[ someone stop me D1 IAN / D2 ALISTIAREIAN - COURTYARDIt was fortunate that Ian had someone to hold onto, because his head was spinning unpleasantly at the very idea of moving. He gripped Shiloh's hand with an iron grasp, lurching along beside him and trying very hard to focus on the matter at hand.
"I can't hear Naomi," he grunted out, the feeling extremely unsettling. "I can't hear anything except my own damn thoughts and everything going around, this is messed up, why can't I hear her - " Quote: Ian:Virus Counter: 7 HP: 50 ALISTAIRE - COURTYARDAlistaire, thankfully, was feeling relatively all right healthwise, but mentally he was more than a little angry.
He didn't show it visibly, only an expression of mild annoyance on his face as he crossed the courtyard, coat billowing behind him like a cape. There were several he passed on the way that he vaguely recognized - Maybe, for one, carrying someone on her back - but he didn't talk to her, instead looking around for some sort of idea as to what the hell was happening.Quote: Alistaire: 5 Virus Counter: HP: 50

[Entering Courtyard]She was making good headway. She could even see the doors out, when she felt Otto's fingers clutching against her body, a warning sign that he wasn't going to make it any further without some kind of projectile consequence. She slowed down and forced her steps to be as smooth as possible, until she could get him outside into the fresh air, where she moved him down to the wall and slowly, carefully slid him onto the ground. "Okay. No more. We'll wait here for-" She didn't have to wait for anything. She could already tell, when she turned around and rested against the wall herself, that half of Deus was out here. She'd made the right choice, apparently - but by the looks on their faces, they knew as little as she did. So she sighed, and rested her head back on the wall. "Fooor the world to end." That sounded about right. Quote: Maebe: Virus Counter: 1 HP: 50

courtyard
Leslie made it to the courtyard and swore at the sight of vines, perturbed and alone and frightened and tense and so very ******** alone. Abbi was nowhere to be seen, and not a single ******** runic clearance to his name.
He looked around. Some Life division ********, and some Death division ********, Rep included. (And no sight of Isaac. Not yet.) A splitting headache had taken residence in his skull. Did standard operating procedures still apply? Leslie was a healing and defensive oriented Mist, but without his weapon, he was nothing.

It was really scary not having Dae boss her around in her head, but there were loud noises and it was dark and oh gosh oh gosh what was she supposed to dooooooooo. Mimi was on the verge of tears, looking around to see if there was anyone who could help her. She spotted a very familiar and super-nice hunter with golden hair, and while it seemed like she was busy talking to someone else, Mimi was terrified, and needed someone to comfort her. "SHERRY-SANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN' She pretty much flew into the hunter, clutching Sherry tightly as she sobbed into her coat.Quote: MimiLocation: Dorms Virus Counter: 2 HP: 40/40 lurks beneath. stormy/nora - dorms
The alarm scared Stormy out of her light sleep, and her legs entangled in the sheets even further. Panicked, she fought off the invisible monster until she realized that, oh, it was just the not a drill alarm, and that the thump she'd heard was not an invader but just Gale reacting to it.
"What...?" she began when more noises interrupted her. Someone was pounding on the door.
"OI! Wake up!" called Nora, who was only just slightly possibly a little frightened.

dawson - courtyard
Scooby Doo himself couldn't have run faster than Dawson. Forcibly clean shaven and with a new haircut that made him scowl, he'd already been having a bad day after that strange, ditzy effect had taken over. And now on top of that they had some sort of island emergency? He didn't know whether to be pissed or scared as hell.
So he went for a mix of both as he skittered outside, looking for authority or an explanation or even just the simplest orders.
"Uh...someone wanna gimme the cliff notes?"

[ courtyard ]For a few seconds, Wilson was staring down the barrel of a trapping gun. The hands guiding it were shaking; it didn't seem like they would have been able to pull the trigger even if Wilson had been a threat. "Oh, it's just you." Lucky quickly lowered it again, but still clung to the weapon like it was his only hope right now. He was doing nothing to mask the look of terror in his eyes, or body language. Everything was tense. "Sorry, don't - don't scare me like that." He'd finally noticed Bradley beside him, and spent several seconds trying to figure out why the guy looked so familiar. "Do I know you?" He briefly made eye contact with Rep, but the other hunter's expression was in no way reassuring. " God damn it, Gale," Lucky hissed, stating what they were both thinking. Dorm (in his room) Dressing was a chore, but when that he still managed to do as quickly as he was capable of with the pounding in his head that the alarms were not helping at all. "Good." He huffed out, as he pulled on his shirt and grabbed for a few other things before throwing on his jacket as well. "Your weapon?" He asked, voice a bit hoarse as he strode towards the other man, reaching for his arm, pulling him around. "Yes. Just..." He looked into Ripley's eyes. Normal. Amber. Nothing strange about them. [ Dorms ] His dreams had been, as usual, full of scary things, but instead of waking up to a quiet room Jason pretty much fell out of bed flailing, tangled up in his sheets as alarms blared and the lights went out, leaving him to sigh dramatically. Then he realized that he felt a little...vulnerable "Zanthvos" Nothing. "Zanthvos sersiouly say something Still nothing. [ Bradley - Courtyard ]
Bradley stared at the hunter who pointed a trapping gun in his cousin's face. He was so very close to smacking the hunter in the face for even doing so, more so than usual. A lack of contact with his weapon, the general disarray of Deus and the underlying panic in the air, made him incredibly twitchy. When he turned and looked at him though, Bradley frowned.
He looked familiar. Way too familiar to be a coincidence, but he'd never actually talked to this one. Ever. Bradley shrugged.
"Probably not. Been on dishwashing duty for hte past several months." As if that explained it all or something.
He was feverish too. What was up with that?

[Dorms] When the lights just plain went out in the middle of his late night study/nuzlocke session, Jacob wondered if whatever generators they used at these levels had given up the ghost, but there was screaming outside, and not the knee-jerk 'suddenly it's dark' type of screaming. It was more of the 'bad things are happening' type of screaming. His phone wasn't working, and even more worryingly, Peanut wasn't talking to him. " What the hell is going on?" Jacob yelled into the hall, pulling on his coat. At times like these, he was pretty sure he'd better find someone of higher rank. Hopefully, they'd have some idea of what to do, cause Jacob sure freakin' didn't. Quote: JacobVirus Counter: 1 HP: 40/40

[Dormitories] Sherry smiled. "It's okay! I've got a few things. Just stay vigilant." They would be fine, probably. The Island itself was usually safe. ...Sherry didn't need Armagnac to remind her of what a lie that was. "Okay." She took another look around, trying to push her nerves down. She would really like to find Jake. She would-- Another voice calling her name caught her attention and then she found herself with a crying Mimi attaching herself to her. "Mimi. Mimi calm down, it's going to be okay." She pat the girl on the head. "Oh," she said, looking back up to the first girl, "I'm Sherry, by the way." [ Courtyard ]
The gun’s muzzle should have scared Wilson, but it actually didn’t. His eyes just turned cross-eyed as he continued to hold onto Lucky’s hand, but eventually let go. Wilson paused to look at the man’s face, his shaking hands, and then back to his face before he took a moment to place a firm hand on Lucky’s shoulder.
He narrowed his eyes and stared straight into the other hunter’s. “Calm down. Take a few deep breaths. You’re not going to solve this problem if you’re panicking.” Wilson’s grip tightened, and perhaps he was speaking to himself too when he added, “Swallow your fear.”
Finally letting go, Wilson’s suspiciously gaze lingered on Lucky as he took a protective step toward Bradley. “Sounds like you have an idea about what’s happening.” A pause. “And this is my cousin. Bradley. Bradley. Lucky.” Quick, awkward arm gestures at said-cousin. Introductions were not exactly the best thing to do right now, but still.

CourtyardIn the courtyard, he looked out for anyone he could see and pulled out his phone to try and dial Jan - but it didn't have any signal. Not even that, it just refused to work. What could bug with runics? He hoped the backup energy would keep the pods okay.
This is nuts.
Looking around, he started to call out. "JAN?!" He shouted, trying to test out if the man was somewhere among the masses. "JAN!" Quote: HP: 50/50 Virus Counter: 6

courtyardFortunately for Evan, he hadn't been sleeping when the alarms had started blaring. Quite the opposite; this had been one sleepless night among many, and he had been running around the training fields trying to wear himself out when the racket had started. Curious and eager at the prospect of some actual action, he veered towards the courtyard. Others seemed to be milling around, and Evan almost ran into another Hunter who seemed to be having enough trouble standing, let alone walking. "Easy, easy," he said, catching him by an arm before he could fall down. "You all right? What's going on?" virus counter: 1 hp: 60/60

CourtyardThe sound of the alarms and the dim glow of the emergency lights were all too familiar. Peyton jerked away with a scream, mind thrown back to the evening that had followed the events in the Tear. The Power outage that had lasted months, the MREs, the entire island on lock down. She spent the first long moment of the emergency trying to separate the past from the present, chest rising and falling in too quick breaths before rolling out of bed and dressing quickly. She was outside a few moments later, pulling her coat on as she bounded away from the entrance of the dorms and headed for the courtyard. Warrick? He wasn't speaking. Wasn't rumbling with worry or disapproval. He wasn't there at all, and that on it's own was very distressing. It didn't help that her head was swimming and her stomach lurched threateningly. She had to pause, hands on her knees, to suck in deep breaths. Willing the world around er to still. Lip's pressed in a thin line as she straightened, and Peyton made a bee-line for a familiar face. "Cami!" DormsEzekiel jerked away with shout and a wince, cursing soundly under his breath as the alarms blared around him. So loud, so grating, for just a moment he forgot where he was. It took a glance down at his side, the pale body still beside him, for him to remember. He met dark eyes, his own wide with alarm and the sort of confusion that came from being ripped violently from a deep sleep. "What the ********?" Almost a year on the island, and he'd never experienced this. Someone had once told him that things had been quiet lately. He hadn't known what to make of it at the time. Now it just made him pissy as he pushed back the blankets and went for his clothing on the floor. Underwear, jeans, and tee shirt were all pulled on quickly, then he was sitting again so he could pull on his boots, biting back a pained sound as it tweaked at his shoulder. He didn't notice the absence of Lagertha's voice in his head, it hadn't been there for weeks now. DormsGretchen very nearly fell out of bed when the blare of the alarms jerked her out of a sound sleep. A small, startled scream, a moment of utter confusion, then she was grouping over the edge of her bed for the prosthetic she always kept there. It took a moment to get it on, a moment more to grab her coat so she could pull it over the tank top and boy shorts she'd worn to bed, then she was heading out into the hall, wide-eyed and nervous. "Isaac?" Only a few rooms away, he was the closest. She went for him first, and if he wasn't there she'd have to hope she ran into someone else. She didn't want to be alone, not if something awful was happening. She couldn't even hear Devika's cold hiss. A hand smacked against the stone wall as the hall tilted dangerously. She felt sick. Light headed and feverish, as if the floor beneath her feet just wasn't that steady.
