 "Sure. Have a good day at work." Luna said smiling as she sat on the couch. While he was gone, she couldn't help but transform into her fox form to keep suspicion out of everyone's mind. She watched out the window from time to time wondering when Zak would be home. Once five o'clock came around, she started to make dinner for them. She was making some chicken with home made gravy, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Her husband loved the way she would prepare the gravy. She always put a special, secret ingredient to make it taste great. She hoped Zak would like it too. Soon the house was filled with the smell of the food she was making as she made it to the best of her ability.

 Zak unlocked the door and entered the apartment, carrying a bag of groceries. He walked into the kitchen, sniffing the air, "Wow. What are you cooking? It smells delicious." He smiled at her, before putting the bag down and unpacking it. "Do you need help with anything?"

Thanks. It's actually just chicken, with a family recipe for home-made gravy, with greenbeans and mashed potatoes. I thought that you might like something like this while I'm able to make it." She said smiling before hearing his next question. "Could you get the dishes out for me?" She asked smiling.

"Well that was nice of you," replied Zak with a nice. He gave her a small hug, then let go. "And don't worry about the dishes. I can get those." Then he went to the cabinet to set the table for the two of them.

Luna blushed when he hugged her. "Hey Zak.....Would you mind if I asked you to help me raise my children? They need a father figure in their lives and I think you'd be perfect." She said smiling as she blushed as she plated the food and poured the gravy over the mashed potatoes and chicken.

"You think I'd be perfect?" repeated Zak, looking surprised. "Uhh... well I'd be happy to help take care of them. But I am not sure how good of an influence I'd be... I'm not really really that important or influential. But if you think so..."

"Thanks Zak. I'm sure they'll love having you as their father." Luna said smiling as she set the dirty pans in the sink.
When the time came, Luna had the twins. She had a boy and a girl. The girl she named Anna Rose, and the boy was Daniel Anthony, or Danny for short. Luna smiled as she held the twins while the nurse went to get Zak. Once she got him into the room Luna smiled and said "Come say hello." Anna Cooed as he looked at Zak while Danny snuggled into Luna's chest cutely making cute sounds as he did. Danny looked almost exactly like his father while Anna looked like her mama in every way. Anna's tail started wagging as she looked at Zak cooing at him. Luna saw this and giggled saying "Would you like to hold Anna?" She asked as she looked at Zak blushing. She'd come to love him in more ways than one. Danny stayed close and gripped his mama's hospital gown not wanting to leave her arms making Luna smiled. "Shhhh. mama's here" She said as she gently rocked them humming a lullaby.

Zak stood rigidly to the side, looking nervous about being the hospital with a new mother and her twin infants. He wasn't used to being around children. But despite himself, nodding his head and held out his hands. "Yes... I would like to hold her. If... you think it's a good idea anyway." He smiled at Luna, trying to be supportive as he took the baby to hold. "Huh... She's heavier than I thought."

Luna smiled handing Anna to him. "Make sure to support her head with your arm." Luna said. Once Anna was in his arms she giggled at what he said. "Well that only means there is more of her to love." She said before noticing Anna was snuggling up to Zak like she would her daddy. Anna held Zak's free finger in her little hand showing she had a strong grip but not strong enough to hurt him. She was too young to smile just yet but that didn't stop her from showing Zak she loved him. Danny stayed in Luna's arms showing he was a mama's boy. Both of the twins fell asleep once they were comfortable.

"Yep, I can do that," Zak replied, holding the baby gently in his arms. He slowly smiled down at Anna. Then Zak looked back at Luna, "Well, they are cute. As far as babies go. Congratulations."

Luna smiled seeing Anna was comfortable around Zak. "Thank you. Though I must warn you that my kind, as babies, we are much like puppies. We tend to teeth earlier than humans but we are not blind or deaf." She said smiling as Danny started gripping her finger as she held him. Anna was snuggled up to Zak not wanting to leave his arms.

"Oh..." said Zak, slowly pulling his finger away from the baby's mouth while he held her close. "So are there other aspects to it too? Like do they age faster too? Sorry, I'm not all that familiar with your species yet. You're the first one I've talked to, and we've only known each other for a couple months."

Luna giggled seeing him take his finger away from Anna's mouth. "She won't start teething until about 3 months from now. They won't have fox forms like mine until they are five, as far as I know. It tends to differ depending on the child." She said smiling as Anna started stirring almost crying because Zak took his finger away from her. She was turning out to be a daddy's girl. Luna smiled as Anna woke up and reached for his finger wanting to stay with him.

Zak smiled a little, rocking Anna in his arms a little as he let her play with his finger again. "Well how are you feeling? Need some rest? You have quite the afternoon."

Luna giggled and said "I'm fine, Zak. Don't worry, I promise I'll let you know if I need anything. Though right now, I just want to spend time with these little one's and a little time with you if possible. You know since I won't be able to do much for a few days until I've healed." She then blushed as she looked at him with a smile. Anna stopped looking like she was going to cry as Zak rocked her and let her hold his finger as she fell back asleep. "There's a chair over here if you want to sit for a while. Besides I don't think Anna will let you leave." She said with a giggle as she saw Anna snuggled into Zak's chest with her head against his arm, enjoying his comforting scent while Danny was in her arms holding his mommy's finger.
