"Well, we're compatible for a reason, after all." Otto snarked back. However, Tenya had never really hear Otto admit aloud that he thought of them as compatible, even if she knew on some level he thought so. He felt a warmth come from the spot in his mind she called home. "Who knows." He murmured back. It wasn't like either of them could ask their mothers now why they got the names they did. Otto had never thought to ask, since he never questioned such a thing. The only thing he bemoaned was that a family called Graves worked as Funeral Directors. How fitting. Otto started to strip for his shower without thinking anything of it. "Do you got a middle name? Is it just as weird?"

"Maybe that's why Asher and I get along as well as we do," said Chance mildly, tugging off his shirt. "They're just as calm as I am, though maybe a little bit more emotional at times."
The demon thrummed pleasantly in his mind, satisfied with their connection. Chance turned his head to look at Otto and gave a soft hum of thought. A little smile twisted Chance's lips upwards at the corners as he bent to pull his sweats off.
"Victor," he said, slightly ruefully. "Chance Victor Bones."

"See? She gave you a normal middle name." Even if it was funny sounding. Only because Chance didn't look like a Victor. It would be like calling an Apple a Red. "My middle name's Austin. I dunno what they were thinkin' givin' me two names that start with Aw."

He wrinkled his nose a little. "It's very stiff sounding," said Chance with a laugh. "I think she just picked it out of the newspaper or something. I don't mind Chance, even though as a kid I used to get teased all the time for it. People made so many stupid jokes."
He raked his hair back away from his face, brows lifting a little.
"I like Austin," said Chance mildly. "But I like Otto better, I think it suits you perfectly."

"Guess it couldn't be the worst thing she could pick out of a paper." Imagine how bad it could have been had she chosen a different headline. Poor Chance. "Like... Car Crash Bones." Sometimes it was best if Otto just wasn't allowed to think or talk. "Bad Weather Bones..." Yeah. "Well, it better." He really couldn't imagine being called anything else. Names were funny that way. "I like it too." He turned on the shower and stepped inside, the hot water and steam feeling like a slice of heaven. He let out a sigh of contentedness, running his hands through his now wet hair.

He snorted with laughter and said, "Okay, well, you do have a point. I'm very glad I wasn't named Car Crash or Bad Weather."
Chance stepped in after Otto, because in spite of having not asked for once, Otto hadn't seemed deterred by Chance assuming they would both shower at the same time. It was pleasant beneath the stream of water, which was just the right temperature, and Chance reached for the shampoo, lathering up his hands before passing the bottle to Otto.
"Just imagine if your first name was Robin," he said in a deadpan.

Otto blinked, his brows furrowed and taking the bottle from Chance. "Robin...?" Since when did he not understand a reference and Chance did? Was he having a.... blond moment?Otto squeezed out some shampoo into his hands before putting the bottle back, running and lathering the soapy suds into his hair. "I don't get it.." Robin Austin? No...Robin Graves.... wait. Wait.. Robbin' Graves... Robbing Graves..."Oh.... you ********' nerd!" He finally got it, and stomped on Chance's foot with a huff.

Chance laughed, inhaled water on accident, choked a little, and kept laughing, half doubled over with his soapy hair as he grinned.
"Took you long enough," he wheezed, scrubbing his fingers through his black curls as he hopped back away from Otto's offending foot. "Also ow those were my toes, you ******** stuck his head under the stream of water to rinse out the shampoo, still grinning.

"Yeah you choke on that damn water, a*****e." He wasn't laughing on the outside, even if Chance was. He scrunched his face as he washed his hair, glaring with a pouty scowl. "S'what you get for havin' big feet. Ain't my fault your foot got in the way of my stompin'." Except he'd totally aimed for him.

"You started it by stepping on my foot in the first place, you a**," said Chance with a laugh, straightening now that his hair was shampoo-free. He grinned down at Otto and leaned to peck a kiss to that scowl of his before reaching for the conditioner.
He poured a generous helping into his hands, then held the bottle out for Otto.
"Remind me never to go dancing with you."

He rinsed out his hair before taking the conditioner bottle. "Will do. Cause I don't dance." He replied, failing to uphold some of that haughty attitude after that placating kiss. "You'll have to ask someone else."

"I've gone once or twice since coming here," said Chance thoughtfully, running his fingers through his hair. "Though one of them was at a club, when I was thinking things over and the end result wasn't quite as pleasant as I'd thought it would be."
Since when he'd come back from his night out, he'd been covered in bruises, and not the fun time, from a one-night stand that had been a little more aggressive than he liked. Chance stuck his head under the water again.
"Actually, come to think of it, both times kinda ended up shitty evenings," he said musingly. "Maybe I just shouldn't go dancing anymore."

"Or just.. if you do go, do it with the right crowd." Otto murmured back. To be honest, Otto had been thankful there'd been no dances at Deus since the one they'd had. Business as usual, as always. That suited him fine. He was not a social butterfly, he hated crowds and disliked having the spotlight. "You got other friends here who'd go to stuff like that?"

"True," said Chance agreeably. "Though the first time I went alone. The second time wasn't at a club, but it ended in an argument, so that wasn't fun, either. But I think maybe I have a couple people would be willing to go with me, I just have to be in the mood to go be around huge crowds of gyrating people."
He reached for the soap and lathered his hands, smoothing his fingers over Otto's shoulders. Chance was silent for a moment, contemplating, and then said,
"That first night we kissed, that was soon after I went to the club and went home with some guy. You made things a helluva lot better, I have to say."

"Just remindin' you if you wanna go, I ain't comin' along. But feel free to uh.. gyrate with the best of'em, happy feet." He didn't mind if Chance wanted to do that stuff. It just wasn't Otto's forte. " No pictures." Otto rinsed the conditioner from his hair, finishing just as Chance started to rub his shoulders. He looked up when he spoke, Chance's tone a little different than the casual conversation they'd been having. "I did?" Just how bad a night did he have? Otto wasn't sure he wanted to know, mostly because things that happened to Chance in the past were beyond his control to change or help. Nothing he could say but 'oh I see' or something. "Well... I guess that's good."
