nightmare unless riled up. He had basically been the reason he'd ended up so stressed in the first place though. He didn't really know what had happened in here since he'd been in the auditorium. But all he'd learned in the Auditorium was that he didn't trust these newcomers.
Everyone was welcome to their own opinions about the situation. He'd love for the Grimm to stick around and learn more about parts of his culture. However, he wasn't quite fond of the Nixie that came with them. He really did try to picture what it would be like to see his 'father' dragged away in handcuffs. But it was a little hard to imagine given he didn't have one.
He supposed if it was one of his sisters he'd do something about the situation. Anything really. But unlike the Nixie, Conan had a serious investment with his Sisters.
He kept quiet after his introductions. He was just lost in thought over the whole situation. He tail hung low and unwagging and he stared at his food like it might come alive and eat him instead of the other way around.

The glare from the Baphomet girl was unexpected to say the least. She had been agreeing with the girl really, so she wasn't quite sure where the sudden anger came from. Regardless, she wasn't going to let it bother her too much, if it was directed at her, great, whatever. As long as she wasn't giving Conan trouble that's all she cared about.
The other hybrid however, caused her ears to pin quickly to her head as she shot him a somewhat confused look. Before shaking her head and just shrugging it off. Again, if people wanted to consider her vapid or dim or awful then by all means, so long as that wasn't directed at her siblings it didn't bother her all that much.
When Conan went off to go get food however, she simply sat and waited for him. She wasn't about to rush off without him! Nope, she'd stick around with her brother until he was ready to move on. That was her way. She nodded her head at the other two hybrids at the table, even giving the smaller of the two a smile.
"My name is Cherish, by the way, thank you for backing up Conan as well." She'd extend a hand in greeting but since they were all, save her, sitting at the table to eat she didn't see a huge point of it.
Now that the cafeteria had finally calmed down, it gave Myles the room he needed to think. He rubbed Athena's shoulder mulling everything over. He wasn't entirely sure how he felt about his girlfriend at the moment. He was so...angry and yet he wasn't at the same time. It was so confusing. How he was feeling didn't really matter though. Right now he needed to take a deep breath and calm down himself.
He glanced over at Sara. She seemed like a really decent person, someone he'd like to get to know better if he was allowed to in the future. Yeah, she'd snapped at the hybrids earlier, and some things got said that they shouldn't have but...Ah! Complicated! Too complicated for right now. The main thing was that she appeared for the most part to be honest and he needed an honest impression of what was about to happen next.
He cleared his throat and managed to get Athena to adjust just enough. "Sara. I need you to do something for me." he said. He didn't really know what to expect of what he was about to ask her, but maybe she'd get a feeling...or...understand if they just jumped straight to this instead of him trying to explain.
"Touch the pearl, please." he said offering the big blue orb towards her.
