This time around, Shun decided to give himself a bit more time to recover before getting things ready to head back out into the wilderness. He saw the folly of his ways in his last few attempts. His troubles were far from over as well. While he traversed the lands, he found the ground becoming harder to travel over. It was costing him a great deal more energy than he would have expected when he chose this route. Then again, when he had planned things, he was expecting to still have his horse. But, just when he thought he was going to have to retreat, he found a cache of food. Shun took this blessing wholeheartedly, or at least as wholeheartedly as a guy like Shun could. It probably is not much, really. The knight apprentice took the rations and added it to his stock. Hopefully, his destination was not far, now. Eagles came out of nowhere as he reached the peak of the mountain he climbed. He soon found out the reason why as well. They apparently were guarding another artifact. He fended them off to the best of his ability. Shun wasn't unharmed from the encounter, but in the end, he got what he wanted. He let out a sigh of relief once he was able to start decending the mountain to head back to Camelot, where he could maybe get a little bit of rest before going back to work. After having trecked out so many times, Shun wasn't sure if there was really much use in this quest any more. There were still artifacts out there, he supposed. But the king was still very much missing. This was going to be his final venture. As he needed to focus on the defense of the castle. He grabbed his supplies, as well as fetched his horse from the stables. Once everything was set, he rode on out. QUEST STATUS Food remaining: 23 YOUR HP:30

Shun really should have picked a different horse. By now, he should have realized that Blacktide really was an unreliable beast. But he brought him out anyway. And sure enough, the damn horse ended up abandoning him before they could get too far from the castle. He wasn't going to bother going back to fetch him. He would do this on his own. And of course, to make matters worse, a few of his rations ended up spoiling due to an encounter with a giant spider. Shun lamented for the loss, but he couldn't stick around for long.
