The next morning, Astrid was up early watching for the boat with the Mawile. She kept an eye on the little one who seemed to be hungry. Astrid tried feeding the little one some fruit but discovered the Mawile was not able to chew her food on her own yet, and Astrid wasn't producing any milk since she wasn't expecting puppies. She wanted to feed the little one but couldn't. Mawile was snuggling with Astrid whose tail was wagging happily. Astrid then saw the boat and led the Mawile towards Max to wake him up. Astrid licked Max's cheek and barked loudly to wake him up so they could get to the boat.

Red started to pull Max over to Astrid and jump up onto his stomach to wake him up. Max leap onto his feet looking around barely remember where they are at first. he seen the boat and smiled " yeah a lab team is staying here to check out some odd noises on this place" he watch them get off the boat and head to it with Red following after him. Red was the first one on and was at the helm of it barking at random bird Pokémon who got a bit to close to everyone. Max picked up the Mawile and smiled " little poor thing. no worry thing will be fine" he put her into the boat and give her a Pokémon life jacket

Astrid laid with the Mawile on the boat as the poor thing was so scared of others. Astrid was protective of this little Pokemon that was for sure. She would growl whenever anyone but Max would get close fearing for herself as well. Plus the fact that Astrid was hurt wasn't helping.

Max started up the boat and began to sail back to the city. he looked at the little Mawile and know it's going back to it's family after getting back there. he know it's going need to get some help first to take care of that wound. he pulled up to the dock

Astrid laid with the Mawile while she hugged Astrid in a scared way. Astrid licked the little one's head to help calm her down, allowing the little one to snuggle into her fur. Astrid's leg was hurting her but all that mattered to her was this little one.

Max leap onto the dock pulling Red onto it with him and carrying both Astrid and Mawile. he smiled at the two and put Astrid as the owner of the Mawile came over worrying about the lost pokemon " better keep a good eye on the little one. it's not safe for a young pokemon like her too be alone"

Mawile started crying as soon as she was given to her trainer. Astrid hated seeing Mawile like that. She whimpered a bit as Mawile tried to reach for Astrid, thinking she was her mommy.

Max talk with the owner and heard they thought the Mawile was water type. he told them it was not and that he know someone who is trying to get rid of a water pokemon

Astrid let Mawile snuggle up to her. Mawile didn't want to leave Astrid. She was gripping Astrid's fur in her little hands crying as Astrid licked the small Pokemon's head gently as she curled around her baby protectively.
