Yithiron post 3

"I sincerely hope so, I mean we have a good chance of fending them off just with Sauti if we can clump everyone together in a pile but our chances greatly increase with the addition of Zena and the other places. If everyone joined in I have no doubt we could trounce them and be home in three days, but who knows what will happen. I hope there are not as many orphans to be found this time, it was alful before." He thought of the little ones he had left with his parents in Tale. "Do you think my family will be okay in Tale with those three small ones?" He knew they would be, of course they would be but he couldn't help but worry about them. They were important, and his responsibility since he had taken them on.

Ime- post 3

Ime nodded decisively. Yes, she wanted to believe that Tendaji would band together and the battle would be short, that 'war' was just a frightening word meant to symbolize bloodshed. She hoped Thorn was right. At the very least his words were comforting. Then it was her turn to reassure him.

"Yes, I'm sure they will be. If there is a fight and it moves to Tale, we will follow it and be sure they are safe." At least he would, because if Mama wasn't safe Ime wasn't going anywhere. Her mother had held down the fort in battles before, healing the injured and moving camp when need be, but it was frightening to think of war so close to home.

NEIBET POST 3

"I am a traditionalist yes." Neibet replied, taking care not to look in the direction of the rude one. They were all rude in her eyes, with their sneering faces and glib tongues. "I care that our lines are being polluted by the crystal crawlers. If they keep abusing our mother like they have been, soon there will be no more younglings from the union of our sisters, only those gifted to us by mother herself." It rankled her that their gift of children was being squandered away. Let the crystal crawlers birth their live young and be done with it. There was no reason that Aisha should have to bear their young for them as well. "But I would be content with only Jauhar, it was ours originally. To take anything more would make us as greedy as the crystal crawlers."

She wasn't sure what or who was holding up the scouts and offered no insight as to what it could be. Would-be Could-be situations were most unhelpful. Though she had to admit, the more she listened to Aselia speak of the firebird, the more she wanted to see it herself. Was it a bird that was alight with flames that didn't harm it, or was its plumage brilliant with colors of flame?

She was pulled from her imagination by the Mystics voice, "Do I look like a rumor monger?" Neibet asked, voice holding a hint of indignation and hurt, "I care little of what others think or say. Truth is what I witness with my own eyes. Just because you are a little different from the rest, does not make you an other, or false. You are an Alkidike at your core."

Aselia Post 4

Aselia let out a strained sigh, her eyes focus turned towards Neibet as she spoke before turning back to the crystal crawler she had seen give her a rude welcome. "I don't care that you're an extremist, not really. You would think I would have turned out so hated being so... different from the norm." Letting the arrow drop into her quiver before she extended her hand forward. Flames licked to life in the palm of her hand as she grinned. "That aside... Can't I teach him a lesson? He is somewhat away from the others despite that one. And if I use flames, there are very few of these creatures who actually know that I can use magic. Mystics aren't supposed to be well known among their kind right?" Puffing out her cheeks she narrowed her gaze at Talin. She had the perfect spot picked out too. Right there on the tip of his ear, would teach a firm lesson she wasn't someone to be messed with.

Dezani Post 3

Having been noticed a bit by the leaders of both races, Dezani shrank back a bit. He had gotten better at speaking, yes, but any attention drawn to him was still a bit nerve racking. He did happen to notice another they had paid attention to, an ice girl who did look oddly familiar. Raiha squawked when she spotted the girl as well, flying over to her and happily landing on the girl's head. Surprised by his bird's abnormal behavior, he lost his train of thought and focused solely on getting to his troublesome kinfa. For the moment the matter of defending Sauti seemed to be settled, so hopefully they could all take a moment to breathe. He really hoped the girl she had landed on wouldn't mind the sudden intrusion after such serious discussions.

"Get back here you silly bird!" he grumbled after her as he came closer to the iceling.

Ai'iandaroch Post 3

Ai wasn't expecting to be pounced out of no where and he yelped. "Oh hi Myrida, yes Jawaad just found me too," He hadn't quite gotten used to the exuberant shifter but she was alright, he repositioned his hood. "Jawaad this is Myrida, Myrida this is Jawaad." He said the customary introductions and placed Myr back on the ground, not that she was heavy but in a crowd like this he worried about too much attention, feelers might not be recommended here, but some of them knew his mother he was sure, just not enough to make him feel comfortable.

He was grateful to have two friends anyway, companions for the long haul ahead and whatever it may bring.

Ruelash (Post 2)

Direk accepted the treats with great dignity, meaning she gobbled them down quickly and cleanly. She allowed the petting in return, leaning into Sezarra's hands. What was she doing, Direk wondered, in this filthy place. Her pale treat dispenser deserved so much more.

”Uh.” Ruelash blinked. He hadn't even thought about Jawaad. ”No? 'Aven't seen her.” Oddly enough, the thought made him pissed. Now he needed to see her and make sure she wasn't... oh, he didn't know. ”Did ye' hear, there be Alkdikes here?” he said to Sezarra, scanning the crowd and just barely catching sight of them amidst a growing crowd. He made very sure that Jawaad was nowhere near them. ”I wonder if they want a fight already?” he grinned. If they wanted a fight, he'd give it to them. Oh he would give it to them good. "Wanna go over?" he asked, turning to Sezarra.

For the moment, he hadn't actually found his sister... or noticed that she was talking to someone who was very clearly of Alkidike blood...

((I hope you don't mind!))

Dovev (Post 1)

Dovev took a drink of something warm, listening to talk of war. If there was fighting, he was willing to fight. The question was, what was in it for him? If nothing, then he would be just as happy to take his sword and keep going with Teslaron on their adventure, or go home to the hot sands of Oba.

Teslaron was taking a while, likely 'making some money' in the process in his lightfingered way, and Dovev found himself bored. The water tribesman sellsword strode along the crowd, drinking his warm drink, until he found his way to the stage. He glanced at the leaders, and then at some of the audience.

He frowned, staring in surprise at the two clearly pureblooded Alkidike near the stage. They were awfully conspicuous, and he could see they were getting more than a few looks.

Hmm.

Well, why should he not go over to them? He was bored, and the prospect of exploring the festival had, it seemed, gotten much more interesting.

”Pardon this one's intrusion” he began, holding his free hand up in a gesture of clear respect and peace, his other hand occupied by his mug. ”But he is curious. Are you waiting for something in particular?”

Seze post 3

Sezarra turned and peered through the crowd looking for alks. "They must be the good alks or they wouldn't be so stupid to come out here in a mob in broad daylight, not the best survival instincts, I don't care how strong you are if its this lot against three I bet the lot wins."

"Yeah lets go check it out see whats happening." She smiled. She wasn't bloodthirsty so much as primal, familiars were her thing not so much people. Hrmm. She thought she sensed something fishy going on, but wasn't sure what it could be...maybe she was just nervous.

Just quoting you so you can see what he does since I won't be able to tag till monday after the mule post prolly.
Talin post 4 User Image
Talin had spent over half his life in the jungles of Jauhur.. he was well acquainted with Alkidikes and knew that they should not be wielding magic like the bug girl was doing right now. Oh, so now she's escalating? He thought snidely; I'm more worried about arrows, those are faster than many thrown magic.

He pulled out a knife and started tossing it up in the air and catching it, eyes never leaving the alkidikes. He wanted to make sure he could see all of them so that none could sneak up on him. His attitude was cocky, challenging. She wanted to fight then he'd fight.. except he'd be going in for a kill. Talin was also prepared to jump from stall top to stall top to get at her; stalls weren't as easy to hop around on compared to trees, but then it wasn't like she was that far away! He could make it.. wonder if I could do it fast enough so that one dies before anyone notices... or should I wait for them to attack first so that I'm the 'victim.'

He listened as the crowd discussed the plans. At least his people weren't going to run it seemed! And maybe the bounty of non wind or ice earthlings means we can expect help if it happens.

SwordOfTheDarkOnes
Hi there~

Duke Edward Drake
Thank you!

Jawaad Post 3

She nodded in agreement to his words, amused at the comment, “Sleep is for the weak, right?” she said with a smile. “If I’m needed, I shall. I’m not quite sure if the rumors are truly coming to fruition, but, with that being said, I’m here for Sauti.” She paused for a moment, nodding eagerly “Why yes! She absolutely adored it. I’m actually in the process of finding a nice leather piece for the piece that we made.” She wasn’t quite sure if she would be wearing it for a necklace just yet, but it would be a nice adornment for her quiver strap. Something to keep close.

The ice earthling nearly jumped out of her skin that the newly arrived female. She was… excitable and it took her a moment to respond to the introduction. “Nice to meet you, Myrida.” It was odd to see a shifter so far from the jungles, but it was nice to meet someone new. “And what do you think of all this?” Color her curious.

alek post three

Oblivious to his sister's silent ire, Alek had turned inward again, mulling over what the two had said. A scouting party. If the crowd adopted such a strategy he was certain Zuri would insist on going along. But would Kayin? As much as he dreaded her rushing into danger, maybe this was what she needed to make her feel as though her life had purpose.

"There might even be an opportunity to weaken them if the rumors are true and the scouts are stealthy enough." He hated to suggest such things, but he wasn't about to stop them doing what they felt was necessary. He could at the very least try to strategize.

Zuri - Post Four
She listened to the two of them, nodding. It was a good plan. Looking around for a second she wondered who it was that they should bring the plan up to. Freya? Or should she try to get a few of them and just go off and look. As much as she didn't want to bring her siblings along she felt it would be best to have them close to her just in case.

"You are both right. A scouting party will tell us if all this talk is even true, and if it is true the party can report how many of these women we are up against. Just how do we go about getting one together... And do we really need more people?" or permission? Three seemed like enough to her. She would have liked one more though, someone skilled in silence.

Shukri post 2

With no place on a battlefield and desiring not to be the object of anyone's attention right now Shukri remained silent. Personally he saw no problem with letting the Alkikdike try and put down roots in Sauti. It was a harsh and barren land that they'd find no reprieve in without Bergchi's blessing. Much as he cared for and respected Maya he didn't see her or her sisters carving out a place for themselves in Sauti anymore than he saw the wind tribe adapting to the sweltering heat and moistness of Jauhar. An individual might do it but not a whole people.

It would only waste valuable lives and resources to fight the Alkikdike when the land could turn them away for them in a year or two. Until then the various roving families of the wind tribe could be on the move as they always were.

Finished packing up his wares for the day Shukri hefted the large crate full of valuables up to his chest and left the safety of his stand to join the crowd. He'd stay and listen to see what was ultimately decided or at least until his arms grew tired, he'd get the news at the camp nearby soon anyways.

Zumei Post 2

All the talk of war made Zumei nervous, but also a bit excited. It seemed everyone was willing to defend her home. She was determined to as well, but she didn't know how she would. She could help scout around, though she wasn't particularly sneaky. Maybe she could carry things for the fighters and healers. Even if she could, she'd probably just get in the way. All she really wanted to do was help out in some small way! That seemed pretty hopeless now though. She wasn't really good at anything and needed to learn more. Maybe someone could teach her before the real battle began.
