☖ Zone 4/5: Enter Nurchama ☖

Words ☖ 476
Reward ☖ Nuri Enters The Meta

When Nurchama approached the academy, he assumed it would be a simple act of examining the facility and determining the worth for attending at a later date. In fact, he risked coming out in the open for this very reason, with the explicit expectation to make it a clean in and out operation. As he approached the academy from the town, and discreetly examined said town, he couldn't help but hear the shouting from the Town Hall. His curiosity was peaked, and he was sucked in. Oh what a mistake that had been.

His hand was suddenly filled with a book lit, and his clawed fingers tentatively opened it up to examine the contents for some sort of clue.

"How to save your...humans?!" He grumbled out with wide eyes, examining the steps that spoke to him as if he were a scareling. What was even going on? Before he knew it, he was being shoved toward a portal, and he found his heart hammering. Of course, on the outside he seemed aloof, but the thought of going to the human world now was something that terrified him.

With one last thought of not being ready, he was handed a passport and thrust into the portal.

This was not how a Jinn operated, and going to the human world was a one-way ticket to eternal entrapment.

When the surreal spinning seemed to end, he was faced with five faces shouting out a welcome. Immediately, he ignored the ice demon, giving it a bit of a glare before passing the same look along to the reaper. The house elf was out of the question in terms of approaching, as Nurchama immediately blamed said creature for getting him into this mess. It was between the mutt and the cat like creature, both detestable, but the wolf seemed a bit more reasonable.

He appreciated her warning, but still had no clue what was going on. He hardly had control over his fear, and she was speaking of fog and danger? Suddenly he felt like scrambling back with his tail between his legs, but that was not an option. As a demon, he needed to keep up appearances, and so he lifted his chin and finished his journey through the portal to the human side.

When he came out, a dark fear settled in his heart. He heard stories, of Jinn trapped in bottles with smoke filling their view. It took a long moment for him to realize that this wasn't smoke, just a thick fog. Nurchama finally got a grip, and continued to move to follow the steps provided - he needed to find 'his' human. It didn't take long until he saw the woman sleeping, her hair a mess and her body shaking. He leaned down, looking at her for a long, silent moment, before deciding what to do.

☖ Zone 4/5: Rescue Solo ☖

Nurchama grunted as he lifted up the girl, confused as to why she seemed much heavier than she looked. But maybe it wasn't her, but him. This had been the first time he had visited the human world, so maybe it changed how he was able to move and interact. Either way, he had to strain a bit to lift the petite girl into his arms. Looking around, he suddenly caught sight of the portal, and moved back the way he came through the fog.

It took no time at all to approach the portal, and Nurchama shifted a moment with the girl in his arms. Without a second thought, he tossed the girl through the portal and waited a long moment before following. The last thought he had was how easy that was and how glad he was to get back home.

Unfortunately, it was not home where he ended up.

nstead, he was on a long stretch of road, leading to a large building in the distance. Immediately, he could tell he was not back in Halloween, as he felt the familiar lack of strength. Looking at the building caused his head to ache, so he slowly turned around.

He just gaped at the creature in front of him, so large and so grotesque that it reached out with things. He couldn't begin to describe what he was looking at, all he knew was it was dangerous and not something he wanted to near.

His head hurt, and he felt like he was going to fall where he stood. Voices filled his head, and he tried to ignore the threat that was being said. Immediately, he realized that the creature was covered with others from Halloween, things that were part of it now. Nurchama began to shake at the thought of what they once were, and what they are now.

Feeling strength suddenly fuel him, his body emerged in its true form. Letting out a gasp, he picked up the girl and fled, but he could feel the creature and the voices follow close behind. He thought maybe he could fight, but looking down at the girl he knew he really had no choice but to move.

As Nurchama approached the building, he noticed it breaking out in a wall of vines. There was no time to examine it further, as he still felt the creature racing behind him. Eventually, the fog around him began to thicken, and he felt his body revert back to its weaker form. Cursing, he tried to push through the sudden fatigue as he neared what looked like a car. It seemed that the ignition was still possible, and he tossed the girl in the back as he dealt with the rust bucket.

It was time to run.

It was faster than running, but he still could hear the creature. As he neared the half-way mark, a sudden jostle caused the car to shift, and he slammed his head. Grumbling as he noticed the car was dented, he attempted to continue on.

It seemed he was able to make it the second half of the distance without being caught, and Nurchama let a bit of a hoot as he seemed to successfully make it to the portal ahead.

As Nurchama approached the portal, he let out a deep breath. It seemed that this would be it. It wasn't easy, but it was time to finally go home.

That was, until the girl stirred.

All at once, she began to flail and shift in his arms, screaming and grabbing at him any way she could. He dropped her, only to have her dart and begin fighting him off, and surprisingly she was good at what she was doing. Eventually, he was able to settle her, grumbling and holding her over his shoulder. However, when he turned, the portal was gone.
