Teiluj paused in her reach towards V'demhe to make sure she was ok. Her eyes snapped to meet the Alkidikes before a surging blush gave rise on her cheeks. Blindsided by V'demhe's words Teiluj could only stare at her blinking twice as she tried to register what V'demhe was thinking, what she was saying. "D-do you mean in a romantic sense?" Teiluj asked, she wasn't trying to make the situation more awkward, aware of the tension that was so tangible in the air.

Reaching up to the pendant around her neck Teiluj twirled the object nervously between her fingers. There was no way V'demhe liked her in that sense. There just couldn't be, the whole idea just seemed so foreign to Teiluj. "I'm glad we share the same beads." Teiluj smiled nervously as she waited for V'demhe to answer her.

But even when the answer came, how would she handle it? What if it was romantically after all that V'demhe had been referring to? What if it was Teiluj herself who had been confused all this time and the Alkidike would just laugh at her? Teiluj glanced away as her shoulders slumped forward.

Teiluj blushed furiously, turning around so she was looking straight at V'demhe. A soft smile lighting her features. She knew from what her mother had told her that the Amazonian women were more attracted to females than to males, considering it was tradition for them to join hands and approach Aisha for a child. Swallowing hard as she reached for one of V'demhe's hands she could feel her body shaking. This was someone she considered a good friend, and it seemed she was like most Alkidike after all.

There was just no way however that Teiluj would be able to return those affections beyond a close friendship. Both hands tried to hold V'demhe's as she opened and closed her mouth several times. Her blush deepened as she struggled to find the correct words. "I Appreciate your feelings V'demhe." Trailing off to look away before continuing. "But Aisha will not accept one as riddled with earthling blood as I am. I have..."

Teiluj found herself once again trailing off letting go of V'demhe's hand and looking away. "I have... well... I have earthling parts." She settled a hand on her stomach. "Y-you... You and I would... never succeed in asking Aisha... and I'm well... I'm attracted to men." The thought of Nkole burst towards the forfront of her mind as she stumbled about her words. Trying to ease V'demhe's worries.

"I bet these look really good. Thank you so much. Please don't end our friendship just because I can't Reciprocate your feelings."

Teiluj gave a weak smile back to V'demhe, it was comforting to know this wouldn't end their friendship. It had nearly ended with Isaris after everything that had happened to them, she appreciated V'demhe's understanding. Even though she felt guilty for the discomfort and pain she assumed the girl must be feeling right now. Breathing deeply Teiluj looked back towards home. Turning back at the sounds of V'demhe shifting closer eyes grew wider as they watched the Alkidike move closer.

A blush settled on her cheeks, the last time someone had approached her like this it had been Isaris kissing her. Opening her mouth to say something, to give a protest that it would only make things worse for V'demhe, their lips connected cutting her short.

As V'demhe's lips left hers Teiluj brought her fingers up to run along her lips. Why were people so adamant about kissing her? Especially when those kisses didn't mean anything. First Isaris, now V'demhe. Nodding at V'demhe's question Teiluj looked sideways towards the ground. "As a friend." Teiluj agreed. Mentally vowing that from here on out she would no longer leave herself so vulnerable to others in that way. Nor would she be going around kissing just anyone either. Even if there were different ways of kissing, and different meanings behind them. It felt like the more she was kissed the less meaning was held in the action.

Teiluj's eyes followed V'demhe as she moved. Giving a light sneeze, the mixed blooded Alkidike moved to rub a finger under her nose. "It's ok, I can understand the feelings a little. I'm sorry that I am unable to return them." The conversation only seemed to continue to grow awkwardly as they spoke. Part of her wanted to leave things where they were but knew better than that. To leave with things on such a bad note might forever tear them apart. Teiluj couldn't bear the idea of loosing a friend, especially when she had so few of them to start with.

The offer to swim while tempting was beyond Teiluj. Her body was tired her mind was exhausted. She had no idea what to think with all that had happened. Rising to stand Teiluj shook her head and smiled at V'demhe. "Nah, if you want to swim go for it, I wont go anywhere, I'm just a bit tired. I think..." Teiluj trailed off as she moved towards a tree slinking down to the ground to rest her back against it. "I think I will rest here a while, in your company."

Teiluj couldn't help the guilty feelings that rushed through her. The pulled against her heart, was she a horrible person? Had she somehow led V'demhe on? When had these feelings emerged in her friend? Had there been any way of avoiding this awkward situation, Teiluj was sure she would have tried that first. Giving a sigh before opening her mouth to ask if she was sure Teiluj was surprised to find her friend had slipped under the water. Huffing Teiluj let her head fall back against the tree as her eyes dropped.

Teiluj let sleep engulf her for the time being, content to stay where she was. The feeling of security allowed her to sleep a little more restfully for a little while before she woke with a start. How long had she been gone from home? Groaning at the reminder Teiluj brushed her bangs from her groggy sleep filled eyes.

Suddenly feeling disoriented Teiluj broke through the foggy sleep and started looking around. It took her a moment before the previous events came flooding back to her through the haze of dreams. A panic washed over her body as she searched for V'demhe. Had she left already?

Teiluj wanted to fall asleep like permission had been given but so much of her mind seemed to be waking up it would be nearly impossible for her to fall back asleep. Letting Dem carry her for a bit longer as her blush rose back to her cheeks. This felt a little out of sorts for her even if there was such an obvious height difference. "I-if I'm heavy... I can walk... it's really not that far from here." Teiluj stuttered clearly flustered by the entire situation. The wind rustled in her hair pulling at the freshly strung beads. Teiluj reached back to touch them. She had seen beads in nearly all the Alkidikes but now they were in her hair. It made her feel like she was just one step closer to proving just how strong she could be.

Wiggling free of V'demhe's arms Teiluj gave her a soft happy smile. "Thank you V'demhe, I think it's better if I go my own way now. Will I see you again?" Worry filled her face as her eyes searched V'demhe's face for emotions she could potentially be hiding. Would she be upset she wasn't inviting her back to the house? Teiluj wrapped her arms around her body and stared back towards the house.

"I really do appreciate you bringing me this far though. And I'll make sure to get plenty of sleep." She spoke reassuringly.
