There was a storm of light and energy as he warped away from the room...the city...and hopefully closer to his home! There was only one problem. He didn't have the codes for Sapporo, and forgot which of the codes on his phone he was actually putting in! Where would he end up? What would he encounter!? Was there even a reason in his going~!? "...wait, haven't I been here before?" Quote: Kyuzo teleports...to another city! As he appears, he encounters a gaggle of App Abusers in the streets outside, and is forced to defeat them to keep the Terminal's true location obscure. "I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"There was nothing wrong with the Kobold as far as utility went, but the Tam Lin was much more his speed, the dark-haired, dark-eyed man thought as he watched it spear through a Kabuso and scatter it into magnetite. Behind him, the Kobold was bashing a Poltergeist into the ground in a rather comically enthusiastic manner...but none of that explained the kid earlier with the JPs logo on his phone or the yellow-clad guys walking around the city. He clicked his tongue in annoyance...he was missing something, and he didn't like the thought of being left in the dark.
"If I'm going to protect Kotori and the Vultures, I need to find out what's going on," he thought with a glare down the road towards a distant golden uniform shirt, "Time to go on the hunt..."Quote: Devil: Kobold [3] and Tam Lin [6] 1 Tokens

Listen up for a second," the Boss wrapped his arm around the shoulder of a JPs agent running down the street, effectively stealing him out of stride long enough to have a quick word...his grip and his dark eyes made arguing out of this conversation nigh-pointless for the poor worker bee for the government...which was good enough for Kakyo, since he didn't have time to ask higher up the food chain just yet, "What's up with this whole JPs thing? Three days now you've been running around like you own the place, but you see, this isn't your city...or anybody's city. So tell me, what are you doing here?"
The man considered lying, but a squeeze of his bicep silenced that idea rather sharply. Boss Kaido...he wasn't in the mood for games. "I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"Intimidating a member of JPs had been a good way to get some information, but he supposed he should have foreseen the backlash that was going to come from taking the strong-arm approach. Several JPs soldiers had come across him just as he was preparing to let the man go, and so a standoff was imminent...the Boss face-to-face with five members of the organization that he now knew were both protecting the city...and putting down anybody who tried to rebel against their protection or take the supplies that they were absolutely hoarding. This...well, this was a chance to punch authority in the face and remind everybody in the city, including these stuffed yellow shirts, who exactly Boss Kaido really was.
"Come on, then. Nobody gets free reign in this city without going through the Boss...didn't you know?" he cracked his neck, his two demons flanking him, ready for a fight, "Not even Jian Lin Kuei...and you sure as Hell aren't on his level. Or MINE!"Quote: Devil: Kobold [3] and Tam Lin [6] 12 Tokens

"I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"It had been a vicious confrontation, but he was well on his way towards defeating the agents of JPs. It was at that moment that the demons had arrived, swarming down the street...Inugami, Tenong Cut, and a Hairy Jack running out at the front of the swarm. Turning around and allying himself with his attackers immediately, they recognized the greater threat and prepared for the rush. Afterward, if they wanted a piece of him they could get it, but right now...they had to defend this street and the city as a whole.

"I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"The first few demons had been fought off without any casualties, but the second wasn't so safe. He had to clench his teeth in anger and fight even harder when he saw a Tenong Cut slice a ribbon through one of the JPs officers who had been fighting at his side. Turning swiftly, he had Tam Lin slice viciously through the demon but a few seconds too late...it turned to magnetite as the soldier bled out almost simultaneously. There was nothing they could do...they could only fight on.
"Kobold! Smash!" he growled as the Hairy Jack dodged and lunged...but was caught under the heavy strike of the club and reduced to nothing, putting an end to one of the major threats of the rush coming at them. Tam Lin turned and rejoined the fray to fight back against the swarm, and they were turning the tide. "I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"It was starting to turn against them...the swarm kept growing and growing and his own numbers were dwindling...could he keep it up much longer? Could he keep fighting? His teeth gnashed as he caught a Mokoi thrusting a spike at his face, inches from running him through, and he tossed it back and away from him, leaping onto its chest with a crushing foot that broke its body and scattered it into nothing. But all around him his demons were weakening, and the last of the JPs soldiers were falling to the swarm. It was at that moment that he heard a voice, loud, feminine, and ferocious...he recognized that dialect immediately.
"Osaka?! What the Hell?!"
...She practically glided into the street and unleashed a torrent of wind magic that ripped through the devils and gave him just the respite he needed to turn the tide. "Hey! I got the call that things were getting bad in Oshu; we've got to stick together at times like this, don't we?" she beamed, energetic and strong...it reminded him of Kotori, her strength...her energy and purity, "Well? Are you going to help me finish them off, or what?" She smiled, but the desperation was there in hints. He didn't need her to ask him twice.

"I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"Finally, he was able to rest...the swarm had been fought off and the girl from Osaka had said her goodbyes and headed back towards the transport Terminal that she had told him about. Going to another city was tempting, but he couldn't leave his Oshu City, not while Kotori was still here. This was their home to defend. This was their place to live, to survive, and if he left just to find somewhere better to endure this apocalypse it would have felt like betraying his home. And yet, he had a family to consider...would Tokyo be safer? Wouldn't it be the best move for his wife if he took them somewhere she could survive? His city or his family...he was loyal to both, but when it came to what was most important...
He shook his head, trying to push the thoughts out of his mind. That was a decision he could wait to make. For now, he needed to figure out this whole JPs situation. Just because Hinako had saved him, it didn't mean that they were going to be off of his back for what he had done to one of their own. If anyone else knew...he had to expect more threats in the future. "I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"Before he moved on to bigger fights, Kakyo decided that it was time to check back home; making sure that his wife was fine and that his home was still at least somewhat standing was important to him. It reminded him of what he was fighting for. And what he was fighting for was another tomorrow for his little family unit, which he hoped would be growing one day sooner, rather than later...though it would be better if he could bring them into a world where the Lin Kuei were gone. This, however, wasn't exactly what he had in mind when he thought of that future without them.
Demons...Lin Kuei...which were the superior option? Couldn't he simply get rid of them both? His teeth grit as he moved back down the stairs...his eyes focused sharply on the road before him. "I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?"It wasn't far from his doorstep that he saw those yellow shirts again rushing past, and he knew that something big must have been going on. Following them to get a piece of the action, Kakyo came face-to-face with his first demon below the lowest tiers...and he knew that things were about to really pick up. This was too close to his home...too close to that beloved girl that he was trying to keep safe from all of these nightmares. He knew he had to fight and he had to win...his phone was open before he had reached the agents and the demon was out by the time he passed them.
"Tam Lin! Attack!" he called out as the vicious Abraxas knocked away another JPs soldier...the spear slicing a chunk out of its side as it lunged forward. He wasn't with the soldiers...but if fighting their fights for them was going to keep their city safe, he'd let them be on their own, for now. It was only then that a voice from the JPs soldiers he had protected spoke up, vindictive...haughty...and he knew, in that moment, it was the one he had interrogated earlier, feeling more confident with his 'reinforcements' there and his attacker exhausted. He threatened to return the favor for the rough interrogation earlier...it was enough to make the Boss smirk and nearly laugh in frustration. Idiots...such idiots...weren't there more important things to worry about than one guy right now? And yet he supposed this was the fruit of his own actions, going the strong-arm route instead of negotiating...
"Do you really want to do this?" he turned his head, blood of the demon splattered across his face...and the glare was enough to freeze the blood in the veins of the agent threatening him, which wilted his friends in an instant, "Well? Come the ******** on, you shitty b*****d! I'm waiting!"

"I have the most loving, beautiful, understanding wife in the world...okay I said it, honey, you can stop poking me now, all right?""The agents up here really have it out for you, don't they?" the same energetic, Osakan voice from before spoke in amusement as she walked into the clearing full of dead demons behind the man called the Boss...coming to stand beside him with a faint smile, "Hiroki couldn't stop complaining about that 'Pale, Gangster Guy' attacking him from behind while they were 'heroically' fighting off the demons. I recognized it was you right away and set him straight...don't look so surprised I knew it was you, you kind of stand out, you know?" Hinako couldn't help but smirk playfully, even when he nearly snorted in amusement at her rather pot-calling-the-kettle-black statement. He stood out? Really?
"Speak for yourself, Osaka. I'm not even sure you can call what you're wearing a shirt," Kakyo laughed as he turned to greet her, finding himself at least considering this one a friend if the rest of JPs didn't think too much of him (and vice versa), "I don't think JPs and I are going to see eye-to-eye no matter what you say, though. They're looking to control things, not protect the people. That's never going to jive in this city. Not with me." She couldn't help but smile faintly, almost as if remembering something important...close to her heart. She was from Osaka, after all. She knew just what he meant when he talked about that sense of community. Only her home was...
"I'm Hinako...Hinako Kujou...we didn't get a chance for introductions last time, but I figure if we're going to keep meeting up like this, it will be good to know each others names, right?" she smiled, and he had to admit...allies, friends in a time like this outside of his Vultures...it was too good of a prospect to turn down, "Kakyo...but everyone calls me Boss Kaido. Everyone but my wife, that is..."
...Even she couldn't hide her surprise at that. "Your wife?!" He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. It wasn't that weird, was it?
