Korou nodded to his friend and started to walk next to Zakiya in his limping gait. He gazing straight at the ground in front of him as he walked, not sure exactly if he should look up and watch the world around him or if he should just not pay attention to anything other than walking. After all, it was a struggle just to walk around.
A noise caught his attention and he stopped in his tracks. Frozen with his heart pounding in his small chest at a rate fare exceeding what it should have normally been. That was a large animal. Lifting his bi colored gaze, Korou spotted the culprit, a large looking hooved animal with horns that grew right out of it's HEAD. It looked menacing and Korou wanted to crush himself to Zakiya, but he couldn't move. He could only stare at the fiendish looking thing.
Stare and hope that it didn't attack him. But the grumbling in his stomach was making him a little angry. Angry at nothing really, except at the fact that it was there at all and he could do nothing. A growl suddenly leapt from his throat and he took a few steps forward, his vision glazing over red. If he was hungry than no horns would stop him from getting dinner. His lips pulled away from his fangs slowly.

Hinotama puurrrred in happiness he could come with them he felt so happy " Oh i can thank you so much " his hole face smiled and he made a little jump and landed next to Korou " How are you? does your leg still hurt? he felt so sorry for him but he would help him if he had too.
Then he stopped when Korou did...what was he looking at? he started to look around then he saw that big horned animal, tama was hungry too but he couldn't understand why Korou stared at the animal like that " Korou are you ok? "

Her own pearly white teeth were revealed as she moved forward, body tense, ready for a spring if necessary, as she moved in front of Korou and Tama, shielding them from the beast. She hoped it would get the message and leave, staring down a predator with its hackles raised and teeth bared, growling low. Finding food for herself and the cubs was a priority, of course, but keeping them alive was higher in her mind. If it ran, she could chase it, as she always fared best doing. Trying to take it down when it was on the offensive would be difficult, not to mention dangerous, and if anything happened to her, what would become of these orphaned, hungry cubs she'd found?

The words of the other cub nearly missed getting through his bloodlust. Through luck though, the cub turned his head and looked over at Hinotama with raised eyebrows. Was he okay? Well, aside from his leg he seemed it.
But why was Zakiya standing in front of him now? Had he zoned out or something? He'd never done that before. Well, there was a first for everything. He peered around the older cheetah and tried to will his stomach to stop growling before he looked back at Hinotama.
"I'm fine, I think." He said slowly.

Hinotama just stood there next to Korou he get a little nervous when the other animal seemed ready to attack or something but Zakiya seemed to handle the situation. He nuzzeld up against Korou's side to add more support on his side because off his injurned leg.
" Are you sure you are fine? " Tama actually hoped that the animal would go away...they could probably look for food later or well Zakiya would Tama couldn't even hunt yet.

With her foreleg, she moved the cubs backwards, gently but firmly. She'd decided to go for the kill with this animal; she had hungry cubs with her, not to mention herself, so she'd have to make a larger kill than she normally would, anyway. This beast would do perfectly, and would satisfy all their hungers.
Once she's satisfied her new charges are safely out of harm's way, she makes a quick dive to the right, spinning and launching herself at the large prey animal. Her aim's a little off, but she manages to lock her jaws around its throat. Now it's just a battle of strengths, and waiting for the life to fade.
Luckily, and much to her surprise, she manages to hang on to the beast until it finally stops kicking and slumps to the floor. Panting, she sits back, letting the cubs feed first. After all, she's had meals every day for most of her life. Apparently, these two haven't eaten for days.

Korou snuggled against Hinotama lightly and smiled. He didn't know what was wrong, but if Hinotama had noticed then it may have been bad. He nuzzled the other male. "I'm fine, really. I just need to rest."
But then he watched Zakiya take down the horned beast. That was awsome. His heart raced as he watched and the mintue it stopped moving he pounced on it and bit into it almost desperatly. He was starving, now that he smelled meat and tasted it his stomach was even more demanding. The food hit his stomach and he sighed happily. It felt so good.

Hinotama was very impressed too he hoped he good to something like that one day too he would be strong and big..then he helped Korou getting to the newley killed animal he was weaker then himself so he needed the first bite.
" Heh god i am so hungry too my stomach is just well so happy " he sniffed a little on the animal it smelled so good then he took a big bite from it he had his mouth full off meat and skin but he didn't care he hadn't eaten in days so why would he care if he looked all crazy and funny..

She watched the two hungry cubs eat for now. They were starved; when they'd eaten their fill, she'd have what was left. She wasn't too hungry. It could wait, for her.
Tired now, she slowly lowers herself into a laying position, crossing her spotless legs, her tail flicking lazily, letting her eyes roam across the distance, checking only for threats now. After all, she'd just provided them with ample food to satisfy the hungry cubs.

Korou nuzzled into the side of the dead beast happily, his fangs ripping into it happily. He hadn't eaten like this in so long. Even when his friend had fed him he'd never eaten this well. He'd had a rodent or two, and maybe a hare. But nothing this big, never this much. He was so happy he could cry.
Finally his belly filled up entirely and he trotted over to Zakiya ungainly-like. He gave her a bloody toothed grin and then nuzzled against her chest and started to purr. She felt so warm, just like he imagined his mother must have. Only nicer because he didn't have to imagine her.

" Ok now i am really filled~~ " Tama smiled and sighed happily his belly almost looked like a ballon but he didn't care but his light fur was all bloody and he hated that but for now he would just not care because he was to tired after all the eating.
He walked over to Zakiya and Korou he made a little jump up on Zakiya's back and layed down on her neck and starts to clean himself...he puuurrrrsss too i meen what more could he need a brother a new mom and his stomach filled with food..

She chuckles, curling a paw around little Korou, pulling him gently into a position where she can clean him properly, which she then proceeds to do, licking the blood from his dark fur. She would clean Tama, too, but he's perched on her back, and seems to be doing a good job cleaning himself, besides.
Of course, having the cubs in these positions prevent her from eating, but she doesn't mind. If these two cubs were comfortable, content and at peace for the first time in a long time, she was happy. Her hunger wasn't urgent; it could wait until just before they were ready to move on again. Perhaps she'd even risk letting them have a little sleep here before they continued looking for shelter.

He was warm, and that tongue on him felt so good. He knew it from before, but he still couldn't get over it. The purr got louder and he buried his face in her furry chest. She was comfortable, and her fur blocked out all of the sunlight from his view. He was the luckiest cub alive, well, that was a lie. He and Tama were both the luckiest cubs alive.
Sighing contently, the little black and orange cub started to fall into sleep. Not that he meant to of course, you shouldn't fall asleep out in the open. Yet Korou had done something like that in the last week, sleeping in lower branches of trees because he couldn't climb any higher.

Hinotama purred and waves his tail back and fouth up there on Zakiya's head he wasn't as tired as Korou but he would probably be sleepy soon too. He looked down at Korou he could need some sleep so his wound would heal better...he really hoped he will be better soon.
" Um you want cleaning too Zakiya? "
Tama stuck out his tounge and licked Zakiya's ear a little it could need some claning..just like all off her he tought.

Her ear flickered a little, and a soft chuckle poured from her. "That would be nice, Tama," she murmured, turning her head and swivelling her eyes to look at the colourful little cub with a smile.
She curled both her front paws more comfortably around Korou now, seeing that he was drifting off. Sure, it wasn't wise to fall asleep in the open if you were alone, but if someone was keeping an eye on your well-being, it was fine. She'd let them rest, but would stay awake herself, keeping an eye on things and making sure nothing happened. And while they slept, she'd probably eat. It might be wise to drag the carcass away from them, too, to make sure it doesn't attract any unfriendly scavengers.
